'Anchor' is the proper nautical term. Usually a good idea (but not always - many 'noob' CV players anchor exclusively behind an island somewhere, or worse, head for a border or a corner). If you use a short auto-pilot track you should always be able to move forward (unless you are dumb enough to anchor too close to an island & be pointing the wrong way). Yes, reversing via auto-pilot is frustrating & often leads to disaster. Two points here, dN00b (btw, your name is really 'st00pid'): 1) Try not to make an auto-pilot order with too much in the way of a turn, especially, anywhere near an island & 2) Always use just one waypoint order & change it if necessary - this is not difficult while managing your one squadron &, also, I advise keeping a CV (mostly) on the move - again, not difficult to do.

I don't play 'kindergarten' mode. Perhaps, you should put on your big boy pants & play in random battles.

For * Everyones Information *, this is post #93, hence 92 previous up to this point. Amazingly, 66 different ships are listed as a favourite. 11 ships were mentioned either twice or thrice for a total number of 77 out of 92 posts. The remaining posts were just 'comments'. Only 8 ships are mentioned more than once with the Leander being chosen 3X (the unofficial winner?). Note: A few (several?) jokers added their choice (I counted/included them just because I can't play 'judge' & how can one remove forum jokers - they come with the territory, lol). So, 66 different ships means there's a lot of ships that appeal to the players for one reason or another (which is cool).

Poll: Does knowing the odds reduces gambling?
Aethervoxx replied to Ocsimano18's topic in General Discussion
Yes, Ocsimano18, you need this option for your poll. Some of us refuse to ever get suckered by Wedgie loot boxes considering we've all been suckered by Wedgie due to all their horrid alterations* to their game. * horrid alterations = what Wedgie has done since & including the farce garbage CV rework. -
Conclusion This These ^^^^^^. Be our guest, Padds01, you can seek the worst player ranking in 'rank' Ranked Battles play. We hear some might actually like beating their heads against a concrete wall .

Wargaming could we get Zorkiy as a coal ship?
Aethervoxx replied to Puffin_'s topic in General Discussion
NO! -
Ummm, err, .... is kindergarten mode (aka co-op) too difficult or too hard for you?
-
This is an old WG argument here. Somehow, it's always some map that's at fault instead of the stupid player .
-
Looks to me as if Wedgie has all the options here but for a hammer (with which to access a kiddie piggybank).
-
This is why Wedgie won't change, not when, keep giving Wedgie money. Ofc, most will just get an 'atomic wedgie' unlike these braggards who come here to brag

Ranked in one week to gold is pointless
Aethervoxx replied to KronosWithWorstRNGEU's topic in General Discussion
Ranked ... is pointless. I'm not participating in it any longer as it just fragments the player base as well as the atrocious MM said battle mode (Wedgie diarrhea) contains. -
It seems that the update messed up aiming quite a bit

Chance of getting 11 losses in a row with a ship
Aethervoxx replied to _TRider_'s topic in General Discussion
11 losses in a row with a ship is entirely possible if one motors out & dies quickly 11 times in a row. -

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
Aethervoxx replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
There is no MM balance. The MM blatantly cheats. I will never give WG another penny when it continually cheats players out of fair battles. -
Incorrect. Play T2. That & T1 are the only tiers guaranteed to not see CVs. Playing T3 you may be uptiered to a T4 battle where you may see CV(s). T3 to T10 can see CV(s). There is one potential solution (& only one) that may mitigate the 'CV problem' that so many players comment on. Simply, have a hard cap of One CV per team for any battle. The problem is WoWS, or rather, WG itself. Wedgie still allows up to two CVs per side in a battle, especially at T4. Recall when War Failing allowed three CVs per side for T4 battles? Recall how long it took War Failing to correct that? * Note how War Failing still hasn't corrected the present two reworked CVs per side. This is now a two years long abuse of this ship class - all to prove Wedgie is right & the nay sayers are wrong .
-
Note how War Failing still hasn't included the odd tier CVs even after 2 years from the reworked CV wreaking. You made more good points than just what I quote, Europizza, and some others make good points too. I'd say good play by both CVs & DDs can highly influence a battle. It is rediculous how difficult it is to sink CVs now, as opposed to their vulnerability before the CV rework. It is also rediculous what WG did to AA to make the ugly stepsister's (reworked CVs) foot to fit into Cinderella's slipper (RTS CVs). Talk about fixing something that wasn't broken. We all know this argument will never cease. We have the three camps - the total CV haters (totally unrealistic), the reworked CV acolytes (WG & their sycophants) & the RTS CV supporters (imo, the correct attitude CV acolytes).

You liked the Wedgie press release I see. My enthusiasm lags a lot further back than yours. -
[Poll] How many sequential stages did you guys go with new line of "German Battleships" in the Armory?
Aethervoxx replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Ooo .... I got the 'special' Gwynnie medal due to refusing to participate in the early access to Ger BCs. I note there's now 8 of us who held out (lol ).- 39 replies

??? DDs have a difficult enough time as it is in taking out BBs. I believe OP is just expressing a BBaby whine here. Anytime one can get a Close Quarters Expert award in anything is good . If you don't get that & you get sunk first, well, 'buck up' Davey Jones. The Ocean won't notice (& doesn't care about) your tears .
