    Certain ships harder to play now

    It is called a meta, sadly the meta changes as WG changes the game. Right now it is all about anti dd and anti cruiser play. CV's have virtually no counter play and DDs are to damn important to not hunt them down. Not gonna lie I love seeing brit cls when I play as I mostly only play Super cruisers. I know it is at least 2 citadels the moment they slow down for smoke.

    It is helpful, especially on the EU dds, but those guide lines are easy to throw off by simple throttle jockeying and turning inwards.

    Cv's dumping on dd's is bad, however it is a necessary evil. Now before you all throw a tantrum and spam angry face allow me to explain. DD is probably the most important class of ship in the game. It is also the hardest ship in the game to play and even harder to master. When you look at everything the community expects a dd player to do in a match it is just overwhelming. What they bring to the battlefield however is equally as powerful. A well played dd can make the difference more often then a well played BB or CA. They can secure victory, keep the enemy spotted, and take a full health ship to 0 in one strike. In the absence of a cv in game the only real threats to a dd is another dd and a consumable that has a cool down an a limited supply that can easily be played around. Now we all know there is very little reward and some extreme risk for a dd to actively spot and or hunt other dds as doing so opens them up to counter fire from cruisers. So yeah a cv is nasty against a dd, however since the only other option tends to avoid the engagement it is kind of needed.

    Pretty nicely put to be honest. Their is a sadder truth behind what we are seeing from WG. In short every effort from Cv rework, subs, and now the commander skill rework will have a negative impact on player enjoyment. New things in a game like this always do. What they will do however is prolong the life of WoWs by offering new revenue streams for WG. 2 more points that more doubloons spent for fxp conversion or more premium time bought.. Add new class of ships means new sales as well as opportunity to make some nasty premium counter play ships to sell. Subs meet super powerful asw dds.Even the CV rework made them money off sales, and eventually we will see WG pump out a few super aa platforms that will shut down cvs again but you will have to pay for it. WG has embraced predatory capitalism with their loot crates, it is not a hard guess they would apply the same logic to other aspects of their game.

  7. I would say dds get a bit more then a minor buff but agree 100%.
  8. Yeah it worked out well. Just got the Yoshi reminds me of the Atago, but with much better range.

    The problem WG has is this. If they make the skill gap low(like now) you end up creating a massive power indifference between classes. If you make the skill gap greater(like RTS) you will get less cvs in play which I know many want. Problem is WG wants Cvs in the game, so their solution is micro changes and review of data. Where this fails is skill level of players actually matters in that data. If you have a majority of potatoes playing cvs you are going to get some pretty meh results that will blunt the skilled players results a bit. We will never be happy with the game as were use to be.

    None of that will happen. I can see why you want them and in many cases i could agree with a few of them. What you are suggesting would take a cv from having an average Damage that is currently over that of most BBs and dropping it down to the levels of most CA's. And when I say CA I mean regular heavy cruiser, not light cruisers or super cruisers.
  12. So one of my gambling streamer friends got me this for christmas and we opened it on his stream. Im curious would anyone be interested in seeing it put together? It is 2000 pieces and is 1/300 scale is about 84 cm long when fully built. So would anyone be interested in watching?

    another wall of text to try and act impressive. Failed to achieve results. At the end of the day all wargaming cares about is money. So while you sit here post the same verbatim tripe we have uttered for like 2 years now, things have not changed and probably will not change. I never said anything contrary for you to have a gotcha moment. Seriously who are you trying to impress? Yes really. A cv going after a stationary or back peddling bb or ca will have a much easier time landing all its ordinance. When they are going after ships that are actively maneuvering they tend to hit less thus they take advantage of defensive postures bbs take and exploit this postures lack of mobility. Also Every class can take advantage of some one playing poorly not sure why you think this only applies to bb and dd, CA and SUPER CA can do this as well. First 4 lines you are 100% correct, everything else is more of the same nonsense I commented on in 2. I have not. In fact I have made many statements showing that CVs are still broken AF, MVR and Roosevelt being the worst of them. WG only cares about stats. So when you look at that what you get is a High of 460k for yammy with an average of 83k. The Mvr is 396k high with an average of 93k.Yes the MVR has a higher Average damage which is something you can attribute to the fact that CVs tend to be the last to die due to the nature of how they are played where as a Yammy tends to soak a ton of damage being a giant slow moving target that every one will fire at. With the change to the dive bombs, which lets be honest were way to consistent in getting 3x cits per drop I think we shall see these averages drop even more and get near parody with other bbs. You say that is grandstanding. Im just using the same information WG bases all their balancing on and not letting my annoyance towards a specific class act as a confirmation bias to my thought process. This has the added bonus of keeping me from being tilted constantly while facing these broken ships. As long as cv's are able to keep their numbers close to the numbers we see from bbs I fear any meaningful balancing that you and I would love to see just wont happen. No amount of complaining by the player base will change that.

    Jesus another wall of text.Yes cv's are powerful. Yes MVR needed balancing. Everything else, WG doesn't care about your feelings and till that changes you are just wasting energy. Yes you can do 60k at 20km with Yammy, however it is much simpler to do 20k plus per strike in an MVR when you are attacking a stationary or backpeddling bb that is posted up on an important position. CVS's are opportunistic hunters that can exploit campers and bow tankers. Everything else is just you grandstanding and trying to impress a point that obviously WG doesnt give a damn about and again a waste of energy. I never compared damage outputs. I stated Yammy can do 60k at 20km. A yammy can always have that potential damage throughout the game unless a turret is destroyed. A cv on the other hand loses that potential with each plane that is destroyed. This loss of potential is easier to achieve as it is done by a nearly automated(and woefully under powered) system. No I never said that, you are just grandstanding at this point. I would point out that a perforated bucket was the inspiration to the watering can as it can simulated rain which is by far a much better means of watering plants and has a higher degree of control over a hose. I mean if you are going to post nonsense I can at least make it educational.

    I was going through the same pattern myself. The only ship I was able to get a chain of wins in was the Atago.

    Not often, but I can also point out a ton of other details that highlight the natural negatives a cv has to contend with that no other ship has to.

    Yamato can also land a 60k hit at 20km. MVR can not.
  23. 32 crates opened from t10 ships, 90k in fxp a ton of trash camos a ton of trash signals 600 doubs some coal depression. Fyi drop rate of the lower tier crates you buy is around 2.8%. Now Im not gonna say the free ones have a lower rate. but it does feel that way.

    nah that took me less then a minuite to think, 3 minuites to edit a symbol and 2 minutes to place it and add text.
