    It is even worse. CVs dont spot you, you just get spotted because planes are up somewhere. Regular planes got a concealment of 10km, if you sit behind an island, shooting but a plane is somewhere in your range, you get spotted. It happens without intention, from any kind of CV player. There is no counter, nothing to be done. Funny thing, thats how the person with the best positioning, gets the worst positioning. If the CV sees a stationary target, it means easy hits and additional AA cover by the island/rocks, or less loses. It just doesnt happen often because of the potato playerbase that cant do anything, neither the avg CV understands the option the moment it occurs or does the surface ships move into this position, since they can only sit in the very back or yolo the cap. But cruisers do get blapped often after getting spotted behind islands, mostly from BBs. I dont think this is controversial at all, a lot CV players agree that there needs to be done something against carriers. Since it is the class with the highest potential influence by spotting and damage, one needs to go and no way weegee nerfs every CV weapon by 30% or so. But there is a problem with the spotting, the rocket change and the delay. CVs struggle to hit DDs and Cruisers, it is a fact, the playerbase cant deal with these reliable. And since CVs are weegees favourable class, i dont see them changing the spotting and making the potato CVs ever weaker against these. It just looks so unlikely for me that Weegee would do this.

    Hier wird ein Beispiel mit 1100 Gefechten und einer WR von unter 30% genannt und du willst uns wirklich erklären Wargaming sucht hier nach irgendwas, irgendwie aktiv? Lächerlich. Es gibt nur 2 mögliche Erklärungen wie euch sowas nicht auffallen kann, keine davon wird dir gefallen. Im Umkehrschluss, wenn ihr den Knallköprer mit 29% WR nicht findet, sehe ich auch nicht wie Ihr den mit 71% finden wollt. Dann noch der grandiose Vorschlag so ein Verhalten doch per Ticket zu melden. Als ob wir dies nie getan hätten! Daaaanke, jetzt wird alles gut.

    We have a winner for the weekly most scuffed matchmaking contest. And yes, this is what Wargaming wanted, otherwise they would have done something after literally everyone warned them about the possible outcome when introducing subs.

    This is only partial true. We got 2 different kind of sub marine players. The avg horrible super losicum that starts pinging at the very first moment and the actual thinking human. The pinging dented genius is something you can handle when you know something about subs, homing torps and how subs position or move. I got my knowledge stolen from, Twitch: Ivan and Triar, take it or not, it worked for me. It didnt felt like playing subs to understand anything further was needed. (Which was not possible in the same way for Carriers). Against these weaker players, dodging is often possible, even killing them is an option. Unless you end in these checkmate situations where you just get rather accidantly sucker punched by a sub. These situations on their own are already a problem. But the moment someone thinking plays a sub, the gameplay changes completly. You dont see any pings for 10 minutes, just a random wall of torpedos and a dev strike note in chat. And there is no way you can handle this. You can just hope that he takes to long to catch you or he messes up something, but forcing a mistake and punishing it? No.

    This playerbase. Farming BBs is a working strategy. Source: Me. A CV player that farms BB with a solo WR above 60%. What is your source to claim that farming doesnt work? Your own experience? Or the copied thoughts of someone else that doesnt play Carriers? Farming works, for reasons the playerbase doesnt want to admit.

    Malta or Black or Brisbane for coal?

    You dont know what you got, the value it brings and how to use it properly. Mostlikely because you are not playing Carriers. As an example, Maltas AP bombers. Regular bombers deal like an average of 8-10k damage on TierX targets. Fires from HE, Citadels from AP are not as consistent as people try to make them. Maltas AP bombs always perform pretty well. Like a random GK takes 12-15k damage, every time and you are able to hit him at least twice per squad, thats around 25k guaranteed damage. For something you dont need any knowledge of a drop pattern to score a citadel, in such a spread that it is almost undodgeable or just to miss randomly, without the need to pray for a fire. This is a rock solid value you can work with, against every BB(!). On top you get the funny interaction with the light cruisers that tend to play tower defense. Certain Tier VIII BBs tend to take 20k even saturated (like Vladi) and if you hit turrets to often against an unsaturaed tier X you might just get 10k. The point, the Malta bombs perform very well. But there are still mechanics you need to learn. Like how slowing down increases the pen of the AP bombs, but no matter what you do, you can never ever pen a Haku from the top, because high tier IJN carriers got an armoured deck. (random info: a perk of british CVs, these are fortified from mid tier already. So you dont snipe Hakus with bombs, and you dont go for a CV duel with a british CV ever.) If you want to hit anything against a Haku with Malta bombs, you have to strike from the side at full speed, this causes the bombs to slam through the side armour, into the citadel. In general, you want to slow down Malta bombs vs US CVs and german BBs. (there are a few parts of certain ships you might get a pen more or less, but you only need to know these 2 kind of ships) While you mentioned the rockets felt less nerfed, i personally found these to be among the worst on this tier. They dont deal any damage, nor got any speed and you still only hit the clueless DDs. The torpedo bombers, like the AP bombs, just overperform as well. One of us, one of us. Thats the CV experience. In case you are to disapointed from the Malta i would suggest to learn a few things about how to play it and offer the help of CV thread in this forum. I am sure we can offer help, from reviews to tell you where you went wrong or in your special case some minor coaching. You would get at least something out of it.

  11. I think it means, they also run MMM. To the topic, i proudly present, the secondary Kraken, sponsored by BadAimMe and the most balanced armour in game. Two cruisers catched me semi broadside, both got scamed by my armour, i semi failed both times my shot but the secs finished them off. Stole 2 kills and finally potatoed an HE salvo on a trapped DD, secondaries took the kill. I should have been back in port right from the start with 0 kills.
  12. Greastest achievement of the day, i havent insulted anyone. Whaled 225k FXP and did not only got the ship i was hoping for (Lazo) but also the Duke (got the Anshan already) and 12500 Coal
  13. Finished the BP and decided to spent 2500 dubs for the 5 mega containers for a 3rd, another round of gambling. Like the 6 containers from twitch, the 9 from tierX and the free ones i got from god knows i got another set of useless camos and credits.I am so glad i have not spent any real money for this.

    We got 2 different opinions about what a valid advice is. What the playerbase wants, is an effective way to win against a carrier, like pressing a button and deleting all the planes. Turns out, this is not possible and i dont see any reason to talk about this for the fifth time in just this week. We all know by now, unless you are bit special, that carriers are broken per design and also fairly overpowered, at the same time. So can we please not repeat the same discusion again, that you want a button to delete planes, but this button doesnt exist, and instead come to the conclusion that there are still ways to not get killed in 2 squads. Possible advices wont make you win against every carrier, but prevent getting killed easily by everyone. In fact, the vast majority is simply using fighters wrong, because they are clueless idiots. If fighters would automaticly launch when the DCP cooldown is at 45s, it would do way more than the playerbase does with it atm. They also dont know how DFAA changes the approach of a CV or why certain super unicums take DFAA on ships like Moskva and Nevsky. How to use sector reinforcement, and here it comes(!) when to not use sector reinforcement because you make the planes take less damage. (How is this possible?!?!?!) On top we got these genius that DCP a single fire and dont know when and why it is wrong, someone with 51% WR is able to tell you why. But what about the updated version, what kind of thought process decides which button you press when you take 2! fires from a CV and why (spoiler: You should press heal way more often than you think instead of DCP because your DCP and the cooldown is your insurance to not get send to port imediatly). I started playing a few months ago again and by now i griefed or deleted a few known WoWs players, streamers and so on, people with up to 30k+ matches, self proclaimed all known unicums and ofcourse vocal CV haters (which is understandable, so i am not judging). Even these dont know how to play against a carrier and it is their (also your) ignorance to not use the knowledge of CV players that causes this. Once i wrote a guide on reddit, what not to do and why. Explained evey basic thing, nobody was able to tell me when i struggeled against Carriers, which was the reason to begin carriers for me. As a reward, i was downvoted, insulted in the thread, in private messages, even stalked on discords and the ingame chat from the super salty playerbase. Thats a quite questionable behaviour, to complain about a problem at one side, but also derailing any argument from people that know the other, that only this playerbase can do. I have never seen such a thing in other games. /rant

    I started playing carriers to understand how to play against these or at least survive a bit longer. Unfortunately i got corrupted and joined them, mea culpa. But the important part, you do 100% things wrong you are not even aware of. These are things only a CV player knows. When a CV player with a 70+% WR offers you to recap a match just to tell you what you did wrong, you are about to learn something.

    Why do i feel that this video was not the smartest idea? When people complain about carriers, even in a more direct way, it feels justified for me, because of the current state of carriers. But Trenlass, usually doesnt complain, he acts like a crybaby when it comes to carriers, it is quite easy to trigger him and cause a reaction, especially on stream. A video like this, looks like an invite for a little toxic answer. Lets hope the CVscum doesnt return the favour.

    Currently strongest cv at each tier?

    The only people that dont rank the US line pretty high are players from ASIA, because they play on a different server with a different meta. To each his own. The reason, the games last longer on ASIA, nobody pushes which causes ships with high DPM or general high damage numbers to look like they would outperform our flexibel, but noticeable higher influence ships. But that is not true for us. So when someone ask in the EU forum, which means he also playes on the EU server, what kind of ships are the strongest, he should rather listen to the 2(!) Super Unicums with 70+% Winratio and an experience of each with 5k+ match on carriers that already answered instead. Midway, Haku and Malta are the current peak in TierX in EU. Please change my mind.
  20. Got a top 10 Damage Score in the Shokaku. The special thing, stupid detonations are the reason for it, 23/27 torpedo hits for 220k+ damage.

    Do you know why we got preparation time? i will explain it. Lets take Lexingtons Torpedo Bombers, instead of starting with 32 of them and getting 3+ squads right from the start, which would allow you to strike in a full squad 4 times in a row, almost 100% sending more than one back to port. This same concept was exceptional toxic with attack squads and the DD interaction. Lexington should have had 35 rocketplanes, but instead started with 16 and replesnishes 19 over 20 minutes, to not delete each and every DD right from the start. The alternative was to start with 30+ planes of each type. Now the arguable real problem was never the replicating planes, it was the total amount, but please make more noise so weegee increase the time to replenish planes by a global 2s to please the playerbase instead of understanding the problem, CVs might deal to much damage. Thats the exact same story. You wont get carriers without anything, you would get a DCP and heal, this would make better players live longer and weaker players gettign killed faster. The current auto DCP system is a nerf to everyone that understand why you should not DCP one fire and what button you have to press the moment you get set on fire a second time in a match. A) DCP or B) Heal. Be lucky that i dont got an "i" and "o" for DCP/heal on my carrier. I would be able to manage HE spam better and also heal back some pen damage and even fires.

    What? When you play a super CV you will get matched with a super CV. This means Sekiryu, US or Eagle. I dont think sniping either of these is easy. At the moment the US looks better than the Eagle, because circling through TAC squads works better. But the Sekiryu looks way stronger than these. When you play a CV you look for damage or influence and not every squad is equally good at this. IJN torp bombers are quite strong, provide high DPM. When you Hakuryu you plan to use torp bombers as often as possible but you tend have to use rockets and bombs in between. The Sekiryu is a Haku but gets just 2 TAC squads, this allows to play torpedo bombers into TAC into torpedos again. It looks very strong on paper, might just not be as easy as the US.
