I played almost everyday between 2019 and october 2020 (and I spent a lot of money for ships and captains, Azur Lane and HSF Collections etc.) but in the last year (oct 2020-oct 2021) I played only occasionally and since the capt. skills rework I barely played at all, I practically stopped playing... the game for me is a mess now, I have done the general free reset of all my captains but I don't know how to do the builds so I leaved them "blank". Moreover there are ships I loved a lot for example "secondary build" battleships like Georgia or Massachusetts that now are garbage. I love the Navy collection, the graphics the atmosphere of the game, the memories of many fun matches, but now I feel I don't like the game as it is now so i stopped, maybe if they change for a better rework I'll return in the future, but now I dislike the current version of the game.

Admiral Hipper is another that scolds you for the entire duration of the battle... XD what a tsundere! but in general is true what @Wubziz said. Anyway I find really funny (and not annoying) when weeb characters freaks out or make strange squealing voices, but I'm a fan of that world. I think I could be able to play even with Pekora of Hololive doing her antics during battle. XD

Today I have done the mega-purchase "All In One" Captains & Camo pack + AL Montpelier + Alaska, now unless WG decide to give us AL Columbia and AL Georgia (or another pack of AL characters) or make Missouri available again for Christmas I think I've done with the shopping for this year.

I have already completed various collections and was always this way as you said (Dunkirk is the only exception I think, you have to buy the containers for 1000 coal each in the armory, is mandatory, in fact you don't have the "green" and "red" option ) I have asked you because in these 2 days that I have completed the Nelson mission I haven't received AL items by the normal containers and I was worried lol... XD but it is active so it was only an unfortunate case, thanks for the confirmation. ^_^

Once you activate the Azur Lane Collection with the first AL container you get the collection items also with the normal daily containers right?

They could be fair to put the personalized flags also in the single ship packs, one spend 200+ euro for all captains & camos pack (163.99) + one ship (42.1) and you don't have all the gadgets of that ship, no if you want the flag you must spend 327.98 euro for the 2 mega packs, in other words for other 3 ships you don't care about only for a flag? d'you want our blood?

There is also the "problem" of the "background image" on soviet ships and captains (red banner with hammer and sickle) - even tsarist era ships like Bogatyr have it - and you can't fully have a tsarist navy (or a RFN), I know it would be pseudo-historical to have post 1917 russian ships with tsarist banners but I surely appreciate it. lol XD ;P

Yeah right! I forgot to write it, the Kaijō Jieitai /JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self Defence Force) use the same flag of the old IJN. On the other matter I read that there is a compensation: 8.250 dooblons for AL Montpelier, 8.250 for Yukikaze, 9.375 for AL Littorio and 14.250 for AL Sovetskaya Rossiya.

@Wubziz ah moreover it would be nice to have the Rising Sun banners of the Japanese Empire on Japanese ships too, I know that this thing could piss off koreans and chinese people but other could appreciate, why not make it costumizable? in Tibet or in Hong Kong (or wherever) many people could find chinese communist flag disturbing, why this historical double standard? I agree with your point.

Personally I like the choice of the Iron Cross in the Kiegsmarine banner, it give an old prussian german empire flavour that I appreciate more without "nazi implications", a sort of alternative timeline where the Third Reich was founded by the Konservative Revolution leaders such as Ernst Junger and other prussian lealists/monarchists, but in general It would be fun if it could be possible a sort of "customization", for example if I could choose to have tsarist double-headed eagle banners on russian ships finally I could have a russian ship in my port... lol XD ;P

Yes, I hoped we could choose the captains we really want separately... but it seems that only megapacks are available, only the ships can be purchased in a single pack.

@Bunny_Lover_Kallen do you know if the captain bundle gives you extra free space in the captain reserve? or I must buy new slots in the reserve before purchase the captains?

The packs are available until 21 August (almost a month).

I hoped for single commander + camo or ship packs to choose only what I really want now I must spend 164 euros for the mega pack of all captains and camo + 42 euros for AL Montepelier ship... :( It's too much but I think i'll do the sacrifice... I'm a hopeless weeb I know...

lol XD I'm jelous! XD I started playing in november, I have Haifuri captains and ships, the four Kongou sisters of Arpeggio, Arp Myoko and Arp Iona, but I don't have any Azur Lane captain...

Più che altro 72 euro per una corazzata che va a 20 nodi, ha un reload delle batterie principali di 34 secondi, le torrette ci mettono 1 minuto per fare un giro di 180 gradi, inoltre le principali sono 12 cannoni da 356, quindi anche un calibro che non fai molto danno specie contro Tier VIII e IX, ha delle secondarie a corto raggio e con un reload standard, come la guardi la guardi non c'è niente che ti spinga a investirci se non per il solo fatto che è una corazzata storica, un pò poco. Not my cup of tea.

Honestly 72 euros for an unimpressive battleship? she's slow and low in all aspects: very slow speed, slow guns reload, slow turning turrets, short range secondaries, low caliber guns. Maybe she has a relative good AA for her tier but honestly it is not much worth spending 72 euros for buying it...

I have (for now) only three USN ships (Atlanta, Cleveland and Georgia but I plan to get also Alaska and Baltimore) but I have only one captain: Theodore E. Chandler. I need Azur Lane Eagle Union captains! XD

I purchased today both Fubuki and Marine, I play them with Atago and/or Arp Myoko but I'am in the same situation as you, now I have more weeb captains than IJN ships! lol XD

I was wondering (the same thing of the OP) what type of (beautiful) fighter is aboard the USS Georgia (same as the one on Des Moines of the OP) and I found infos on wiki and then this old topic, thank you all for the confirmation of my suspects, it's a sort of fictional seaplane version of a Curtiss P-40 Warhawk - basically a Warhawk with the float bottom of a Curtiss SC Seahawk - Seahawk that in fact is the scoutplane you can choose instead of the fighter.

If WG would make Azur Lane captains available again I would like to purchase them too, old and possibly newones, I started to play Wows in november so I missed them... I would like to have AL Cleveland and AL Columbia (my avatar but Columbia is not yet present) and others. I saw that Azur Lane even created a Georgia character based on the WOWS ship, it would be great to have her as a captain in my Georgia:

Scusate lo sfogo ma oggi non so perchè ho incontrato una folla di [rimosso dalla moderazione] avevo 6 punti karma a inizio sessione di gioco, ho giocato 2 orette, adesso ne ho solo 2. Cioè faccio fuori 5 navi e sono primo come danno nella squadra e trovi l'isterico che ti da -1 perchè gli hai rubato la kill (secondo lui presumo) del tipo che con le secondarie della Georgia faccio fuori io le Destroyer o tocca affondarle io con i cannoni principali perchè loro non son buoni a mirare, ma non va bene, ok dovevo farmi silurare per non rubare la kill. Faccio partite impeccabili e sono sempre gentile con tutti uno mi da +1 e nella stessa partita mi becco -1 per imprecisati motivi. Mi lasciano solo e vanno per gli affari loro a bordo mappa, io allora tento un accerchiamento da dietro visto che sono solo, la tattica non è piaciuta anche se è stata efficace, risultato -1 karma Faccio 3 partite di fila con 3-4 kill e tra i primi per danno e mi becco un altro -1 senza che io sappia che [rimosso dalla moderazione] ho fatto. Che sia antipatia verso la corazzata che sto usando ultimamente? (la Georgia) E dire che sto sempre attento nelle partite, non taglio la strada, mi muovo bene lascio sempre i corridoi liberi alle cruiser e destroyer per il tiro dei siluri, supporto gli alleati non cerco la kill spasmodica, mi muovo tatticamente bene, ma niente oggi ho perso un sacco di karma così senza motivo e dire che quando dei noob alleati mi silurano tirando alla spera in dio sono pure clemente e non li segnalo... sta comunità mi fa inacidire. Lo so sono sciocchezze ma certe cose mi guastano l'umore, uno gioca per divertirsi e rilassarsi e dall'altra parte spesso non c'è cameratismo ma degli esauriti e inaciditi, viene voglia di mandare a dormire tutti, scusate ancora lo sfogo.

I loved Atlanta but now is complete trash (I'm heartbroken to must say this to her...) with the IFHE/armor rework basically you can shoot for hours but it is really hard to do significant damage to high tier BB's or Cruisers, sometimes you do some kill with fire, but basically you do "assists" to other teammates - if you play decently - you see the others constantly deliver the final blow to a ship you were shooting from forever... if before the rework it was common to finish with 3-4 kills now you are fortunate to do 1 kill or some useful action for the team before constantly dying... Today in ranked I was downvoted by one teammate because in his opinion I didn't helped the team ... I was escorting a destroyer behind islands to ambush a battleship... what else could I do? I don't have smoke, I have useless short torpedoes, I can't go open waters, I have glass armor and now my main battery and AA are nearly irrelevant. It became a completely useless ship... it's completely inadequate in random and ranked matches, even in co-op it struggles... Once was a fun ship to play, even if it was a difficult ship to handle well, now is a useless nightmare. Historically an Atlanta-class ship (San Diego) was the second most decorated ship in WW2, in game is a useless meme ship... Atlanta needs a complete rework (for example smoke, more hp, better or more trollish armor, more concealment, more battery range, historically faithfull outstanding AA) but probably will never happen... The same problem, to a certain degree, is evident even for Cleveland and Baltimore (probably the 2 best cruiser-classes of WW2), all the Cruiser US line was nerfed.
