It'll be interesting to see if that'll hold true with the WoWS player base that tend to be a bit older, and maybe a bit more financially wiser. Granted, there's going to be those with "disposable income" that don't mind disposing it. But I suspect many players are not going to part with $£€ purely for something that's shiny. Only currency I'd consider parting with to buy a perma camo under this new scheme would be credits.

I naively assumed any perma-camos (either purchased or mission rewards) after the rework would come with an appropriate set of permanent XP boosters. There really is no worth to any camos anymore. Kinda feel sorry for the WoWS Art Dept - no one is going to bother to buy the fruits of their labour after this ... rework. Why bother spending doubloons, mission/community tokens or bothering with a mission grind to get a reward that has zero benefit.

IIRC from Flamu's SC drop rate YT vid you might get a ship once every three years or so from the 166 pity rule. Assuming you pick TYL for your daily crates to increase the rate of SC's.

What makes you think they won't?

Kinda curious as to how many SCs I have already had ... none of which contained a ship IIRC

I dunno CVs get all kinds of unnecessary assistance: invulnerability phases for planes, can't be detonated (anyone know if a sub can be det'd?) and get auto damage control which makes them harder to inflict flooding/fire damage - unlike a sub which can be flooded/burnt to death.

They'll probably achieve that, or at least reduce the rate at which we earn it. But not in the way they intend. I've no intention to renew my premium account before the verdict is in on the rework.

Kinda surprised in a match with CV that the enemy DDs were able to pull off the hide & torp tactic. I suppose it could down to how well his CV team mate tried to spot them and how well their CV spotted his DD team mates.

Pretty much. I've kinda come to the conclusion that a lot of players would have you do 90% of the damage and then let them "steal" your kills.

From what I remember about the problem @Jethro_Grey refers to, some time ago WG introduced a change where the game checked the status (in battle, offline etc) of each of your contacts. As this was, apparently, done on the main thread (instead of a background one) it delayed the responsiveness of the game client while requests and responses were pinged back and forth to find a contact's status. Could be worth contacting support and enquiring about that issue and maybe get them to clear your contacts - as a last resort.

IIRC same problem also happened with a contact list of people you liked. Do you have a lot of contacts?

Can WG do one for CVs & subs?

While I had the last couple of weeks premium time remaining I did a bit of sprint with the French CAs (Charles Martel) and Royal Navy DDs. So it kinda made sense to use up economic camos & signals while I had the 65% XP boost from premium. Jervis was a blast, I'm at Lightning now for which I have a perma camo (from a freebie Distant Voyages crate IIRC) so I get some bonus from that, even though my premium time has expired. Not inclined to even consider renewing it until the verdict is in for the economy rework, especially for PvE players like myself.

Indeed. Only valid reason I could see for refitting with different guns would be if the ship had been bought from another nation or captured. That would make it easier to resupply the ship with your own ammo rather than procuring it from another nation, one that may not be inclined to do so if you had captured it.
