It would be interesting to hear an explanation from WG as to why they are not in high level competitive matches... ... without, of course, giving WG an incentive to do so.

Don't forget the massively overpowered terror of T6 that is Leander. Why else do WG seem to nerf it every other patch?

ModStation is no longer compatible with Steam versions of WoWS. Resolved : Steam support has been restored.

I never figured Isoruku Yamamoto as being the parasol & fluffy cat ears kind of guy.

I fear WG are wanting to migrate Steam users to WGC, and just use Steam for authentication. In my opinion this is the wrong way around. It would make FAR more sense to migrate WGC users (WoT & WoWS) to Steam, and let Steam's (substantial) infrastructure handle the distribution of installs & updates. Once everyone is migrated to Steam, WGC could be retired and the staff that maintain WGC could then do something useful (after familiarizing with the code base) like fix artillery bugs or the numerous problems with the embedded browser and the damned lock-on bug.

WGC is completely pointless for Steam users. It offers nothing, and just gets in the way. I will not be bothering with WGC.

But why on Earth would anyone want to??? All the complaints about problems downloading & installing updates are aimed at WGC. Whereas Steam just works, fine as it is.

From what I've read from other posts, ModStation now only works with WGC versions of WoWS.

Could we have an explanation for this? There's never been a problem with Mods and the Steam version of WoWS. Kinda curious why there's an issue now.

ModStation's network code does seem a bit unreliable. I constantly get transfer problems when using my broadband. One work-around seems to be using a Wi-Fi hotspot. A VPN might be another solution. However, I did try today (via a hot-spot) and I got a message that mod updates will be available tomorrow. So not a lot of point using ModStation today.

I probably would have tried if WG hadn't made such a fuster cluck of their implementation. Like @HARBINGER_OF_SKULLS I'm glad to see the back of them from my port.
