    Op of the day or even hour would be useful. It would help out those PvE players that use ops to grind tech tree ships. It would also be nice if the match-maker could, at least try to, form teams of same tier ships so that T6 is more viable. As, again, that would help out newer players that are grinding through mid tiers.

  3. I've been doing the final stage of the British battle cruiser line before my premium time runs out in a few days. So the tokens for the new Japanese light cruisers have been a nice side effect. Currently upto T6 Gokase.

    Latest addition to the fleet T10 #37, the British battle cruiser St. Vincent. Though, thanks to @Sir_Sinksalot's "St. Vinnie" nickname, I'm going to be doing East-End gangster impressions when I get a nice juicy broadside to shoot at. "You wan some 'a this..."

  6. The problem is the "getting stuck" bit. Running into an island is a legit move to avoid torps. But dislodging yourself, even for a human player, can be problematic sometimes.

    Harbin is probably a good pick. I used to do OK with Chumphon in Narai before the rework. I've not been brave enough to choose a DD for ops yet though. ... although Akizuki would be one of my choices too. Fave T6's used to be Nurnburg & Leander. They're hardly used in ops now as its going to be waaay too hard to carry potato teams in a T6.

    With Raptor you usually have some chance of carrying in a CL if you stick near the CV. Narai used to be a good operation, it used to be a good investment of the higher value bonuses (formerly signals/camos) as your team had at least some indication of neurological activity. But it is now ruined by clueless BB players. Just had a Narai match where a Zieten chased after the CV and a P. Heinrich & Anhalt both chased after the enemy transports. Flint died beforehand going after the CV. So it was just me (in Cleveland on low health after taking a Missouri salvo because the BBs weren't there tanking) and Edinburgh & Aigle to defend our troop transports. Result was inevitable. I'm not sure which I'll use up first - economic bonuses or reports.

    Indeed. Having the MM form same tier teams should have been done from the start of the op rework. How many T6's do you seen in ops nowadays? And when you do how well do they perform / survive?

    Agreed, then T6 would be more viable. However, I suspect there's probably not a large enough pool of players of T6 ships for the MM to form a team.

    How much attention does GZ draw? One thing that concerns me is the CV getting shot at but not being able to deal with the attackers in time (because I'm cr@p in CVs)

    If Hermes, then I'd agree. Having that op once is enough. The others I don't mind getting again and again.

    Clevelands in Narai (including the one that's upscaled from a Dallas before the Missouri appears) do use their radar. So higher tier opponents is an added challenge. But that is all - a challenge that you can adapt to.

    Yup, I'm pretty sure they're rental ships for newer players. Kinda like a [MONTANA] or [SHIMAKAZE] rental that you can get for clan battles, but for new guys.

    I would incorporate DefAA into priority sector. Yes, it would be an AA buff Shorter cooldown Unlimited charges but it might go some way to restoring balance. It always seemed a bit daft having two consumables for AA.

    Either that or it maybe the Fletcher has a larger detection range and it pops smoke when detected. But, yeah that smoke is dropped a little too soon. Hard to say as I've not played it that many times since the rework. I do think the bots priorities have changed though. So hopefully once players adapt, as I did, it'll become more viable. I do not think it's a write-off though. Narai, like a lot of ops, can suffer from bad players, usually in BBs who fall into 3 camps Chase after enemy transports or CV instead of leaving it to a fast cruiser. Sit outside the atoll ineffectively lobbing shells over the islands (snipah Nagato being somewhat of a cliché) Slow BBs thinking they can flank, eg Colorados Either way it means they're not entering the atoll along with the troop transports (which you're supposed to be protecting) thus they or the rest of the team, in light cruisers, are now drawing all of the incoming fire. But I haven't noticed much of a change in difficulty in Narai, teams not withstanding of course. One thing I will give WG credit it for is Hermes is now viable in a cruiser. That is a BIG improvement.

    Only operation that needed adjusting was Hermes as that was typically a death sentence in a cruiser. Now cruisers seem to have a chance of contributing AND surviving. Maaaybe Aegis when you were in a BB as the bots tended to focus them at the start. All the other ops were fine. I've only played Ultimate Frontier once since this change, and my Atlanta got deleted by an N. Cal so hard to say if it is better or not. Edit: Just did UF with Cleveland, and I'd say it OK too. 4/5 stars
  22. I just tried Hermes since this change, and even those it was a close defeat, it looks far more feasible in a cruiser. Only time I took heavy fire was at the end when I took on the destroyers in my Atlanta. Prior to that I didn't get that much attention at all, despite putting out a steady stream of HE shells.

    You've noticed BBs chasing after the enemy transports too? Shame they couldn't, oh I dunno, tank all the incoming fire that's now being directed at our troop transports.

    I thought it might. You're right of course, as you could make use of WG premium with other game such as WoT.

    Ah, yes. If the OP is already running WoWS premium, then he probably wouldn't see the additional days added to his account. Just curious - does the WG premium only take effect once the WoWS premium runs out or do they run concurrently? It would be annoying if the latter.
