Although I don't have them, I suspect Flint & Salem would be good choices as their siblings, Atlanta & Des Moines, are some of my favourite ships in co-op. Those two are up there for the grind X BaseXP / Y credits / Z FreeXP missions we sometimes get.

I wouldn't be surprised if it not something stupid like an expired SSL certificate. -

[POLL] Will you buy the "Premium Battle Pass"?
NewHorizons_1 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I did cave in on the 2500D BP. But the remaining dubs only cost a couple of quid. So for that it was probably fair value. Should deffo have enough steel now for Bourgogne when the next coupon is available in a couple of weeks. Agreed. -

Yup, I used to make use of that. I was always tempted to take out my favourite premium for the first match of the day, but it made sense to use a tech tree ship. I guess we're free to choose now. Still miss the freebie XP though. -
Bing translator failed on it.

"Critical Engine Damage" - or playing the Tier 9 "Adriatico"

So it's intended to be another ship you skip with FreeXP I guess. I didn't mind Hawke and to a lesser extent Monarch in co-op. Now HMS Lion - that was garbage. Zeiten was OK there too - if you could stand to look at it. Seattle was OK from what I remember. Veneto I didn't get along with either and Saint Louis you had to play very cautiously with the exposed citadel under the front turrets that the bots would hit. -

HMS Cossack that I was lucky to get from a freebie Unsinkable Sam crate. Honourable mentions for Huron and the British BCs. -
My guess would be it's a relatively recent steel ship coupled with the popularity of others (Bourgogne, Stalingrad etc) and relative scarcity of the currency.

I'm not a content creator ( *collective sigh of relief from the internet* ) but you do have to be careful to avoid copyright strikes. However, a lot of it sounds like the detection is automated and pitch changes like in the vid are probably enough to confuse the bots. I watched a few "Top 10 Greatest guitar / synth riff / intro" vids a few months ago and the guys protected themselves from groups that are known to be strict about that by playing their tracks like Les Dawson playing the piano.

And there are far, far better cover versions of it. Heck, even Floppotron's version is more enjoyable.

That Seattle is suited to co-op and that you can grind tech trees in co-op. Actually, more DDs would have been preferable for a light cruiser like Seattle. And the one in that match wasn't near me. But I was fortunate that there were broadside cruisers. Much harder to achieve though - fast firing cruisers do have an advantage, over slow firing BBs, in short co-op matches. Their DPM usually results in more reliable results. I used to spend some coal on the old economic signals & camos, but I've not done so with the new bonuses. I tend to save them up for high tiers. The credits I do earn tend to be only spent on ships & modules - I rarely buy signals for example. For similar reasons I only play super-ships when there's a mission reward, otherwise you're just throwing credits away in co-op. Granted, no doubt the base credit average would be much lower. That's why I save economic bonuses when grinding high tiers to offset the expense of high tier economy. And tended to only do high tier grinds when I had premium time. When the premium time ran out I would switch focus to a new tech tree and low / mid tiers again. I might have played a high tier tech tree ship, without premium time, in the first match of the day to get the old 500 Ship XP bonus and the 50% first win bonus. But limit it to that to that one match to avoid losing credits if the next ones were mediocre. At the time I ground through Seattle, last year, I also might have had an advantage on the economy which is now a little different. My premium time is about to run out, so I'll see what grinding Tashkent (I've not many decent tech trees left) is like in a few days... One thing I would advise when starting out is not to grind one tech tree line alone. Do 3 or 4 lines as Variety is the spice of life - trying different ships will broaden a player's experience Playing lots of mid tier games earns you more credits that you can save for later high tier grinds As others have suggested, grind some credits (and commander / free XP) with premium ships - if available. It's only recently I have started to run low on credits. But that is because I can now short cut research with FreeXP, so I'm unlocking tech tree ships at a faster rate.

Is that actually next week or Next Week TM ... ? -
I've had a few SCs on them already - some from missions you could do in co-op. As I haven't done a reset yet RB points might be useful, depending on how many RB points we get of course.

First time out in Seattle this year, IIRC. Kinda forgot how good she is in co-op - actually a new PB, previous was 115k damage. Note that I didn't just spam HE, hence the citadel hits. Also did around 20k AP damage to the broadside Georgia's upper belt. IIRC AP damage is worth more as it is harder to heal. No signals nor economic bonuses mounted and only a 6 point commander at the helm. So this does give an indication of what you can earn if you get a good match where the bots don't gang up on you. Even with a standard account I would have earned 53k credits.
-
+1 for Gronny - it's quite the reliable credit earner. +1 for Marblehead too as you keep most of what you earn at T5. I suspect Salem & Flint would be good earners as Des Moines & Atlanta both do well in co-op.
-
As @Klopirat points out, co-op is limited in the amount of XP & credit earnings at high tiers. But it can be made to work Co-op has 25% saving on service costs Premium account helps. Save up economic bonuses, and use them when you get the hang of a high tier ship** Complete the Five Epochs campaign & collection - they each reward you with a T9 perma camo including bonus In the case of Seattle - it's great at duffing up destroyers so prioritize them first. And, as you get rewarded for percentage damage done to a target, that gives light cruisers quite an advantage in co-op where the bot DDs rarely use their ship's capabilities. And if one does hide in its smoke screen, you've got radar to reveal it. From what I remember with Seattle, the slow turning turrets could be a bit of a hindrance so I tended to hang back a bit. Maybe using the cover of a friendly DDs smoke screen. ** I tend to grind high tiers only when I have premium time so that I maximize the value of expendable economic bonuses

What is odd is that the current super ship missions are for PvP modes ... yet you still see players sailing them in co-op.

Ssssh!! I was avoiding giving WG ideas.

38th T10 addition to the fleet : Italian battleship Cristoforo Columbo -
I only bought them for snowflake SCs.

It is very cheesy, but what other explanation is there? Players would probably want commander XP & FreeXP bonuses as, you correctly point out, a Ship XP bonus on a ship at the end of tech tree branch is pointless.
-
So that you can speed up the rate of spending doubloons to convert ship XP to Free XP.
