The one irritating change in the last year or so with these kinds of missions are the DD captured/defended ones. When this mission became available, in the first 3 matches I got a standard battle and two arms race matches. None of which allow you to earn defended ribbons and (with standard) are unlikely to earn (just the one) captured ribbon. For these missions, could we add buff captures as well, @Seraphice ? That way we can at least progress during an arms race match where the cap zone rarely appears in co-op due to the short match duration. -

Always seemed odd that the potential damage missions weren't assigned to BBs - as they have the armour & health to deflect & absorb it. For me in co-op, and preferring cruisers, they tend to do anyway. Another alternative for the PvP crowd would be to tie missions to achievements or overall match performance (In one battle, score X baseXP or Score in the top X of your team Y times) and leave score X damage, tank Y potential etc for co-op. That way people can easily knock off missions in co-op by doing mundane tasks, but the priories for players in randoms aren't affected that much. -
True. But shredding 2 or 3 DDs is worth a shed load of XP & credits.

I had four bots get stuck on the 3rd island down (2nd lowest ringed) a few weeks ago.

I don't mind the 4 DDs in a co-op match. It's the 2 subs (especially friendly bot **) ones that annoy me. Especially if there's a "Score X damage" missions or Naval Battle bar that requires X damage. I wouldn't mind that. You could even make it 9 vs 12 at higher tiers. ** Also annoying are friendly bot CVs, especially when you're in a DD and even more so if it's one those busted T11s

And what ship class, at those tiers, has longer range ASW than a BB? Cruisers certainly do not. I didn't say it was adequate, I just pointed out that it's the least crap. OK at T5 BB and CA (if available) airstrikes are equally rubbish. 8km for many T6 BBs. -

Most battleships have the longest range on their ASW. And get the most slack when homing torps stop tracking as they get near. Cruiser ASW on the other hand is a joke. Heck, even large CAs like Hindenburg and Venezia have no airstrike and their only ASW are ship dropped depth charges. As for DDs, lets not even go there. There is one advantage to homing torp pings. It's a way for bad sub players to give their approximate position away. It is annoying, and the use of damage control to mitigate it is laughably bad design. I'm not entirely sure about that. As indicated above, they'd be harder to (roughly) locate. I suspect they'd be a bigger pain in the @$$ with just regular torps. -

I lost one or two matches after WG tweaked the AI last year as the bots made a concerted effort to capture your team's base in standard battles. Before, the bots were more interested in charging you and your team mates. Actually, I was quite impressed when two bot Rahmats beelined for the cap on the Estuary map, smoked up and stopped. No one could see them to reset the capture progress and it took too long for my Scharny to turn around and get back off a flank. Now I always keep one eye the base ... -

Unfortunately, there still are some who insist on contaminating co-op with subs. And, even when there aren't, the co-op MM will often throw a bot sub (or two) on your team. -

I'd be surprised if it's specific to operations. Back on topic, and assuming the wiki isn't out of date in this area, it does actually look like CV players are (were ?) supposed to manage priority sector themselves. From https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Anti-Aircraft_Fire Only thing I can say is what happens if you use the standard compass? Normally you see the priority sector highlighted in green (with an orange ring on cooldown). Maybe the mod you're using is messing up that functionality.
