    Have you abandoned grinding any lines in Coop?

    I actually preferred New Mex over Colorado. The former seemed far better at bow-tanking while the latter seemed to get penned no matter the angle. Probably more to do with facing larger calibre BB shells compared to what New Mex had to handle. Gave me the misconception at the time that Colorado seemed squishy in comparison. I found N. Carolina a breath of fresh air after stagnating at slow speed with Colorado. Once you got the hang of NC's very slow shells you can really do some heavy damage. She's also a damn fine looking ship too. I'd deffo resist the temptation, you shouldn't need that many battles in NC to do 10k XP. I'm saving my FXP for the same reason, just passed the half-way mark so I've got the added temptation of Azuma too.

    Zao & Goliath were OK to grind in co-op. Once you reach N. Carolina the grind to Monty becomes fine too .... it's getting to T8 which is really tedious. Just finished Preussen and that was alright. Helps now that FdG's secondaries are now actually a thing, unlike when I was unlocking GK after the commander skill rework. Yup, even though my Kansas has a perma camo on it that is port-queen for me too. Almost as slow as Colorado, but with worse reload.

    Dido might be good for Scenarios as well. Just took Dido out in Killer Whale and did OK in it. Got sunk a few minutes before the end, but still did 113k damage. A better reload would be nice though.

    Another T10 battleship for the fleet. This time Großer Kurfürst's big gun sister - Preussen. As I had previously bought the perma-camo for Großer Kurfürst I got the one for Preussen automatically.

    Napoli Armor

    Napoli is quite different to its tech tree siblings - quite a lot tougher but the guns aren't as accurate. HE instead of SAP and, of course, those secondaries. Secondary spec Napoli in co-op can be hilarious - they've done as much damage as I have with the main guns. In PvP you might be better off with a more regular build, to improve main gun accuracy, as you tend to fight at longer ranges. Edit: Secondaries FTW!!

    Napoli Armor

    Casemate & citadel layout of Napoli is quite tough. Casemate outer belt : 220mm Interior angled deck/casemate : 30mm Citadel deck slope 30mm or citadel vertical 55mm. So you have to pen upto 305mm of armour which is pretty chonky for a cruiser. Edit: As @The_Pillager & @CaravellaCaravan state, it has quite an effective turtle-back layout too. .

    For the last couple of patches Royal Navy cruisers and destroyers ripple fire their torps differently. They used to fire the torps in quick succession, single file. If those hit it was often game over. Now they fire one at a time with a few seconds in between, almost like they're checking to see if their target is still afloat. Fire torp, did that hit? No, fire another. Did that hit? No fire another and so on. It does mean you sometimes still have to be careful though. I thought a Neptune had fired its torps at a team mate, but it still had a couple in reserve for me.

    Estuary map seems to be a fave with the bots trying to take capture zones. Just had another match (this time Domination mode) where I gratuitously farmed defended ribbons on the DDs and CLs. Though getting chunky with the Nagato was nice too. Fortunately secondary spec Lutjens in command.

    Actually, having criticized the bots I have noticed a few Standard battle matches now where they do go for your team's base now. A couple of the new Pan-Asian cruisers (Rahmats IIRC) managed to sneak through the middle and smoke up in our base. Surprisingly they stopped inside their smoke screen and captured our base. So well done bots, I guess.

    Yup, if you spot loads of bots on your team, make sure you have your carry-pants on as there's a good chance they'll do their best to throw the match. If you do win in those matches though it can be quite profitable. A 180k win on your Tallinn would have been nice, especially if you had eco signals/camo fitted.

    Perhaps I ought to try Randoms But, yeah the bot AI doesn't seem much different to me. I don't think we have to worry about it becoming the next Skynet.

    Patch Compression

    Is this a WGC issue? As I've not noticed anything particularly bad with the time it takes to install WoWS via Steam. FYI: SSD based laptop here so time spent blocking on I/O is less of an issue for me.

    Isn't that when the sector turns orange? Agreed. Depth charges should have been another weapon type like torpedoes. Switch to DCs, aim with reticule then LMB to fire.

    Sometimes the bots actually leave light cruisers alone?!! Had to laugh at taking out the Annapolis ... by burning it down with a couple of fires.

    The karma system

    Same here, except I rarely play CVs. I rarely use reports, it's not unusual for me to use up all 11 compliments. I do wonder, when people complain about losing karma, about how much they compliment other players. Either in chat and/or with karma. After all it is karma - what goes around, comes around.

    Yup, WG do make money out of the PvE crowd, but I suspect it's a fraction of what they make out of PvP which has more players and a population that are more likely to pay for a competitive or economic edge. Agreed, it would be nice to have the same fraction invested back in PvE.

    I got the impression @Xavi_Bombardier was talking about much money co-op makes for WG, ie the disposable income co-op players have that they may be more willing to use to buy premium ships etc. Not so much about the earnings of in-game currency. Hence why WG don't seem willing to invest much in PvE, either co-op or Scenarios. True, but you do need lots of patience. Mainly true, unless the bots run away to the other side of the map. But yes, credit/XP earnings in co-op aren't as good, but are at least consistent.

    Precisely - one of the main reasons I considered subs to be such poor design. As no ship initially had any effective ASW (many had none at all) the only defence against them was to use a poor team mate as a meat shield. This goes completely against they way I attempt to play - ie by backing up the guys I spawn next to.
