My concern here is this So, to be fair is the dispersion** of torpedo spreads going to be reduced as well to compensate for the global gun accuracy buff. ** dispersion isn't probably quite the correct term, but there are uneven angles between the trajectories of torpedoes in a salvo. -

Pretty much max on an RTX 2060 laptop (6GB) with an i7-10750H CPU + 16GB RAM. I can run at higher frame rate, by editing preferences.xml, but things tend to get a bit hot. -
Fast (34 knots) for a T5 ship with good fire power and hydro. Unusually for a US cruiser it has torps : they're not great (slow and low damage) but do reload quickly. Armour is there for decorative purposes, just enough to arm the fuse of an AP shell which then detonates in the very vulnerable citadel. AA serves a similar purpose as the armour - decorative - catapult fighter plane often more effective at shooting down aircraft. Try to avoid getting the attention of any battleship as they'll sink you just by growling in your general direction. It's fun in co-op where you can duff up bot destroyers. It would be interesting to find out what the PvP/Random match veterans think of her.

For new players I'd say wait a bit before taking the plunge. Try out the different ship classes and nations and find out which ones you prefer so that you can make a more informed decision. Good suggestion. The Five Epochs campaign has several missions for low & mid tier ships. So a good incentive, for new recruits, to try out the various different types of ships. The game may also reward a new player with a one-off free premium ship, if it has not done so already. In my case I got Marblehead. Sometimes, it will also give new players temporary rentals of premium ships, I had Graf Spee (now withdrawn) and Scharnhorst. As other forum members have pointed out, I'd advise looking at mid tier ships, to avoid getting out of your depth against experienced players at higher tiers. The tier 5 ships are high enough to qualify for mission rewards, and tier 6* can do the weekly Scenarios (Ops as @Verblondereferred to them). Credit earnings on mid tier premium ships, even in co-op, are sufficient too. In fact Scenarios can be a good earner of XP & credits if you want to chill out from Random matches. * If you're feeling ambitious tier 7 may also be viable, especially when the T7 Narai scenario is on the schedule.

Indeed. And also lets remember that it isn't the fault of the guy that actually coded this, but a deliberate decision by someone higher up the food chain. The coder will have been assigned this project, assessed on whether the implementation met the design requirements in the time allocated to do it. As a retired programmer, I remember several "ideas" that I was glad I did not have to implement. Either because they got canned (because it was a bad idea and unusually common sense prevailed) or, more likely, some other poor sod got lumbered with it. Kinda surprised this actually got as far as the PTS server as internal QA should have flagged this up as garbage within minutes. Having said that, the sceptic in me probably sees this as a WG false flag : you guys think subs are broken now? THIS is how broken they could be. Then, if this proposal is withdrawn, WG can claim to be "listening to feedback". -

Anyone else notice that one of Flamu's depth charge hits, in the 2nd match, was a result of the sub player TELLING him where he was and nothing to do with the ping indication. -

Gave up on Raptor Rescue a couple of days ago as it's become a waste of signals. It's a shame as the mission is a good one, but the teams are often terrible. -

Another forumite observed that it can occur when team mates all pile into the heal zone and don't leave a clear path for Raptor to resume its course. AI basically goes "Where do I go now? " -
Booo. They've fully lowered the decks of Tower Bridge. Always thought it was funny to see the Routemaster jump 2m wide the gap.

Played a lot of Wiemar & Scharnhorst when Narai was last week's op to finish off levelling up my Gunther Lutjens. Then Atago & Yamato to finish off levelling up Isoroko Yamamoto. I tend to start off with a tech tree ship to get the 500 XP mission reward, currently the T8 Pan-Asian DD, Hsienyang. Then run down my favourites with the 50% first win of the day bonus, so DesMo, Mino, Plym, Napoli, Alaska, Georgia, Monty, Gearing, Harugamo, GK, Preussen, Maybe with some T7s to assist in levelling up their commanders next to Narai is up, so Fiji, Scharn, Weimar. When the coffee has soaked in I'll do some ops so currently Leander, Nurnburg, Dido, Repulse. I've got 167 ships now and there's some days I never get round to playing some of the good ones.

Correct and max 5 eggs for co-op. FWIW: In the first sprint I got 863 while only playing co-op. Subtract time spent in Narai (ops don't count) and doing real life stuff and ... Isn't that part of the definition of a gaming streamer?

Even though I'm PvE, Petro seems a bit of a enigma for me too. Only a few times have ships sailed with enough of an angle to exploit that AP. But when it does happen though, I can really see why it is considered kinda broken.- 45 replies

The reason** WG give to not trying is that you can benefit, from earning credits & XP, from those matches. However, you earn nothing in training rooms, so trying out a premium/freemium ship there would seem a very logical idea. ** Sadly, of course, WG want you to spend frivolously. Which can backfire for tightwads like me : why would I spend, what can be considerable amounts of money, on an unknown?- 45 replies
