This silly argument reminds me of Wildstar that because it was so hard it drove away the average player leaving only the hardcore that now were simply average, this is the kind of elitism that gives gaming a bad name and amusing enough turns the overachievers into simply average players, when everyone is a winner nobody is. And of course Wargaming isnt going to start excluding players when they already have issues with retaining rates and no, they arent going to start showering the overachievers with gifts, the servers and staff arent payed with good will (not they would get any) and they have to make do with monetization, asking the economy to be worst to new players because of perceived inflation is just a bad idea overall, its not as if you people didnt [edited] and moan about the 2m FXP for T10 ships and only reason to make credits harder to get is to push people into buying then in the store so you then go about bitching how greedy Wargaming is and P2W with the rest of the usual nonsense, there are a lot of things I dont like on the economy with credits not even something I consider, you want for me to play without modules? I can and will do that.

No, look at the Campaign ... Tier VIII-IX European, thats the target ... people that dont have European DD Tech Tree Tier VIII+ or Friesland as they shut off the campaign for the Legendary 10-points Commander, the whales already have him (at 14 points and a 10 points one because 30k is totally fair) and they most likely have Friesland as well other DDs so they could do the campaign anyway. The only reason where you would want to buy Orkan is to have another ship removed from supercontainers, for snowflakes or because you want the legendary DD where its highlight of its career was being sunk by a U-Boat.

" Unfortunately, there is no point-tracking system in the game." Of course not, how ... unfortunate.

submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
WWDragon replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
Actually subs are too slow to engage CVs as they can casually sail away, also subs are nearly blind as anything else have better spotting range, people that were going on about submarines being better spotters ... no, they arent ... they just get it "easier" as they have more breathing room to avoid detection but so do DDs as long they remember what their spotting ranges are (aircraft not withstanding for now since if they start putting a ASW aircraft and mess around with spotting ranges since aircraft should be able to stop subs at low depths better that surface ships). -
Anyone else think the DDs have gotten ridiculous?
WWDragon replied to Capt_Otto_Lindemann's topic in General Discussion
Reading these replies is part of why I come to ignore CV complains because a lot of posters just go down to "I play DD and I want to be OP" since they complain about 2 things, CVs because they spot then and Radar for the same reason and without then DD would dominate the game. DDs are dangerous and thats why they are priority 1 target to any ship, this is also why DD die fairly soon in matches because nobody is stupid enough to let a DD be around endgame with just 2-3 ships around so he can casually cap and fire torps outside spotting range, if you are a BB just stick in the blob and let the cruisers and DDs deal with the red DDs, if you see smoke then assume its hiding there and try to remember what range their torpedoes have and change course often, just stick to around their maximum range and their firing pattern will allow to dodge then, if they open fire just shell were their tracers are coming from since if CVs are lazy and dont move, the average smoke DD is also content to sit in smoke and not move (and the ones that dont, cannot really move much either) so you have a shoot at hitting then or at least scare then. -
You are missing the point, people spend 5k Doubloons on a camo that is a significant investment and now because Moskva is turning into a coal ship that camo will come with the ship. Let me ask this, why refunding the cost is apparently such a issue as I am seeing so much resistance towards such a option? At best all you achieve is gaining €16.20 from future purchases as 5k Doubloons cost isnt enough to even buy some Tier VI destroyers and that is the very best scenario. Lets say I unlock Yamato, I have the HSF camo but because of this whole thing I am less inclined to get Yamato Type 20 Permanent camo because a) its expensive and b) this whole situation is a precedent were in the case Yamato gets turn into a special ship, those are €16.20 going down the drain.

Twitch 100k Stream: Get your Supercontainers!
WWDragon replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
*Checks missions* Random, Ranked and I assume Clan ... no thanks. In fact I will make sure to ignore it since I am tired of the mission list being clogged. -
Tallinn and Riga are in early access and their sub-branch Tier X is not Moskva replacement, Alexander Nevsky but Petropavlovsk. So they made two Tier X ships besides Kirov replacement, Kotovsky and speaking of Kirov ... why was it replaced? The sub-branch starts at Tier VIII and Kirov is Tier V, neither Moskva or Kirov need to replaced as being tech tree ships they are lack Premium Immunity to changes, even if Kirov was a actual ship the line still will only split at Tier VIII and its being replaced by a paper ship (there was a actual ship with that name, a hospital ship) so I am not seeing any logic here. All of this is strange and confusing since the existing line gets two ships added for no reason because they could alter Moskva stats, it doesnt have Premium Immunity as Kirov is for most part in line with the line (Ha!) having torpedoes and armor made from the same napkins of the majority of the soviet line come from so it performs as expected with Moskva being the "odd duck", even if they wanted to retain Moskva as it is and this how they did it, there is no reason to unlock Alexander Nevsky as well because the line was a investment of players in the line as Coal is simply a investment in the game and they are different things, the fact is players unlocked the Tier X Russian Cruiser and not the Moskva. And that is not even going about the premium camo. Also I do FULLY expect to get Kirov replacement for free, I am NOT going to regrind its replacement and I also FULLY expect the XP I have on the Kirov to either turn into FXP or to be put on its replacement, if someone wants to argue that I am getting a premium for the low low price of XP I am going to point out this is progress I lose for the rest of the line.

aircraft carriers German Hybrid CV line proposal
WWDragon replied to CaptainKreutzer's topic in Other
No, its not ... its dead last in win rate since only Lexington pre-rework is lower and I am not counting pre-rework for the obvious reasons. Only servers were she isnt last is NA (Lexington is dead last) and RU were she is about in the middle. -
Oh yes, but you could *buy* a Tier IX European Destroyer and get it done sooner *wink* wink* ...
-
I kinda hoped that the Super Yamato would be coal but there is still a coal/money Tier IX BB for the time being.
-
Edit: Ignore what I wrote before because I am dumb and got the wrong ship. Z-35 is a Type 1936B destroyer that isnt a class that is in the game, considering the Tier IX German destroyer is a Type 1936C and the Tier VIII is a Type 1936A its not odd the Type 1936B would be at either Tier VIII or IX, the 1936B did had improvements over 1936A such as better guns because the 150mm guns didnt really worked and other things that dont really translate into the game.

Not only that but people forget there was a African front, people should read on Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck. And speaking of that, look up on NRP Augusto de Castilho and U-139 .

Something about CC and dev blog changes on reddit given to CCs
WWDragon replied to howardxu_23's topic in General Discussion
Well yes, they want to sell ships ... its a business after all. And of course they have the following choices, gimmick or OP because they cannot sell a ship that is exactly like the Tech Tree one with fiddled stats since would anyone buy a ship with worst stigma but slight better reload? They have to make ships stand from the rest as otherwise people wont see the point. Also you dont want to open the door to nerfs to premiums because that is a temptation of nerfing a "overperforming" ship to then release the exact same ship with those pre-nerf stats so you buy it again, as much people like to say "oh yes, they should balance all the ships and premium ones be damned" they will complain when suddenly the ship they payed money for suddenly is complete crap, "power creep" is a natural evolution of a game as the opposite is stagnation, its better to buff ships on individual cases that try to "balance" the game entirely as that will never work. As for that message on the OP, what I guess is that WG thinks CC are influencing how people buy ships and they apparently got in their heads that CC should be talking about existing ships and not future ones because apparently CC exist to be WG salesman, now CC on the other hand want clicks and talking about old ships isnt going to generate much interest from their viewbase, I am interested in Imperio and dont give a damn about Roma because I dont know what Imperio actually does outside SAP and Smoke that aint much as Roma been in the game for so long that I can just look at older reviews, for a CC existing content is something they already gone over and doesnt generate interest as people arent going to check a new review of Roma as a review of Imperio will give people a idea of the ship will do, apparently this new guy at WG that is handling the CCs doesnt even think about why CC even talk about WOWS and nothing worst for their channels if they stagnate talking about old content, their views will be gone ... and then WOWS visibility will be gone. -
I bet the campaign will be Random only as well.
-
I am good, waiting for Imperio ...
-
And thus I have no incentive to watch WOWS Streams, after all isnt Twitch Drops meant to encourage people to watch streams and thus increase visibility of the game on Twitch? If you carrot is GIT GUD NOOB then its not much a carrot now is it? So, not bothering with WOWS Streams anymore as I already had to get out of my way to watch then.
-
They ALWAYS have to be done in Random. Its not about being "free content" (that I would not call "win 5 battles in co-op" content or the 5 camo) but they entirely ignore people that for whatever reasons do not play Random. Also the one from the code? Also have to be done on Random because of course it have since its oh so easy for everyone to get what? 1800 base XP?

Your eu tokendrop for the first 4 containers
WWDragon replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
80 or 90 ... garbage. I think its time I stop giving a damn about these "events" because they are just trash designed for whales to spend money on it. -
As usual, the Twitch missions are crap. I am starting to wonder why exactly did I even bothered with linking ...

Two things: I read that those rockets are more of level bombing as there is a arming timing so I dont think they will be that different that Audacious. The heal is different as its designed to heal outside AA damage and as you point out its as fast as Swordfish but then ignore what happens to a Swordfish when uptierd, you do really thing those planes can survive with those speeds against T8-10 AA blobs?

New ships revealed - MN Champagne - USS F.D Roosevelt
WWDragon replied to CptMinia's topic in General Discussion
Its not premium, check the icon ... its white with gold laurels instead of being all gold. Sure they could do a Puerto Rico and sell it indirectly but it wont be a Premium. -
As much you people love to cry about P2W and unbalanced and Russian Bias the game development have two choices ... either more ships that will start to obsolete others simply because of the number of then or alternative classes. Without CVs what WG can only do is add more paper ships that will then have people complain about them, there is no point in removing then because for some people it doesnt matter if all they did was having a bulleye painted on with no planes or weapons, its a question of being a Redditor karma farming,

It is, also operations dont count and I was pretty pissed when I found that out when I had a decent Killer Whale game with like 10-12 incapacitations. Eventually I given up because I could not reliably do it. If it was all torps then I can get some fishes in the water from CVs, cruisers and even the few BB that have then and 50 would be fine, being stuck on doing it on a DD is the annoying part because there are a few DDs that can put a lot of fishes in the water but you kinda have to spam Co-Op with DD and because everyone is doing the same you end up with matches that are 4 DDs with a lot of cruisers and killing DDs with torps is entirely possible but only one will count of the whole spread and you end up with frustrating games were instead of gun down the DD you torp it and then the match ends with just 1-2 torps. I dont think 50 is that bad outside the fact they want us to do it in a specific ship type.

Submarines Beta Test: Are You Ready to Submerge?
WWDragon replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
I think there should a trade-off, subs should have small surface detection (as smaller that DDs) that allows then to move around and even fire NO-WIRED-GUIDED torpedoes and even have a deck gun for lolz (and AA also for lols even if there was a U-Boat modification that was like 4 flak guns and no deck gun) as if they dive they get that slow speed but pretty much nearly undetected (like 1k detection) and battery time that limits their underwater time so they cannot just move, submerge, camp and wait ... with snorkels that could be used to recharge their battery but further slows then down, increase their detection range (people do notice when the sea is smoking) and be detected by radar if they try. Sub gameplay should be a game of moving relative fast on the surface, dive to avoid detection and fire unguided torps, at least not wire-guided ones.
