    Just how intelligent are the bots?

    I am sure people pointed out the problems with that bot AI, if WG wants they could program bots to not only have perfect aim (that they do) but also to constant angle against, keep at maximum range as well blob up and focus fire on a single player at once. And this is even before they make bots cheat and I pretty sure they do that since I seen some strange conga lines going strait at a player despite then having no reason to so that, they knew my position despite being in a DD that wasnt detected and was behind a island. You are not going to out-micro a bot and its very easy to give then anti-player bias, even now bots have perfect aim and a few cheats were they are only bad at making what can be called "decisions" such as using consumables but you cannot really program that very well since its condition set ... so you just let then "cheat", do you want bots to be invulnerable to fires? Because WG can do that too.

    Update 0.9.6: German Carriers

    I use Steam myself and I can understand people being turned off, Steam today is a bloated marketing tool trying to sell you other games and if you look at other mandatory unified launchers you see the same thing, only good thing I can say about WGC is that its not mandatory yet for Steam players unlike uPlay and Origin that are mandatory. The difference is WG doesnt have "killer apps" like EA and Ubisoft had to push their unified launchers and even they havent been successful with EA moving to Steam (thats why I know Origin is mandatory, got ME3 there) and Ubisoft recent "partnership" with EGS, I am sure WG believes that pushing their launcher will make then more money that losses from players that will leave because of it but then this is WG, I am always amazed when fellow players side with companies that views the players as nothing more that wallets but its 2020 so I really shouldnt. I understand CM since they are companies employers and really would never side with players.

    I am going to say this, GZ is a T6 CV that was put at T8 so they could sell it at a higher price, at T6 the ship would be mostly fine, maybe a bit on the strong side but only on the cruiser side. Also during RTS I guess GZ could perform better as a cruiser/carrier hybrid but with the rework the player cannot both sail the ship as well fly the squadrons, the whole "it have great secondaries" is now lost since they can only really be used defensively as a cruiser they lack range (it certainly does at T8) so you if try to play it as a cruiser all they have to do is stay outside secondary range and destroy you with impunity, only DD that want to shell you would be in trouble. As it stands, its a T6 at T8 MM ... and as a concept its a RTS CV forced into Rework were its potential ability to function differently are entirely nullified by the fact you cannot sail and fly at the same time.

    Blame the poor XP payout of co-op as well the endless event directories as well campaigns, they been funnel players to T8+ so you cannot blame people for wanting to have things done. Besides in these type of games, its better that the player experiences frustration so he coughs up the money to escape it, you see that with directives meant to make people to cough up for Premiums as they require ships new players are not likely to have.

    No, we dont. Its their game, we can stop playing but considering some reactions are hysterical since the ship is entering testing, also by "we" you mean who exactly? The minority that karma farms on reddit with their humor tag about "CVs are overpowered right guys?", "Nooooo ... you cannot add subs to the game as they will break the precious balance" and similar behavior? As it stands its a silly ship that doesnt warrant the amount of screeching from some people because of how it was back in 2015, people already gone over several times that at T10 the ship is going to face a lot of problems due to DD counters that directly affect her yet this is apparently lost, how about you look at what the ship does.

    Bismarck being hit by one of Rodney torpedoes is even debatable. As for other battleships (and battlecruisers), pretty much all pre-WW I era battleships had torpedo tubes, they were later removed since not only they tended to cause a lot of issues (like flooding) but Jutland shown that it wasnt a good idea to put then on battleships, when those ships were modernized/rebuild they lost their torpedo tubes, Rodney and Nelson having then to begin was kinda of a odd decision since everyone else was removing, even the Royal Navy, Hood and Queen Elizabeth's also had theirs removed.

    That the fact battleships had their torpedo tubes removed at some point? Nelson in game is in that configuration. As for Kitakami, pretty sure she had launchers since historically she was converted into a torpedo cruiser with 10 quadruple torpedo tube mounts for Long Lance torpedoes so as crazy as this sounds, it actually existed.

    They have their pre-WWI color scheme were detection was more important in case they had to do a emergency landing on sea. Besides isnt it only on the Ranger as the upgrade option replacing the Martin T4Ms?

    Tillman Battleships were created in another time or rather, they were designed by people that didnt put in consideration the sheer cost of those mammoth ships as well the infrastructure to build them, they were "the biggest thing we can build being able to use the Panama Canal with as much armor and guns we can put on then". They were also a obsolete design, I mean the IV-2 that was the only one presented to Congress was presented in 1917, the South Dakota was a year and half later and the most damning thing is, these things that are basically WWI designs are at Tier VIII-X that is ABSURD! since they would have terrible AA defense, slow speed and modernize then post-Pearl Harbor would not rectify those faults. Heck those make Kremlin seem sensible, is that the idea? That because the Soviet marvel of Naval Engineering build on the Марс Shipyards exists and could totally been build if they so chosen then the Americans could had build these things in case they decided to completely isolated themselves and completely ignoring naval design that lead to the fast battleships to appear in the first place but no, reality doesnt exist in WG anymore when they shoehorn a WWI battleship at Tier VIII-X, heck is not as if the USN wasnt impressed by battlecruisers and tried to build some before Washington Treaty come into existence or Japan wasnt building the Amagi class who happened to been approved in late 1917 who happened to reach 30 knots and was significant armed and the US response to that would be "lets build a WWI battleship BUT BIGGER!". I got more upset that I thought when I typed this, I mean ... Florida at least have SOME ground being the North Carolina XVI proposal (that did managed to be one of the finalists) as these maximum battleships are "what if, the USN decided to completely bankrupt the country by having 4 of these ships that would be utterly useless at defending against smaller, faster and similar armed ships that would be more economical viable", the Tier X Manfred Richthofen is also another STUPID design and its because "battleship hull converted into a carrier" since the Japanese did that with Shinano and you see they didnt slap a flight deck on top and call it a day, unlike WG that commits so many design errors because they want it to look like a upscale GZ that itself had several designs errors as if the Germans would keep making such mistakes, apparently the fact GZ have a Atlantic bow for a reason and not a aesthetic reason is entirely lost for then.

Well there are only 3 and they are exceptions like Atlanta having torpedoes or Missouri being the only BB with Radar, Salem Radar is also "only" 8.5km that allows some DDs to torp it without getting into range as Des Moines Radar is 10km. I did edit it to include that but I admit my oversight.

I hear that is how the game engine works and how radar functions within the game engine but if you want to go down that way, radar also didnt shut off after a while and you had to wait and frizzled out after working 2-3 times. Its not really hard to know USN/RN radar is 10km and Soviet radar is 12km, anything else either lacks one or its 7.5km in case of Pan-Asian or IKEA and only on Tier VIII+ ships (with currently 3 exceptions on Tier VII), its kinda like knowing what ships have torps and what dont, sometimes there are some surprises like Atlanta/Flint were you assume being a USN mid tier cruiser it doesnt have torpedoes and they do and I am sure Anchorage is going to catch a lot of people off guard.

CVs been in the game since launch, you could argue if they work or they dont but in the end, they been in the game as long its been public available, to argue they are "as an afterthought" when that required then to create a system around AA parameters as well is simply put, absurd (subs werent easier either BTW). Also excuse me but I am tired of seeing the same old reply, the game have CVs since day 1 just like it have cruisers, destroyers and battleships and you are simply reinforcing my argument that you want the game to be played in a very specific way, never mind the current problems that exist that arent related to CV existence, you would simply move from complaining about CV to complain about something else, like Radar and Hydro.
  15. Well, yes ... really. And then they keep playing the game because people are hypocrites and I am not talking about WOWS, I am talking about gaming in general mind you. Also lets consider CVs, they been in the game since the start and WG have spend a lot of time, resources to have then in the game and the game was designed around the idea CVs exist ... now remove then ... all those years and resources? down the drain, wasted ... ships that were balanced around the existence of airplanes are now completely off balance because German ships have bad AA, Japanese ships also have bad AA but they get other things as a result just like US ships have good AA but lack in other areas and no matter what people way AA matters, its not the death zone of airplanes but then again, neither is Massachusetts secondary range a death zone for DDs and WG would have to go over every single ship from Tier II to Tier X and readjust then. And in the end they would just move to their next on the list irritation until all that would be left would be World of Battleships since nothing else would survive, this is why game developers say they "listen to the players" but that is that, listen ... most of the people that complain will simply go over generalizations as THIS! BAD! that doesnt tell then anything and when they say something more substantial most of the time its entirely subjective and based on their own preferences, the whole RUSSIA BIAS is a example were I would agree that its ridiculous the amount of lines the USSR gets (and I am not even going about who gets two naval ensigns that separate and who doesnt - yes, this subjective but annoys me) but the whole attitude "its Russian and thus OP" is ignoring a lot of stinkers and recent ones at that, look at Poltava that was removed from the store without people even noticing it, its fun to engage in such shenanigans and I am guilty of that but at the same time, we shouldnt go REMOVE USSR as I am sure some would not mind at all if that happen.Now Developers cannot really act on that and often the perceived problems are just that, perceived but currently we live in the OUTRAGED age were any perceived fault or issue must be immediately corrected and WG cannot just do whatever they are told immediately anyway and certainly not in a kneejerking reactive way that they do, this leads to overall nerfs that turn interesting ships into milquetoast because some players are far more keep in preserving their WR and their meta and complain about anything that threatens it.

    Both. Torps cannot hit cruisers or destroyers but have default 20km range as well being fast, relatively stealthy and it have a torpedo reload booster that doesnt take smoke slot, now consider the recent additions to modules in particular the ones that gives even more speed to torpedoes and considering how static BB can play and its a very scary ship ... that is as long there are only Battleships around, AA defense is ... lets say it have some AA defense, "some" so CVs can counter it even if they wont like going after DDs if they can avoid that. But it cannot do much against a Cruiser outside give away her position so the Cruiser can kill her. However, considering how static Ranked can be, Asashio slipping by and flaking means suddenly your parked BB is flooding and she can do that unmolested if there are no Destroyers or CVs around to stop her, even Cruisers still need to spot her and since Asashio torps can comfortably be fired outside even Glorious Soviet radar detection range, she have to give herself away but completely worthless if no battleships remain as it cannot engage full health cruisers.

    The problem is they miss, if you make a drop on a BB you need to release then at the start of the drop so they can penetrate the deck as otherwise they dont have the speed to do it but because of that due to the cross-eye drop they simply go to the side and miss entirely. With cruisers they have a bit more time to counter because you need to do it at the end of the drop but since unlike other dive bombers that climb and dive giving then time to aim better, the immediate dive and then act like level bombers, the speed completely messes your ability to aim and a cruiser that is on a turn have better chances to avoid any damage simply because your time to react is less that with conventional bombers since they actually have air brakes to slow then down.

    Ludendorff NERF

    There is a whole package, you cannot just make it a Friedrich der Große with Bismarck guns. The problem is that the guns are so bad you cannot reliable hit anything with then, Alsace guns deal more damage (5,400 vs 4,400 and 11,900 vs 11,600 and), higher velocity ( 830 m./s vs 820 m./s ) and have 2% higher chance of creating a fire, heavier too (884 kg vs 800 kg), also 3 х 4 vs 4 х 3 so it can fire 8 barrels front as Ludendorff can only fire 6. And removing armor would mean you would have a battleship that would had bad maneuvering, bad speed, low caliber mediocre guns with now bad armor, the guns were already not good before this, they just became terrible, you know whats funny? Ludendorff have longer range that Alsace but because its ballistics are so god awful its going to miss stationary targets at maximum range that makes me wonder exactly how those people even design ships, this ship is lazy because its the stereotypical German Battleship, they slapped Bismarck guns and Tirpitz launchers on Friedrich der Große and then put their new 30 mm Flakvierling 103/38 AA model on her (and those likely going to find its way to other German ships) and slam, new ship. And this is the problem I have, a lot of these ships are uninspiring and bring nothing to the table, we have enough of "German accuracy" battleships in the game already, we dont need another with torps as that somehow makes then stand because all this ship have over the rest is Torps and 6km torps at that.

    Actually, no ... it wont. They will simply try to push in to get a better shoot and die because they cannot hit anything reliable and the long reload will make then try to get a better aim since they cannot simply wait it out, its not like amazing balls Conqueror were after some tries they will hit, 33 seconds for low caliber guns (Tier IX anyway) is dumb. Besides I am bad at the game and even I know you just dont take Friedrich der Große, give it worst guns and say "we give her torps, its balanced", the only way this ship can perform is trying to torpedo other ships on brawling that doesnt happen often at Tier IX because your main guns are useless.

    All AP bomb damage was reduced, this affects Enterprise, all IJN Tech Tree Carriers and GZ. It doesnt change things that much because all they are doing is making bombers less valid and since GZ torpedo bombers are as crap as the ship itself, GZ takes a bigger hit.

    Well I hope you dont think anyone is going to get the upcoming German CVs after this little joke of a balance pass ... I suppose Kremlin is now perfectly balanced since no changes to her AA values. 17% reduction of 0 damage is still 0.

    Well they nerfed that floating piece of flotsam called Graf Craplinn too, AP bombs now do 5800 damage ... not that it matters considering they never hit anyway.

    X Venezia: The angle at which the check for ricochets is made for her SAP shells decreased from 75 to 70 degrees. Main battery guns reload time increased from 20 to 20.5 s; Rudder shift time increased from 11.6 to 12.6 s. You were saying? But dont worry, I am sure that marvel of Martian engineering, the Kremlin will just have its AA nerfed a bit.
