Personally I have no issues with the current format of the Dockyard - as it is transparent what you need to do and pay for the ship, and what the rewards are along the way. As far as the dockyards go: Puerto Rico: Got to the Gorizia on EU. Had just started playing the game in late October. Grinds were a pain, especially since few if any were concurrent grinds. Odin: Completed it on both NA and EU; bought one extra stage for each, to cheat myself into getting the Research Bureau Anchorage: Completed it on both NA and EU; Hizen: Under normal circumstances I will complete it on both NA and EU. Bought the small starter pack. Frankly I find the latter two stages of the Lunar New Year campaign (this patch's campaign) worse than the Dockyard grinds. I can see where I have improved to the point where I am starting to do the missions more or less along the side. Only the credit missions can be a pain, as I am playing my way up the tiers, and rarely if ever play randoms in T7+ ships; the number of T8 matches is relatively high because of the KOTS missions (and maybe some others). -

I have voted we need another solution... I see your point. My problem is that regularly I see cruisers sail broadside, not even attempt to angle at medium and sort range to BB's and NOT get punished, due to the overpen mechanic. As it is, sailing broadside seems to be safer than actually trying to angle. Sailing broad side cruisers SHOULD get punished.

For the same reason, they will NOT get rid of 2 CV games. @MrConway Please, can WG provide an explanation of WHY they think that 2 CV games are a good thing, especially in T4? I see the following issues: - Allegedly ONE of the reasons to get rid of RTS CV was the ability to cross drop. With 2 CV's, the cross drop is still there (indeed, I just experienced one). - You are almost permanently spotted by one of the CV's. With the very small maps in low tiers, that means that as a cruiser you are in range of almost ALL BB's. It then is simple luck of the draw if you are shielded by islands from cross map shots. - AA in T3 and T4 is an absolute joke, ships have no way to defend themselves from it. - Ships in T3 and T4 are often so sluggish that they cannot dodge the 2nd drop if the CV player is even barely competent. This clipped screenshot is an illustration: ALL the damage done by the CV-s (12k) was a cross-drop, in which the Rhein got off two drops. Because of the Langley torps there was no way I could dodge the second Rhein drop either. Even most of the Danae damage was done because I could not maneuver at all due to the torpedo cross drop. Yup, less than 3 minutes in, and down to 700 health. GREAT FUN I had. The only reason how I could have avoided this is just hang back in spawn, and let the CV's pick another target. And one of the biggest problems in the game right now already is the passive play style of many players (hang back and shoot from miles away).

In Ranked I ran into @fumtu today, him in his Cossack. Ended up in a gunfight with him (which I lost, and strictly speaking never should have engaged in in the first place - but as the game was won...) I have to say, he had pretty bad luck with his team there. -

Randoms yesterday, using New York for a few missions, game started out mêêh, ended up in setting my T5 damage record. I assume scoring 700 Base XP more than the nr 2 in your team somewhat counts as a carry. Of course the double CV is what got me in the end. -

I see what you mean. What has generally seem to work for the winning teams I was in on that map: Push the B-C side, then just defend and wait for the enemy to come out of A. So yeah, generally 8/9/10 line push. Keeps the island in between A cap and the rest. Seems to work in Bronze, at least. -

Generally I have a nice time in Bronze. It does not take me too much time to rank out, and I am having fun in DD. Ranked out today (took me 24 games (WoWs-monitor says 17) to rank out. Mostly because I had a few very bad games myself, and on occasion the hopeless team. Why teams go for the A-cap on Sleeping Giant, I can still not comprehend - I have seriously had only a single game on that map where the team that had people go for A-cap comfortably won the game. Maybe I am too much of a potato to notice much of the stupid stuff, but generally I do enjoy myself. And if I do not, I just go do something else. For me the positives: - I can see for myself what I do wrong, and notice my contribution to the team more. - Generally I feel I contribute to the team - I feel I am generally improving as a player. -
I would also say this rewards the players who camped in the back - but whose bad dispersion allowed you to come in closer and advance upon the enemy team. This skill basically rewards inherently bad game and team play.

I find the original post a bit of a failed troll attempt. BTW, yesterday a streamer as a joke tried out Kaga with buffed torps in Co-op. Racked up almost 100k in pure torp damage, against T8 ships, and the AA of each ship was irrelevant, something that in the old system would NEVER happen in Co-op. -

My thoughts: Ships from crates: 1. Bajie, Wuking, Sanzan and Wujing can drop from the "Journey to the West" Containers 2. The 'regular' Pan-Asian premiums can drop from the Lunar NY Container The whole campaign can be completed in Co-op. Most does not seem too grindy, with a notable exception (see below). The credit mission in Stage 3 and Stage 4 seem quite grindy if you do NOT play Randoms, Ranked or Scenario battles. THINGS THAT MAKE ME GO HUH? Stage 3 mission requirement: One of the mission requirements in Stage 3 reads: In 1 battle earn 2 “Dreadnought” or “High Caliber” achievements (Randoms, Ranked) Is that a typo? Because to my recollection you can only earn a single High Caliber or Dreadnought per match. So you cannot earn 2 of them in a single battle, making this mission impossible to complete. Is this correct, or is there a typo/error in the mission requirements? Stage 3 and Stage 4: The Pan-Asian premium missions can be completed in Scenario battles. All of the ships mentioned are T8 or higher. Does this mean the return of T8 or T9 scenarios? -

Personal opinion: Co-op: Play whatever you like, and almost do whatever you like. Progress at a rate you like Scenarios: Make sure you KNOW the scenarios Make sure you play for the team, and make use of chat (read it, occasionally say something in it). Notorious (in Narai): every cruiser going for the transports, and ignoring the CV. Know your limitations within a scenario (and there BB's are a fairly safe choice). Randoms: No reason to fear Randoms at all. Take things SLOWLY. Play some games in T1 through T4, then move to T5 and stay there. Some of the campaigns WG has (Stage 1 of Five Epochs of the Navy / Stage 1 of Science of Victory (only complete with T3 and T4 ships) should help you pace yourself. Play ALL classes. -
Win rate to qualify for Gold league in Ranked

I think you have identified an issue, but I think it is an extremely difficult problem to solve: I suspect many of the players in Silver or Gold that are actually bad players do not consider themselves bad players, or - in the case of AFK playing - doing something wrong. If they had accepted that they were not good enough players to play there, they would probably have stayed at lower levels. To some extent with relegation you might end up punishing other players in lower leagues, because I doubt many of the bad players in Gold League would be pissed off and feel aggrieved at being dropped to a lower league, resulting in all kinds of toxic behaviour. -
Nope - he complained about only getting 1 credit return for one of the Free XP ships (Alaska or such) that you can also buy for 60 euros. Seems like he basically wanted 60+ euros worth of doubloons compensation for a ship he could have gotten for free.

I have to disagree with you there. A lot of it depends on the class you are playing in. Case in point: Me in DD, together with Bayard. Me spotting, smoking up Bayard, pressuring (and spotting) enemy DD and sending in harassing torps. Together we clean up the enemy flank (3 BB's + DD), and get a cap. I kill an Odin through dev-strike, but not much more damage. Bayard ends up top of team, I end up BOTTOM of the team. Bayard ends up top (by decent margin). That was definite team play, but NO reward at all (other than the win).

Not sure of the source, but rumour has it that the removal of the ships (the date of patch 0.10.1 dropping) will be Februari 18, (Feb 17 on NA). So you have a month left for getting coal. You can get resource containers every day at the following thresholds: 2000 XP (minimum 400 coal - max 1200 coal) 12500 XP (minimum 400 coal - max 1200 coal) 37500 XP (mimimum 400 coal - max 1200 coal). On average you will net 2000 coal every day if you get three daily containers. Daily missions can get you 200 (nearly guaranteed if you play 3 to 6 games per day), or 400 coal every day. For those you have to play T5 and up. So you can fairly easily average - depending on tiers and modes you play - get 2200 coal EVERY day. Clan bonuses can add to that as well.

Sorry, yeah I will change my assessment - 50 to 60 games should be more realistic. I definitely agree with you about NOT doing the last mission in Co-op.

My personal opinion: Final tasks: Get those done in Randoms. Mission task (stage 4): Chose three missions (1 star, 3 star, and a 2 star based on your best ship class), and do those in Co-op. Depending on how good your are (and if you have some higher tier ships available to you), it should take you around 30 Co-op matches at most to get to the final mission. That will take most time, but a decent Randoms game should get you 1000 Base XP average for mid-tiers, if not more. If you want to get the final task done in Co-op, be willing to play around 40 missions or so 50 to 60 battle or so (again depending on tier and skill level). So you can definitely see why the final tasks can better be done in Randoms.
