  1. Not only that, but also with the exact same ribbons, and per ship the exact same damage-percentage of HP. The only way to get an accurate number of what the mission value should be would be to have two 100% identical battles, one in the Old Missouri, and one in the New Missouri. And that is impossible.
  2. See my post about Ashkance's youtube video that will be posted. There is a difference - indeed - which needs to be corrected. The problem is that the difference is not linear, but dependent on a boatload of factors that all relate to base credit earning, which is THEN modified by flags and camos. Which makes it really hard to get the initial figure right. Allegedly - Ashkance's words after his convo with the dev - the actual credit modifier built into the Missouri is surprisingly small (he did not name a number, as he was not certain he would be allowed to under NDA rules).
  3. Just came from Ashkance' (yes, a CC) stream, and he will put up a youtube video later tonight/tomorrow. During the stream he discussed both the Missouri Credit Issue, and the actual conversation between LWM and the dev (about the Missouri credit earnings) that was at the basis of this final straw that broke the camel's back. He made this stream and video after actually having a voice-to-voice conversation with (one of) the St Petersburg devs about what the problem with the Missouri Credit Mission actually is (and where it has gone wrong). Note, for that Dev it would be 22:00 roughly at the time Ashkance talked to him. This is MY interpretation of what he discussed and showed. About the convo between LWM and the devs: At the heart of the problem seems to be actual honest miscommunication between LWM and the dev(s), with no bad intentions on either side. At the heart of that are two issues: on the dev side there are NO native English speakers (which leads to communication issues) and LWM and the dev (especially the one who responded when LWM came to WG when the Missouri credit mission was incorrect) were unintentionally talking past each other. The fact that WG also used the standard 'we do not have the data collected yet' response while LWM had collected that data for them did not help matters either. Add to that native vs non-native speaker and discord messaging vs actual voice-to-voice convo, and it all exploded. And yes, IMHO you can blame WG for those miscommunication problems, as it has not done anything to minimize these issues (despite having been warned about it). About the actual Missouri credit issue (the straw that broke the camels back leading to the current mess): At the heart of the problem is the fact that if WG were to make Missouri available for mass purchase in the game (a desire from the community, as well as a way for WG to make money), WG would have to do something about the credit modifier in order to NOT break in game economics. Making the Missouri available as - say - Missouri 1945 or Missouri whatever (let alone New Jersey) would be unacceptable to community. Same would be renaming the "Old" Missouri's into something else. The credit modifier is INBUILT in the Missouri, so would fall under "earnings" in the post battle income tab. Those earnings (including inbuilt modifier) are then used to calculate extra credit income based on flags, signals and camos. To "correct" for the removal of this in-built modifier (needed to make it possible to reintroduce Missouri into the game for the masses) so that "Old Missouri" would still make the same credits as before there were basically two options: 1. Do something with the coding for credit earnings 2. Add a mission Option 1 - do something with the coding for credit earnings - was not realistic as that would run the risk of introducing bugs into the credit earning calculations [I presume for the game as a whole] Option 2 - Add a (permanent) mission - would be viable as that was a mechanic that had been used before. So WG chose to use this. LWM, (and I personally think the WG devs themselves, looking at the 'we will closely monitor the situation, and will change things if needed' statement), figured there was a serious chance that WG would NOT get things correct immediately, and therefore set up her data gathering program. Note that the amount of data needed was such that she had to resort to a community-wide data gathering program (she asked on the NA forums to gather the data for her). Result: LWM had the data before WG had the data, and came to them and said things were going wrong. WG somehow figured out that 17% bonus for the income compensation mission for Missouri would be the baseline (and could well be enough) to cover the earnings gap caused by the removal of the built-in credit modifier. They were wrong, it is NOT enough, and they will increase that percentage until that earnings gap is covered - to the point where your earnings should be as good or better under identical circumstances than under the pre 0.10.7 system. Ashkance in his video also uses a numerical example to show what the intention of that credit mission actually is, and how it is supposed to work. The fact that WG would try to bridge this income gap between Old and New Missouri through a mission, INDEPENDENT of the flags and camos you mount (so would be the same for a 'naked' Missouri as for a fully flagged and camo'd Missouri) [= option A], rather than through a bonus that would be modified based on the credits and flags you mount (= the extra income from the mission would be dependent on the flags and camo you mount) [= option B] was never clearly communicated to LWM when she asked about this. In fact, the response by the dev to her question (unintentionally) confirmed that it would be option B (and LWM had explicitly asked if option B would be the way WG would try to bridge the income gap).

    LittleWhiteMouse leaves the CC program

Ahum - if up to 10-20% of your CCs walks out, and many more are considering walking out - basically give you a 3 month Trial period, starting today, with no leash - and your biggest CCs are amongst them (the biggest streamer now remaining a CC would be Wookie_Legend (probably by far the biggest, not in the least because his time slot has little competition), Lord_Zath / Sone and StatsBloke. Flambass and Mr Gibbins each were bigger than those 3 combined!), the higher ups will definitely notice. If your biggest CC (BY FAR) basically forced you to kick him out, but having been kicked out still pulls in the biggest viewership - and it is not even close - the higher ups will notice. And apparently, as is, WoT is a shitshow as well, for much the same reason as WoWs has been turned into a shitshow. If your company / game is under investigation (or might be so in the near future) because of the mess the St Petersburg office makes of it, the higher ups will notice. As despicable as what is happening now, you see a community exploding and being ripped apart, the higher ups will notice. And that is what is happening right now.

    LittleWhiteMouse leaves the CC program

Yes, stuff got that bad. And this morning TCFreer quoted one Twitch post towards him (far from the only one, and according to him not the worst one either) - and in quite a few countries that message could be considered a criminal offense. According to some - he is far from the only one to receive very explicit and extreme hate mail; many of the CCs involved (including those that have left and stayed) contacted each other last night and talked things over, including the fact that pretty much all of them had been receiving hate mail of a sometimes extreme nature. Mr Gibbins talked about it yesterday on his stream, stating explicitly that the filth spewed in chat towards the streamers, Conway and Cinnemarroll was beyond the pale. And that maybe WG (aka St Petersburg) should have protected all involved in streaming that tournament by cancelling it. And why - according to the original plan - the resignations would have come in somewhere in the upcoming week (AFTER the tournament). Unfortunately WG bungled things with LWM so extremely badly that the whole thing exploded on Friday evening / night (and to be frank, I think Flamu's youtube video did not help matters either). The interesting thing is what WG's official response will be BEFORE Thursday, and the response towards the CC's (that have left and have stayed).

Confirmed List of CCs and Modders That Quit The CC Program

TCFreer has explicitly stated today in his stream, yesterday in Flambass stream (after the Twitch mob filth abused him in unacceptable ways, and he left the tournament stream) and even (though less explicit, because he had streaming commitments that afternoon) in the stream this morning, that in his heart he is out of the program, but that his mind has yet to catch up to that. And that if his mind is not up to leaving the CC program, him leaving is not an option (considering his personality). If things had gone according to the original time table (which would have happened if not for the LWM demands and SubOctavians response blew things up) and the resignations would have been somewhere this week, but NOT before / during the weekend, he would almost certainly have left at the same time as the likes of Flambass and Mr G. Put it this way: he has not officially resigned, but ANY reference to the CC program in his streams has been removed from the program. He has basically turned in the company clothing and vehicle, yet has not gotten himself mentally to the point where he sends in his resignation letter. But yeah, only add him when he has OFFICIALLY resigned. He himself and MANY CCs that caught up in the rumour mill (like Trenlass) have been seriously hurt by that.

    LittleWhiteMouse leaves the CC program

ALL CC's I have seen so far have been VERY clear about this: The St Petersburg office is the problem, NOT other CCs, or the Austin or Prague Office. Any anger towards other CCs (whether they stay or have left the program or are considering leaving the program) is COMPLETELY unwarranted. So is any anger towards the likes of Conway and Chrysantos. They ALL deem that whatever went on in WoWs chat yesterday towards the people streaming - WHO HAD COMMITTED TO STREAM THIS TOURNAMENT BEFORE THE MELTDOWN AND JUST HONOURED AN AGREEMENT MADE TOWARDS PEOPLE WHO HAD NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CURRENT MESS - completely unacceptable; and frankly so do I. Let alone people sending private messages on Twitch and Discord wishing death to those streaming the tournament and their family on them (and all other kinds of nasty stuff) - that is just beyond belief. It also highlights the utter stupidity and cluelessness of the people writing that filth in chat - since they do EXACTLY what EVERY SINGLE CC who did get out of the program DID NOT WANT THEM TO DO. To be honest, I would love to see all those involved in spewing that kind of hatred in chat towards the people on stream yesterday being banned for any time between a month and a perma-ban.

    What we want from Wargaming

Although I am morally conflicted about demanding individuals to be fired, I think there will only be chance if certain individuals are thrown out of the company. Things I as player would like to see, for the health of the game: A thorough re-evaluation of the use of the spreadsheet: The devs seem to suffer from Spreadsheetidiocy as much as many managers do: they seem utterly incapable of grasping the notion that (a) the input data actually are not representative of what they are supposed to measure, (b) they are actually interpreting data incorrectly, and (c) that there are things in game that are NOT measured by the spreadsheet at all (and never CAN be measured). Example 1: the fact that they use duration of battle as a representative measure of quality of battle (experience) even though the CV's or occasionally other ships hiding in a corner or behind an island artificially stretch the length of battle, far beyond the point where the battle is actually over. Masking what was effectively a 5-7 minute ROFLstomp behind a 10-12 minute battle. Example 2: the use of XP earned in battle as a measure of quality of battle, even though that can be masked by people farming XP. Immediately scrap aircraft spotting for the whole team, and replace it - at best - by (delayed) mini-map spotting: It would make lower tiers much more enjoyable, as double CV games (great chance of that happening in T3 to T4) mean cruisers and BBs (especially) are spotted the whole time; and as he maps are often small, it means that other than hiding behind islands, you can be blapped from any point of the map the whole time. Only single CV games: Spotting problem (see point above) Add in the lack of effective AA and CV first strike, if you run into cross-dropping CV's and you could just as well push the self-detonate button. This is hugely frustrating as the player facing the CV, and VERY demotivating for the non-CV player. - ESPECIALLY in lower tiers. Frankly ANY individual within WG who thinks double CV games, especially at low tiers should be continued needs to be fired immediately, as completely unsuitable for ANY job within a game development company Scale back on all the loot box mechanics: No lootbox mechanics for free stuff, like new Tech Tree lines., the subs, or the daily rewards for the patch in the armory. If you want stuff somewhat randomized, give people randomized grids like you do now with the Daily Rewards. HONEST and clear description of what is in the lootboxes, with the odds. Offer affordable alternatives to loot-box ships (so no new Premium ships solely by lootbox, like Agincourt) like for the Black Friday containers or Lunar NY Containers. The Christmas crates by themselves are fine, but again, be transparent about the odds. Listen to points CCs make: Most CCs actually have brains, are pretty smart, and the group as a whole has a pretty good idea of what the community wants, as proven in the past! CCs help you identify issues that are (a) missed by the spreadsheet and (b) help you avoid misinterpreting spread sheet data. Scale down on the release of new premiums and new lines and other new stuff. The pace at which new stuff is introduced (with the related grinding) is just too much. It wears out part of the community, and it probably wears out the staff/developers. Work on fixing things like the UI, the lock-on unlocking stuff, the Devastating Strike being completely broken. I would go to something like: 3 Dockyards per year, 3 new lines per year, and maybe 1 new premium per month. Together with the themed events, that already is a lot of stuff to do! Work on fixing things for the longer term players New maps. New / more operations (bring back old operations) and/or game modes. Integrate Ease of Life elements into the game. Many of the Mods should be integrated into the game UI (if needed with a check box), not having to be modded in. Improve many interfaces (like the commander interface) Fix the HE / AP imballance. LONG TERM Start building the game around a new engine, which also might resolve some of the issues with the game itself we currently run into, and might be able to sustain the game for the future.

If you refer to Jingles specifically pointing out Angry Turtle? Put it this way - he is one of the most notorious players on the NA server, and NOT for good reasons (to put it mildly). IIRC he is also featured in another Jingles video where he is deliberately sabotaging the game for other players. There is a reason why he is one of very few players who is permanently chat banned.

Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love

Frankly, I disagree with your point here: - Many of the issues we currently have within the game have been pointed out by CCs for a long time, and a number of times even BEFORE WG implemented these elements into the game. Think, Research Bureau (in original form, which was quickly pulled) CV Rework, the loot box issues, the Commander Skill rework, pointing out bugs, lack of new maps, operations, community being worn out with one grind after another, WG simply being wrong with the information provided, etc. etc. etc. As an example: LittleWhiteMouse pointed out that the turning circles WG gave for their ships (in the panels and wiki) was in most cases completely incorrect. - Often the CCs seem to have a better grasp of game mechanics and the consequences of introducing elements into the game for game play. As a whole group, I think they have a better grasp of what the community likes to see than you (and the devs) might give them credit for. And as for WG: Part of the issue for some CCs leaving is the way that WG is trying to fuel and condition people for (spending) addiction, with all the lootboxes, including the 'free' lootboxes. It is no different to marketing alcohol to children and other people vulnerable to addiction.

You do not know that activist. I know him - he is one of the more vocal activists out there. All I see is your immediate accusation of 'whataboutism' to someone who points out inconsistencies. And implying that by saying 'hey - they suffered too' means you deny that others did not suffer is just plain wrong. That is YOUR perception, without any basis, without any further context.

Yuro might have killed the CC program, with love

The only thing I will say about this: Their suffering was / is no less valuable, but they are not the only ones suffering or having suffered in the past. And frankly, I am sick that whenever someone points out inconsistencies or outright contradictions and falsehoods in arguments (or the fact that they can only make their point by ripping things completely out of context) is immediately accused of 'whataboutism' or racism. Racism and suffering is racism and suffering, and using racial slurs is using racial slurs - no matter who says or does it, or who is the victim. Best example: an anti-racism activist who considers ANY white person using the n-word in a quotation of an original historical text a racist, yet is completely quiet when people of colour use racist terms amongst themselves or against others (regardless of context).

You are quite wrong about that, actually. Look at Trenlass, StatsBloke and TCFreer Trenlass openly stated that with the channel as it is now he more or less can live of it (or full time streaming as his sole job could be viable in the near future). However, him losing CC status and the giveaways and stuff would result in a drop of viewers that would force him to give up his job. StatsBloke has similar issues (as voiced in chat by him before), and so TCfreer. You are probably talking about Top-10 WoWs streamers here.
  20. Dutchy_2019

    The Ex-CC list

TC is taking leaving into consideration, as him leaving would have very serious consequences for him in real life. The simple fact that he is even considering leaving should say enough about how he is struggling with what is going on. Trenlass has openly stated that at the moment he simply cannot afford leaving.
  21. Most commanders probably still have no skills. A few do, which I have played a bit. Will now reset individual commanders where needed for trying things out. Will do a 'Reset All' by the end of the patch, and work from there, setting up every commander when needed.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Finished 6 missions of Stage 1 of the Dockyard today (so got all 3 Dockyard Tokens), playing Nagato, Myoko, Akatsuki and Shiratsuyu, and finishing off the 6th mission with Friesland. One VERY close game - nearly clawed back from defeat by a Gadjah and me, only to see it lost by an idiot in a Scharnhorst leaving the enemy DD a way to escape and kill one of us. If he had read chat and done what we told him, that final DD would have died, and he would have won. In the end I ended up with 4 new ships in port:
  23. Dutchy_2019

    Dockyard Tokens 21/24?

And along the way you get a T5 Premium considered worth 4k doubloons. So if you buy the 3 phase starter pack and manage to complete the dockyard, you get a T8 for free, or a T5 and T8 for 4k doubloons (roughly the price of a T5 ship).
  24. The way I see it: 1. THIS IS STILL A TEST!!! 2. CHANGING PREMIUMS might be a bit of an issue in general. Especially if the first iteration of the ASW is a bit too powerful, something new is devised, and the masses start howling about the OP original ASW option being taken out of the game. 3. MODELLING SKINS TAKES TIME: If the older skins did NOT have ASW gear, the skins need to be remodeled. Something that is NOT easily done! 4, THERE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PREMIUM AND TECH TREE and not all of them were in favour of the Premium ship. Most consider Missouri weaker than Iowa. Fen Yang has weaker torps than the Tech Tree Pan-Asian DDs, and so on.
