For me the sequence will be: - Get The Perma Camos - Get the containers to complete the collection - Get the Distant Voyages Containers - Get the other containers - Get whatever else you can get.

If Free XP ships were to go.... (or no new Free XP ships were to emerge), I think for me personally it might be a positive as there are other uses for the Free XP that currently compete with it: For the record, I have two Free XP ships of the currently available left to go: Azuma and Groningen (as I did not trade in Friesland for her). And I am currently a little under 500k Free XP. Use to Free XP your way through reset lines (Harugamo costs roughly 750k Free XP to go through). Use Free XP to respec or upgrade captains. Use Free XP to immediately upgrade the modules on your newly researched ship.

Keep all the sub captains, as new captains will expand your reserve for free. Then once the sub-event is over, dismiss all the 0 point captains, and you will have a whole load of free reserve slots.

For some of the 'if [condition A] than [condition B]' skills that can ALSO be inactive depending on circumstances, that were introduced with the Commander Rework, it is NOT that easy to see whether they are active or not. And it is for those skills that people wanted an indicator - and among them were plenty of people that definitely know how to play the game.

Why not ADD the bar to the timer that was already there. To me, removing the timer (seconds/minutes countdown) from fires and floodings as a standard feature is simply not acceptable. It is far more clear to me (and ANYONE) when it is in numbers that in a bar what is going on.

AFAIK this option has been there since the Captain Rework. Personally, I will not waste my gold on captains. I will grab the 900k credit captains, and train them up and retrain them (or use Elite Commander XP) to get them to 10 points.

OP asked about ways to obtain ships that are no longer sold / in the armory I was talking about Santa Crates, where it was announced last year that the T4 and T5 naughty ships would be taken out of the Santa Crates, so the last Santa Crates to get them from would be the 2020 crates. The 2021 Santa Crates will not drop them.

No, they are reward for watching the Anniversary Stream (much like Twitch Containers). They messed up there. In 20 minutes or so, the SnowFlakes should start.

The only way to get removed ships: - Some of them might reappear in the shop, either permanently or temporary (like what happened with Cheshire, Vampire and König Albert). - Super Containers drop most if not all of them, with the exception of special reward ships like Arkansas B, Iwaki A, Alabama VT, Alabama ST - Christmas crates can drop most of them, though the T4 and T5 naughty ships (like Kamikaze and Giulio Cesare) will no longer drop from them - Occasional resale of themed GamblingCrates, like the Lunar New Year crates or Black Friday GamblingCrates - (Re)sale of ships for special events, most notably Black Friday (which last year could still get you Jean Bart Black while Jean Bart was already no longer available from the shop or armory). Mind you, this can get expensive as they might only be available in a package deal (like you have to buy ALL Black ships of a given year). Jean Bart, Massachussetts and Alaska all have 'Black' versions.

For me: I first targeted one or two captains for Ops to get to 19 points (Narai and Scharnhorst were a very good combination). I had 2 captains at 19 points when the rework hit, and had farmed enough Elite Commander XP to get one of them to 21 points. Then used Elite Commander XP to get one DD captain to 21 points in Ranked. From there I went looking for captains of ships I like to play, work them up towards 21 points (slowly). Current 21 point captains: Akeno Misaki on HSF Harekaze (2nd Japanese captain is Yamamoto Isoroku at 15 points on Hyuga) Raymond Lewis on Massachussetts Black (2nd US captain is Andrew Blackwell at 14 points on Nicholas) Vasiliy Shevelev on Lenin (2nd USSR captain is Aleksey Statsenko at 12 points). Wim Hindemann on Scharnhorst Black (2nd captain is Adalbert Wentzel at 19 points on T-61 - currently ground in Ranked and next for me to get to 21 points) Raymond Ricard on Jean Bart (2nd captain is Jeremie Noel at 13 points on Jean Bart Black) Highest for other lines: Italy: Luigi Sansonetti at 12 points on Roma Pan-Asia: Two captains at 11 points Pan-EU: Willem Howerda at 14 points on Friesland Netherlands: Several captains at 10 points My strategy (for T5 and higher) Allocate all captains of 6 points of more to Tech Tree ships when those are unlocked. If I have no captains available, buy 6-point captains for credits. Retraining is done by playing them on Premium ships. Bring - if needed - these new captains to 10+ points using Elite Commander XP. Then grind those when grinding the ships, and use my 21-point captains to get myself the Elite Commander XP needed to boost captains being ground where needed.

I seriously hope you are being sarcastic here. Because what these people did (especially in The Chiv's example) violates both Twitch and WoWs TOS on quite a few levels.

Let us start: Pommern NEVER WAS A DOCKYARD SHIP! Dockyard ships were (are): Puerto Rico Odin Anchorage Hizen ZF-6 De Zeven Provinciën Pommern is a coal ship! Therefore Pommern should be compared to other coal ships of similar price: Jean Bart, Georgia, and the current T9 Coal ships. If you - other than Puerto Rico - expected that WG would sell a very strong Dockyard ship for roughly HALF the price of other ships in her class + grinding (which in some dockyards would net you another premium ship or doubloons) you are frankly completely naïve. One would expect a middle of the road (so in many terms quite mêh) ship, or at least a ship that requires quite a bit of skill and probably a particular play style to get the best out of her.

Strictly speaking: Stream Sniping as in deliberately trying to gain an advantage over the enemy team (or player) by watching the game you are involved in being streamed is against Terms Of Service for BOTH Twitch and WOWS. Syncdropping, as in trying to time you pressing 'Battle' so you will end up in the same battle as someone else (streamer or not) is apparently also against the TOS of WOWS. It is usually condoned as long as it happens in a sporting manner. But if it turns in harassment (i.e. syncdropping in the hope of getting on the enemy team, and then target specific that player you syncdropped) it is clearly against TOS, and can lead to bans (also depending on clan affiliation). Syncdropping CAN be a lot of fun and a nice way for a streamer to interact with his community, or allow a larger group of friens larger than 3 to play together. Accidental syncdropping can happen as well (I have ended up in Mr Gibbins games' by accident on occasion, as an example). Proper etiquette is silencing the stream and hiding the stream (if you have multiple streams) until the game is over, especially when on the enemy team. The biggest effect of stream sniping is knowing the enemy position and movements - consistently hitting a ship using stream sniping is almost impossible (did it in a Training Room with StatsBloke and a group of people, quite a few of them GOOD players; it eventually "worked" because a lucky hit (and the animation of the explosion of the shell) gave the enemy position away, and people started aiming based on the impact animation, NOT the stream sniping.

It seems that with this patch, the Dockyard has been broken. When I get a Dockyard token, and go to the Dockyard screen (in my case to claim the 250 steel) there is NO POSSIBILITY to return to port. The only way to leave the Dockyard screen is to close the game using Task Manager. There is also NO 'Esc' button in the right hand corner you can click to leave the screen (as is normally the case). I know I am not the only one, as TigersDen (streamer and CC) had the same thing happening to him on stream today.

Usually things even out over time. And on occasion you have bad luck and get a stretch run of Standard Battle maps. That said, usually you can combine those missions with others, so the games are not completely in vain.

With ranked (especially) on smaller maps you are in range of a whole lot. The problem is the homing torps. Because as a DD when coming out of a fight, you often HAVE to DCP, simply because in fights stuff gets broken. And at that point the homing torpedos are pinged in, and there is NOTHING you can do - as they are too fast and too bendy. If you can dodge them it is more luck than skill. And where a cruiser or BB can often survive a single hit, for a DD it is pretty much over at that point.

I already have completed the ship using the starter packs. They are now trying to prevent me from getting the steel.

Second - unless you are new, which OP is absolutely NOT - you KNOW that WG has all kinds of time gated events which DO NOT start at the start of the patch, but WILL have the proper start date and time mentioned in an article. Also, the expandable subsections of the news article have also been a feature for quite a few patches now. So OP deserves to be mocked, especially as he started THIS thread AFTER people in another complaint thread DIRECTLY addressed OP (who in that thread complained about it) told him how things worked. OP is either trolling or an idiot. You choose which.
