Yeah, whoever added that to brawls (both 1v1 and 3v3) needs their head examined. No. It’s not fun. It changes a dynamic, silly yolo gamemode into a campfest.

I kinda like the brawls, just wish there were actual rewards and it wasnt t7. I reckon everyone is kinda done with t7 after slogging through bronze ranked. I also wish the queue wasnt so saturated with bbs - I normally play mostly dds, so would be fun to have some brainless bb fun for once. But it takes ages to queue into a match.

Mmmaybe? The damage output on at least the t6 aistrike is still pretty underwhelming though, and in no way makes up for the lackluster guns. Flamu put it pretty well in one of his videos. WG these days does not balance a ship's gimmick(s) around its primary attributes, but rather balances the rest of the ship around the gimmick(s). So the gimmick(s) define the ship and the rest is uninteresting/bad.

To be fair, the non premium russian BB is frickin' awesome :P.

It helps to a degree, but IMO the airstrikes just aren't that useful against quickly moving targets.

Bots don’t camp, so at least the t6 airstrike is pretty much useless in ops.

Tried the T6 in operations. What a turd. Few guns, with mediocre reload, terrible range and bad accuracy...And when they hit they don't even do that much damage (or pen much), unlike Graf Spee. Hard pass.

Games played is IMO too low to make that determination. That said, the winrate is higher than I would have expected. In light of this exchange, I suppose I will reserve judgment - as I mentioned earlier I haven't played it, and my knowledge of it derives solely from what others have written about it, and my own games played against it; neither of them have been flattering for the VU so far.

I find the lack of AA honestly less of a problem than the absolutely, inexplicably terrible health pool and apparently weak armor profile (against AP). Lots of ships have weak AA, and I generally don't find the AA to be a big deal... Either the carrier is a potato, in which case you don't need AA, or the carrier is great, in which case your AA is pointless anyway.

While I do not own the Viribus Unitis, I've played pretty much all the BBs in the game at T5-6, and I have never before this thread heard the VU described as "strong". This is a ship you rarely see in randoms, and the few times I have encountered it, I have crapped on it at will pretty much regardless of which ship I've been in - probably some "monster" with "God tier" guns like the fearsome Texas or the nigh-unbeatable Kongo. I shudder to think what would/does happen to it when it's against stuff like Sinop or Nelson.

This was my initial take. However, iearlgrey, who has actually worked for wg, felt that he was fed the company line from st petes. Hard to say without knowing the guy better.

I lovehow WG is making up for pissing on the community in the Yukon fiasko. A tiger can change its stripes! As a wise man once said (more or less), my days of not taking wg’s pr schlock seriously have certainly come to a middle.
