Humility is a hard lesson. I know that I've rear seat admiralled dumb advice in chat after dying to some stupid mistake many a time. I don't think I would have understood at the time that my understanding of the game is too limited to even put myself in the right place, never mind my teammates.

I've ended up playing quite a bit of Yugumo lately, with fairly good success (I like the Yugumo a lot! Favourite T9 DD right now). I choose whether to take TRB or smoke based on divmates... If there's a light cruiser that is going to want smoke, that's what I take, otherwise mostly TRB.

I'm literally counting seconds here waiting for one of the usual suspects to bring up DD torp reloads.

Amagi is fairly accurate, and it's easier to hit the target with Amagi than with, say, the Massa due to faster shells (not that it's honestly hard to hit with the USN T8 bbs either tbh). If you've played other T8 BBs (I assume you have), it's probably just small sample size and some wacky RNG?

They ruined yoshino with the friendly fire nerf. Now theres nothing that thing is good at.

I've played two games in convoy mode, both of them victories, I was the top scorer in my team both times. Most of the losing team (attackers) scored as much or more than me, despite not doing more in the battle. Base XP was less than 1k both times. Thanks, I think I'm done with this for now. You guys need to tweak some numbers. Either defenders are somehow penalised in points, and/or winning carries no modifier to base XP. Edit: here are the screenshots. I was wrong, I did get more than 1k base xp on the first game, barely.

It’s more than that, there appears to be no bonus/modifier for winning vs losing. I repeat, I was in the defending team every time, no convoy ships on red team. @YabbaCoe is this working as intended?

Third game, this was a good one. Of course not reflected in rewards - that Tirpitz solo killed three ships or smh for that 1,5k XP (playing defenders, again - we won again, didn't lose a single convoy ship)

This. The "skill" in using secondaries is not clicking left mouse button, but a. getting to a position where you can use secondaries without getting killed and b. staying in that position to allow your secondaries to do damage. This requires considerable map knowledge and understanding of the flow of battle.

I also bought the Massa B. It is a strong, even slightly OP ship when compared to its tech tree peer (or to Alabama). The secondaries are nice, sure, but the real meat is the fast reloading heal, great torp protection, and good enough to excellent everything else (AA, manouevrability - even the concealment isn't bad).

He probably did. Personally I would prefer a better heal to better torp protection on a ship that really isn't a brawler.

For a fool proof ship, the Tirpitz certainly gets played by a lot of fools. Given how quickly it melts (like any ship of course) when the driver gets into knife fighting range and gives broadside to half the enemy team (MuST LaUNch THoSe TOrpEdoES), it is also definitely not safe in the hands of the said fools.

The bigger difference is that Alabama does not get an improved heal. Therefore I'm not sure I would agree that it is a "tankier" BB (not that you claimed this, but rather @totally_potato).

Both Cossack and Lightning are very good in ranked. I sliiiiiiiiiiiiiightly prefer the Harekaze I as it is a bit better against chonkier ships, and can still hold its own against DDs (if you don't take dumb risks with its low healthpool).
