Hello, this is my first post on the forum, and the reason I'm here.
People often complain about how bad a decent chunk of the playerbase is. On reddit and on this forum you'll see screens of teams before joining the battle with the win rates of each person beside them, showing how unbalanced the matches are, as well as several complains of clueless noobs ruining games. Of course, some of these posts reek of elitism and are somewhat exagerated, but I do think there is truth in the statement: we, the newbies, are UTTERLY UNPREPARED for battle! I picked this game last year: back then I barely had any clue of what was going on all the time, I kept going broadside at every single engagement and I would get my [edited]handed back to me even in BBs by CLs. Now... I have some clue (still have to learn a lot about the armour and the location of citadels and whatnot) of what is going on, but the players I end up playing with are either sealclubbing veterans who are grinding the latest tech tree at our inevitable expense, or they are people who just wanted to jump in a big ship and fire away at all the baddies. And how can I, or anyone, blame them? I literally had no clue of anything as a newbie! Bow-in? Overmatching? What? The game just dumps you into a match with bots, and as soon as you learn how to hit the baddies it unleashes your incompetent [edited]upon an unsuspecting team, and expects you to learn and master mechanics just like that! The worst results of this is CVs at tier IV: those lads clearly don't know what their doing most of the time, and those that even remotely do manage to sealclub the rest. I've had a game just today where I was the only BB on my team, and I got jumped on by planes immediately, halving my HP, meanwhile the only enemy BB was completely intact when I engaged! Please, give us some actual tutorials. Not some dumb video, not some post on the forum: an actual tutorial where you are taught, if not everything you need, atleast something. You can't rely on people going out of the game and onto a YT channel to learn how to play the game on a simple level: that leads to extreme amounts of frustration.
