So I was browsing stats as you do and came across this little gem. WTF!!! Over 6000 battles at T1! I mean what?

No i was joking but how can you even do that? Stick at t1 for that many battles..

Hi Guys You know when the battle screen loads and you can hover over other ships and it sort of compares with yours. If it shows I have more stealth than an enemy DD for example is that current (me compared to him) or is it showing me what a stock ship is like compared to my flag and captain and module build? I guess im asking is it a direct comparison with my ship to his

The thing I like personally about the Russian cruisers is the guns are like rail guns even from range. Try Kirov at T5 but stay at range, don't ever show your side to anyone EVER, use your speed, stop start etc and dodge a lot. It's a blast..

Maybe you're not a BB player. I'm hit and miss myself and that's not for the want of trying either. I myself can't play Kremlim for toffee. I just don't know what I'm meant to be doing ROFL. So I took a decision this week to stop playing ships im bad in and tiers for that matter and focus on ships I enjoy playing so for me thats Muts Mini Kirov Mahan Massa DM Chung Yugumo Moskva (BUT only once i've really learnt DM) My playstyle more gravitates to DD and Cruisers and I had no clue how to play cruisers until I watched some Flamu and saw him miles away in a DM almost at max range kiting and had a sort of ahh moment (I guess that's ship dependant but as I like the Kirovs guns I ground that line out). So I sit back now (in a cruiser that is) and pick my moments, kite away, maintain range and go silent when needed. The difference here has been IMMENSE to my cruiser game play and enjoyment. I now stay alive till game end mostly and am doing consistent 100k damage per game (In DM). It's a balancing act especially with DM as I also want to be in effective radar range when needed but it's one I'm actually enjoying learning now. So anyway maybe BBs at not your thang.. PS Even in saying this I don't get on with English Cruisers at all.

I died because my team were total potatoes, I knew we were going to lose when we lost 3 dd in the opening 3 minutes and pushed into torp range for a bit of personal fun. He was one of the last two ships alive so had plenty of time to learn as you put it. As I play Muts to just shy of 60% I guess I'm normally not too bad at carrying the BAD players on my team so they have time to learn eh..

Yeah I played Fiji a bit and enjoyed it but don't know how to play it and WR is poor.

There are a LOT of bad players around at the moment it seems. Yesterday after my Mutsu died I rode around on a Gallant and not once did he use his torps. All he did was fire his pea shooter guns and get ever closer to BBs until they killed him. I just sighed, resisted the temptation to advise him in chat (as that don't work ever) and went to my next game.

Ok thanks. I've played a bit of Russian and actually do ok in Kirov although struggle to do high damage numbers but WR is good on her at the moment. I find im moving around like a madman in it, is that normal for cruiser playstyle? Of course im DD main so I'm not overly used to being "seen"

I've been toying with learning cruiser play. Which line would you point me towards?

Just for the sake of aesthetics in my stats Mine is T7 as I'm trying to turn that purple now i've found that Mahan likes me. I've stopped playing T10 until I find a ship I actually like cos I'm just meh there at the moment although do decent damage it seems. I need some training.

Is this live now as my client wont connect? It tells me I'm on the latest version 0.8.6 but I thought 0.8.7 was out today this morning? Or am I just confused as usual. I get the same error message now. Modstation does not work but the game client 0.8.6 does.

I'm alternating between Sov Soyuz Yugumo Chung Mu with radar Doing ok at the moment, steady progress just got to R10

Having only just grinded up to a couple of T10s the thought of doing that again hmmm maybe not no. I don't even have all T10s yet either and it still felt like a grind.

Can only be a good thing not to get torpedoed by the cruisers behind you! Although this does not happen often to take away the I need eyes in the back of my head mode would be welcome.

This is what happens when you let your nephew play on your account as he is over for summer hols. You can see where I jumped back in for a 17 game session. Anyone that thinks WR is not linked to player skill, PR and damage output is a fool. I'm going to get him an account LOL and not let him near mine again. Interestingly on his 45% WR session I was advising him (between cooking etc) what to do but his aim was terrible. But he did improve significantly with some guidance over his first sessions that were sub 40%.
