All my boats apart from Belfast are torp boats and I get called out all the time so go figure the mentality of these players. Basically they are players that cant be arsed to learn the game and then cry about it..
-
I take it as a badge of pride when I get called a cheat which is often. Because what they really mean deep down is. I have no [edited]clue how you are so good at this game and it pisses me off big style.. Bring it..

Ahhh ok. So I sell her now and get creds and then I get given her back for free after the patch drops? Does this also apply to my Kirov as I saw Kirov mentioned somewhere. Why could not WG have explained that after multiple times being asked?
-
I've read this whole thread, my brain hurts and I still don't know what to do with my existing Moskva and Kirov that sit in my port ROFL..
-
I always assume that my team are a bunch of utter morons until and at such time that they prove me otherwise. They are alwasy going to torp me and I always play with that in my mind.

People need to start taking account for their actions

Yes. I've had the odd game, not many mind you where a player on the opposing team has open broadcast by mistake the need to get rid of me and for all his team to prio me. -
Feel like the IJN torp boats are outpaced
GraySlayer replied to DrMechano's topic in General Discussion
Oh I don't know I love IJN boats. I would love it if they got some love and became more powerful but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.. -
Dear unicorns, what happened here cz I'm lost for words...
GraySlayer replied to Bad_Mojo_incoming's topic in General Discussion
And here is a session where I was lazer focused, was enjoying myself and contributed a lot in each game to the team. This session was 83.33% WR. To get to and maintain Unicorn you have to do a LOT of this. -

To show how this works look at my own stats here: So here we have a session where I struggled to focus and just played like a Potate on the whole (Fujin and Fub aside). Those two are always my warm up games as I always do well in them and it gets me in the right frame of mind mostly LOL but not always! As you can see my PR was low to abysmal on some ships and as a consequence my WR suffered here in that the session was 38.46% WR -

Also don't focus on WR Focus on PR Get your PR high (blue or above) and WR will follow. PR leads WR by the nose not the other way around.. -

I played a game yesterday where I sank 6 ships and ran around the whole map like a man possessed and we still lost. You just have to do your best and live with the fact that it's hard to influence random players and MM and RNG will get yah.. -

I'm a Unicorn but I still lose 2 to 4 games out of ten.. Sometimes more sometimes less. It's normal.. -
I actually agree with this. I hate T7 for DD play and play Belfast exclusively there. The only cruiser I'm half decent in ahem!
-
My Mutsuckie would enjoy that argument..

You didn't need to correct it as it was fine. As I said before all is fluid and all of those objectives are important. They were not listed in order of importance.
-
Exactly Garrus. I may not have written my post clearly enough but I did try to say that all is fluid all the time in a DD. For example and as you point out I dislike very much dropping a smoke for a team that does not know how to use it and then all of a sudden planes appear and it's gone and I'm in trouble, that is a misplay. All is fluid.. However that Salem that knows what he's doing and is clearly supporting me and pushing up. Well when he asks me for a smoke invariably he gets one and invariably he thanks me and invariably we win. I am ALWAYS playing for the team. In fact I BUST my gut playing for the team at all times but NOT at the expense of me making stupid plays and hence why I wrote out objectives to keep in mind what you (this new player) should be doing..
-
We will have to agree to disagree on this Forlorn. However I did caveat all I said with it's all fluid all the time and none of it is written in stone..
-
I think my Asash is around 62% soooo 1. I don't smoke up for my team I save them for myself unless I have good support and am asked and then I might but even then it depends on the situation and if planes are around. 2. I don't think about making myself useful for my team I think about my own objectives and plays, of course when I'm playing well my objectives cross over to benefit the team but my objectives come first 3. Your low WR is synonymous of poor playstyle and NOT thinking what your objectives actually are. So Your primary objective is to sink BB's in Asash and or do mega damage. Your secondary objective is to cap along the way. Your third objective is to deny enemy pushes. Your fourth objective is to spot. Your fifth objective is to push. Your sixth objective is to stay alive past mid game at all costs. Your seventh objective is not to go off on a Yolo, keep team support close (ish). Your eighth objective is to use your guns when safe to do so, they deal good damage to enemy DDs. Your ninth is to watch the plane lanes and stay away from them when and where you can. Your tenth is to stay alive to end game. All of these objectives are fluid and some of them you will be doing all at the same time.. However... Looking at your stats you are in no way ready to play an Asash. Asash takes a very high level of skill to play well and at this time you do not have enough experience for her. You need to go back to lower tiers and learn the craft of DD play and only progress when you have done so or you will remain frustrated with this game.. If you cannot play a DD above 50% WR consistently in that tier you are in no way ready for the next tier where things get even harder. Why? Because as you move up you start to meet players like me and I and players like me will eat you for breakfast and spit out the remains of you as we go past.. But I have hope for you young Padawan Warrior. You came here to ask for help and that's brave and shows spirit and Derring doo. I applaud you and in NO way are my comments meant to discourage you. I hope they motivate you to learn the DD craft for it is very rewarding when you do. Cheers..

As a DD main I work with and around radar. Of course I don't like it but it makes me work. I would much rather see planes disappear up their own arses than radar be addressed to be honest.

TRB for Shimakaze... Bit of fun or not?
GraySlayer replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
I spent gambled, frittered away a fortune to get mine over Xmas and am sort of getting to grips with her now (not used to American DD's) Oddly enough the Missy and Kron were the only two ships from the list I didn't actually get before I stopped spending gambling. -

Played against you a couple of times so i'm glad to see you go. Only joking here.. Great player, take a break.. Am I the only one that enjoys randoms?

Watch this video of one of my games. Why is it important? It shows you how the decisions that you make on the spur of the moment can and do change the course of a battle and also improve your WR.. So this game we were on the brink of losing. I could already see ships milling around in clumps. This is always a very bad sign. I had a ship calling in chat to leave A and I could see from the enemy's positions that if we allowed them to push through there the game was over for sure. So I determined to make all haste and get to A to show the enemy there was a DD there and slow or even halt their progress. To his credit the Sov calling for leaving A stayed with me and helped us turn it around. All in all it was a very very satisfying game for me but could oh so easily have been a loss.
