    I must say, Just to water down my criticism a little bit, that I enjoy this new CV gameplay (not the nerfings) MUCH MORE than the previous one, and I do think this gameplay is MUCH FAIR to the other ships players. Previous to the 0.8.x CVs were all over the place, torping here, bombing there and keeping some are spotted at the same time. Now CVs can only do one thing in one place, that really evens the play. I love the visuals way more and you got the feeling you are in the middle of combat, not like before. I do still think that the nerfing of spoting other ships is really bad. I have run rigth into several Baltimores, Des Moines or even Clevelands and have been blown out of the sky. I could take the new rocket aiming nerf, but not along the spoting nerf, that's way too excesive. This is especially true when you are uptiered, as you'll be 50% of the times. Running your Shokaku's rocket planes into a Minotaur is nor fun not fair.

    Good luck trying to shot an unspoted IJN DD. The moment you spot it you are well over it. When you circle back and spot it again the reticle wont be able to change from orange to green from the moment you spot it again to when you are past it. This is how I feel :

    I just got my tier VIII IJN rocket planes obliterated by a Grozovoi that came out of nowhere. Really tired of being uptiered and now having to face DDs that just sgow up magically.

    Maybe the issue here is that usually people try to fine tune when correcting an issue. In this case WG may have opted just to set the 4 seconds for the rockets pre-shoting and then the 4 second span for actually aiming and firing (that's for my Shokaku rocket squadron) or they may have decided to go with the decrease in the spotting range for those planes. But they have done both, really decreasing the value of CVs. I just had a game that I started spoting and ran into a Neptune. I just found myself inside the Neptune's AA bubble, all of the sudden. That not very fair for CVs, at least give the CV player some wiggle room to opt not to go close to a ship and not be inside someone's AA.

    What if you are given the option to have 1 scuadron of dive bombers, 1 scuadron of torpedo bombers and then select between either 1 scuadron of dive bombers or one of rocket planes ?

    I have been playing this morning and...... Well, let me first give you some backgroud. I came into the game in December and even though I tried CVs at the time I didn't like their gameplay. I stuck plaing BBs, mainly German ones (ScharnHorst, Tirpitz, GK). DDs are really hard for me and cruisers are some middle ground I don`t really enjoy. But once the 0.0.8 came along I tried the CVs again and have loved it. I went with the IJN Cv line and worked my way up to the Hokaku and must say it has been a steep learning process. I like to spot first and check for DDs, and killing them WAS NOT EASY. Spoting them was, as for any other ship, but killing them, with rockets ?, are you kidding me?. You could get some hits and keep them visible to others, but that was it. DDs were no sitting ducks. DDs were the most decisive ship class to me before and I know it because I played BBs and a good DD player can just keep you in your toes, completely out of the action. This morning I haven been able to spot DDs until I was upon them, well beyond an aiming position. I have been shooted down twice without even having been able to see the DD that was using AA on me. How is that fair ? So, once I was in position to aim I find myself waiting for 4 seconds before the crosshairs go green for shotting and then only having 4 seconds to place the crosshairs o the target. Are you kidding me ??. You just made the game more unbalanced towards the DDs that it was wvwn before. Also, the DDs are now clustering with the cruisers or BBs but you won't see them until you have commited to an attack, losing your planes for sure. And the AA has somehow gotten stronger and with people clustering together there is no way to get close to anyone. This patch has ruined it for me. I have a tier VIII CV that costs me around 100K coins per single game, playing mainly (or at least 50% of the time) uptiered against tier IX and X ships, with very capable AA. So the times I get 20K coins out of a game is scarce. I'm losing money in half of the battles. I was trying to get a tier X but there is no way I'm doing it now. I'd be losing tens of thousands each game. The alternative is to play my Tirpitz or GK and get obliterated by DDs even more than before. I really think this has been a shitty patch.
