You can use at least 2 paysafe cards at the same time, haven't tried more so far. Just pick an item and type the PIN of you "leftover" card, and add the PIN of any other card if necessary or available to get the desired amount. But you can always buy "X dubloons" for even a few cents remaining, if you just want to clear a card entirely.

Afaik, you also lose time (and range) because your 2ndaries are being loaded right before their first shots, which is kind of dumb because they could be loaded right at the start of the game like the main battery guns.

I don't count the cases when crippled ships were finished off by surface vessels. But apparently, being in gun range of battleships and cruisers is not a good idea. WG should just omit the CV and go full World of Warplanes, because that's what you do as a CV player (if you are not abusing Zepps 2ndaries, which would get you court-martialed and shot right after the battle): Fly planes.
