There was the time - years ago - when one would look with positive curiosity at the devblog. Nowadays it's a dare to check upon the latest plunge into madness they intend to take.

The current travesty which WG label as "submarines" is an impotent class of cannon fodder with borderline BS mechanics. I doubt that they will be any popular, maybe even less than CV.

I disagree. To me, it's not about sealclubbing, it's about unfun mid- and high tiers. 1) I like the low tier ships and gameplay. 2) WG continues to make mid- and hightier PvP gamemodes unattractive to me (ever increasing influx of hilarious plane plague machines, long range campers etc.). 3) Some unique commanders have talents which simply cannot be activated in PvE gamemodes, so I will assign all of them (and of course they are at 21 points) to T2 ships once the next skill crapfest goes live.

I can dodge CV attacks by pressing ESC. I can dodge CV games by playing T1/T2. I can dodge WoWs by not playing the game. Big brains.

Nope, the Ise class was an evolution over the preceding Fuso class. The Kongos were battlecruisers-turned-fast battleships. It replaced no battleships. It was an additional class and part of the Eight-Eight-Fleet program. Nothing can balance plane spammers which are not meant to be anywhere near the actual battle. WG would have to increase the time between strikes to enormous amounts, at which point even the most hardcore griefer would lose interest in his near-invulnerable plane factory. Regarding the hybrids, a mirrored MM and hard cap are definitely needed, as well as a notable increase in air strike replenishment time.

I would not put too much thought into 21 points builds right now. We will get new skills soon, because daaaaaaaaaaangerous subs, so 30 points builds will be the future.

But coop is already the skill ceiling of a lot of players - probably more numerous than CV players -, so why should WG do not cater to their needs? Though I agree that postulating "I SHOULD BE THE ONLY DD" is borderline ridiculous. Despite WG's fancy ideas of historical accuracy, DD should always be the most numerous class in a task force - they are escorts, scouts and skirmishers, after all.

So what about "disabled" people with >50% WR, and "normal" people with <50% WR?

Charleston requires me to tape down the mouse button, else my fingers would hurt after the first few hundred shots fired. Yubari is - in WG's truthful words - a powerful AA cruiser ( ), and who would not like one at "why only double CV?"-tier 4?

With games filled with up to 6 clueless big gun campers per team, Asashio is a very good choice. If you want to troll your own big gun campers crying for "intelligence data" but not willing to move an inch out of spawn cover, you can park yourself next to them and casually launch torpedos into the general direction of the enemy while drinking a cup of tea and eating some cookies.
