Don't spend creds for things that are not reusable, at least this is my opinion. It is wise to stay a bit at t7 as t8 and above things can be a bit harsh. Note that after t7 you may encounter some really bad boys or people wit nice CVs like meself, although I'm perhaps the friendlier of the bunch haha :)

Don't mess with your pc further. You may break something. But... The prob is in the game client prob, meaning some setting needs tweaking or are incompatible that don't mean broken , run a search for yr sound or graph card see if people have probs with it. It's too early in the morning for me to think of a solution, have you installed everything on yr pc? Did it come preinstalled? Have they put a program in (antivirus etc) that causes interference? Does yr windows have automatic updates on? Sound/graph card probs (drivers) causes blue screens but also newer rigs, suffer from windows putting stuff in all the time. Sometimes an older driver OR a specific driver is needed to run stuff. You may have to go back several updates to find the one that works BUT I wouldn't do that if you don't know what you are doing. PS I had half a coffee. Is yr laptop running an on board graph card? It may conflict. Stop using mods.

Yea this is like the CVs (which I grew to like sorry, but also I see the problems they create) I think it is inevitable they will add them. Models, graphics, underwater environment, they practically killed the engine from the stuff they put in to the point the game lags more in my new pc than in the old one a couple of years back, no way they did that just for a short event.

There's smol window of opportunity at start of game if yr CV flys straight for the red CV. Yami can hurt it as it is stationary at that time. If you land all shells you can blap it out of the water haha :) PS: (plz don't do dat)

A good Sub captain is a nightmare for a CV. As I play mostly CVs, while the targets are there, I can't really be indifferent to them knowing I will have to face them soon in randoms. So I go after them whenever I can. I like thinking strategies and getting involved in instructions and plans of dealing with the threat. Reminds of the old game a bit. While most don't know their ships, as I said the good captains can cause havoc especially since they are always there. Also, they extremely dangerous to come after me as they can slip away undetected and they can hit you hard, especially if you are on plane duty at that time. The mode is fun. Which for me at the end of the day is the most important thing.

Fresh strategies. Since the games feature now 4-5 SBs, a minimum of 6 DDs are needed each game + 1 CV and the rest cruisers. 1 BB to absorb dmg and become a target for rest of team. It should stay further back. We used the following. Pairs of DDs went after a single sub, while the CV provided air coverage and hunted down enemy cruisers that came to help. Also it needs to attack the red dds that try to help. This eliminated in certain cases the SBs pretty fast but it needs good coordinating and clear mind. I say certain cases cuz one of the flanks usually collapses pretty fast due to panic and it is difficult to pick a good crew from the pool. At least some open minded captains implement this. My original assumption for TF or TFs (as in more than one) to get after them is pretty close. The difficulty is in protecting dds performing the task as it needs commitment from the CV and that isn't always doable. As a cruiser, I found a good game is possible but hunting SBs is more risky since even a blind BB captain can blap a Cruiser doing ASW in open water. As is this mode should not be implemented in randoms, 90% of the player can't understand map instructions as I quickly realized haha :D

4:32 was my shortest but during summer I had 30 out 50 lasting less than seven mins during a hideous losing streak.

They are powerful but as you said a couple of strategies can minimize their influence in game. It is the (un) equality of the teams imo that hurts gameplay more. Giving sub mode a shot will give you a few good laughs :)

I'd love to get a sub captain, but I wouldn't want to face one. People are learning the darn things too fast and I suspect it is cuz they are many players really loving them, much as I love my ships I guess or everyone else and when you love something you get really good at it fast :o

well they had some underperformers too, but a good strong core far superior to yours which was 2-3 ships doing something. Highlight the dd division you guys sported that flew under the radar :)

I freely confess here I gave up on the mode and try to sink subs

They don't like the pace, but there are not enough modern games (decent at least) for them to sunk their teeth into and some of my friends say that Wows while arcady has really beautiful ships. As for the gameplay, man I had 2 games where the last 3 reds were subs. It was a pain to find them, and even more difficult to sink them. One we lost, one we won on points as they can't keep a cap or idk, I really haven't grasped the details as and this is to WG, I CAN"T TEST THE DAMN THING OR COUNTER IT, IF I DON"T HAVE IT !
