and it happened again, a couple of wins with decent teams and bang 3 unicum teams against utter '' in a row. I stopped playing immediately. One of the teams was so '' that we even had a team kill (but the old fashioned way), when one member of team hit another, who then proceeded swiftly to torp and kill him in retaliation turning red. We were ahead at the time in points and ships (6 to 4) but hard as we tried we couldn't recover as the rest of the team dissolved after that. The other two games were simply cases of superior skill against a team with 2 good players (we finished with 1k points roughly in a loss) and all others below 400. I know if I wait a bit, it will cool down and then I can proceed to play without prob and if that sounds crazy then you are prob right but lots of people think and do this. You can't beat the mm if its out to get you :D ps: per usual u dont have to take this too serious

Fps drops is a real prob, and people have given clear pointers as to when it happens (multiple torps, multiple events on screen, CV presence in game, constant lag and drop after 3-4 games etc) so I like to believe wg knows it and looks to fix it. I can't fathom it hasn't gotten to their attention as it is a regular post here, on reddit and some other forums.

I would suggest playing a BB. Try to keep calm when game starts and don't rush oh and play some co op to learn the ship first. Maybe do some co ops and then play one random to see what translates and what not. Shooting is a matter of instinct to realize where the enemy is heading and how fast, pick the broadside targets first as are easier and work them on co op until you learn the tricks. You will get better with every game you play and slowly see your hits increase, but don't expect perfect results too soon. Learn good spots to park on the maps and hide until you feel more sure of yourself and don't risk exposing the ship to danger too soon, when the teams lose ships the game opens up but this won't translate for every game as it is often an one sided slaughter through no fault of you. To stay alive it's better to put ships between you and the enemy, until you figure out how to use terrain. Ah and remember some ships (and guns) are way better than others.

I rarely switch ammo when I see a dd, so its AP for me. I'm also in the camp that believes that if they can sink me with HE I should be able to cut them in half or cause flooding with AP.

Winning plays should be rewarded somehow. It's not illogical or too much to ask. I can understand what he's trying to say.

Previous time I commented in similar thread, I got dragged into an argument mostly through my fault. Won't do it again. But I will add my own observations. Every time I have a good run of games, the algorithms of the mm (which I have no idea how it works but since its manmade then there's a way and a reason, which I won't divulge since its obvious) 'arrange' a series of games in a row (can be even as many as 10 or 20 but no less than five) that you play with literally the most 'carefree' of teamates against a team of unicums. I had games I faced 14k, 15k, 4 11k, and a good amount of 8k's players all in same team, all with winrates in the sixties, 11 times in a row (I quit there) against my team of well... not so dedicated players with one or two exceptions. We always ended up (the exceptions) fighting bitterly a lost battle after the whole team melts doing 'nice' things against very experienced, 19 point captained yamamoto's (or the like) players in a tier 7 game. The amount of 'coloured' gunfire i received at one point (in a tier 7 game) made my screen look like a mutated rainbow. Is this tin foil hat logic? Maybe. But Im not stupid, i can read a roster after the game and make my own judgement of what happened, as you have. In a game where a team gets the noobs and the other the unicums its not difficult to predict the winner and perhaps even normal, but when it happens as I described (when you are in the middle of a good run and it is prolonged) then it smells fishy. Is it a way to keep the average players low in winrate and please a minority? I dont know, probably not but it is what a lot of us think but can't voice due to the amount of abuse we receive. Not on these forums, since here everything is kept clean and people probably aren't even aware of this. Btw, the playerbase is wierd indeed. After smelling a rat (a series of slaughter mm's as i call them after a unicum run of games) I switched quickly to co op to avoid getting my nerves tested. So in this game ( a co op tier 7 with a Lyon) two players bummed each other at start (not a surprise) and then proceed to throw all manners of abuse at each other, it devolved into a shooting match in the middle of the game with one killing the other and then exploding, all in front of the rest of the team that watched dumbfounded and bewildered. I mostly agree, while not as strongly, winrate I think gives an idea of yr average skill to a point, but lots of other things factor in as you say, (ships, when were the majority of yr good games were played, if you team up a lot, and plain old luck in mm). I started playing dds right before the patch and I was decent despite not having played wot or any other game by wg, then i was awful despite obviously improving as the CV rework wasnt friendly at all, switched to bbs and Im doing better (obviously) but my wr reflects my earlier misgivings. Anyway to the point, I think I impact games more some times and some others not so much without doing something radically different. I mean I feel it is not in my hands. I react to the team's movements or plans (lol) and try to adapt but they just die around you too fast. At first I tried to help (dying in the process- dd mentality) but now I try to stay alive as I have better results that way and thats the naked truth. Of course there are times when nothing can be done clearly and not through lack of effort, for example this morning in a 4 dd per side game in a Lyon (uptiered with IXs), we lost all in 3 mins and the enemy none, I had a good game 3 kills n 125k dmg by my standards but didnt really forced a win, whole team tried tbh but we just couldn't outspot the other team in the end. We died slowly to a hail of many torps. It counts as a loss.

My games usually run smooth-ish for the first mins also but if the game lasts, which sometimes happens lol, longer then the fps dragon appears :)

The week before that I lost my cool trying to will (or push) an unwilling team to win. I got derailed, mostly seeing my hard earned improvement going down the drain and devolved into a mess of a human being. I also got banned and due to this I re-learned to play without saying anything than the basic stuff uncharacteristically sugary for my likes (like we have no people on this flank can someone come and help plz? or there's a dd capping our base and we will lose if the closest ships dont fire if they find it possible etc) which also earned me again plenty of downvotes and reports. The result? Well i just lost the games and despite how much I tried silently to help grab a win (or save keep a sure win from slipping our fingers) I just couldnt in some cases. So I dont know what the average player is supposed to do, other than accept it and div up or just move along taking the losses. Problem is, they count so if you add the games you dont play that well cuz yr cat died or something they create a minus in yr stats, but hey we shouldnt care I suppose since we are average and bound to remain so forever. I'm just kidding

Huge fps drops the longer the game progresses, it looks a lot like a memory leak, but i cant be sure. It comes and then goes, it is also related to the known issues (AA firing, CV presence, plane sounds off, multiple guns firing). Aiming is getting messed up due to this, to the point its just guesswork or firing fast as you can to beat the next fps drop, I tinkered with the setting without luck. It could be lag also as many reported but I always had good connection, the game appears too heavy when it shouldnt and my guess it is animations and sound related or bad memory appropriation. I know that's a lot of things :)

Im trying to maintain my sanity but i cant. I got stuck in zoom mode and couldnt get out. I was having a good game, but the time I was killed, since well I couldnt get out of zoom mode and the screen had stuck there my nerves were a wreck. I m very dissapointed and feeling cheated rn. Im trying really hard to keep my spirits up but this is clearly hurting me. Camera stuck at zoom mode, nothing worked, game ended everything was fine, I really dont know what to say. correction: everything was not fine. A loading icon appeared when exited battle and I had to restart

Nothing. And the fix didnt fix anything. Actually not true. It did got rid of some super annoying sounds. IT STILL LAGS when guns fire, when AA opens up, when CVS are in game, TOWARDS THE END OF BATTLES (this I dont get at all) and many other causes OF HUGE FPS drops out of nowhere. Im on an AMD machine so maybe its that but I dont think so.

Is it AMD related?

Sound is better... but it now LAGS WORSE THAN BEFORE. FPS DROPS TOWARDS END OF GAMES AS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!! plz attempt to fix this, the game is almost unplayable.

Wouldnt you be angry if your time and money was wasted? Im not so rich as to not mind and my time is limited. But thank you for pointing out my temperament problem. Trying to work on my outbursts.

WG banned me from chat for wanting to win and calling out the idiocy of people killing my time and game and maybe it was the right thing to do, people have a right to lose and make me lose games as much as I have winning, but won't address the spreading of misinformation here and our right to be able to use our prem time and not get shafted for no reason, on top of everything else.

I wrote about it, people chose to be smart instead of looking on the problem. Valuable prem time is wasted for no good reason. This is getting worse and worse every day.

Well I got banned from chat for complaining today, so Im giving up on this community. You cant promote teamplay when everyone does what he wants, it just cant happen. Also pretending, like we all do in this thread, that the mistakes of others cant ruin our (personal) game is hypocrisy and I will stop indulging this fallacy. It is not fair to the newer players. I will also not mention the guy responsible for my ban because it is not polite, as much as I want to.
