It increases the attack power of your fighter plane if it is facing higher tier bombers, torpedo planes or fighters. As far as BoS in concerned, you will have to excuse my ignorance. What is BoS? Ok I found out what it is !! LOL - True, but I opted for a bit more HP. I have finished games with less than 200.
