I think Nicholas is better

belated answer from my side. I think this is a remote possibility. And I will admit that this has never crossed my mind.

@Lady_godiva_s Dear Ms. Yianna, may I kindly suggest you post a replay and I am sure the kind gentlemen of this forum will give you precious feedback. Trust me this will better your game and most probably you will not feel the urge to vent your frustration anymore. Regards Saltface

@Milan_G_ I always look at the after battle table. If I am first on my team and we have lost: I wonder what I did wrong and we lost. Because, if I have so many points and we did not win, this means in my book that what I did was XP productive but not WIN oriented. And this game is about wining. Not about scoring. So I lose and am first = I played bad wrong. (most of the times) One more thought, From what I read in this thread, WR is either an indication of skill or an indication of luck. Therefore, I don't want low WR players on my team. Either they are bad or they are unlucky. In both cases we will lose.

We just see it from different point of view. He went faster than Lewis 5 times before he found his limit. Is that a common ground between us? I am not a lunatic LOL (despite what bad mouths say) I do understand the physical limit. As I stated "philosophically" I don't like to have limits. I strive to better myself every next time. -
I know. I know first hand. Remember? you are one of those guys that lost time and effort to teach me how to play. But...the accomplished players of the game should not go out as elitists. It is bad for the game. I had to make you say it. LOL LOL Well...the situation is even worse. Even I feel a constant face palm playing high tiers. And now that the New Orleans is on sale !! I have seen miracles LOL LOL So, yes, the situation is bad if I the average player is on a constant face palm. WG needs to find a way to make money so that the game becomes healthy again.

I just can't leave a cap uncontested. Even if I delay the reds from getting it my team saves points. As a DD in the current meta caps are hard to get but they are decisive to the outcome of the game. Take it and keep it. Have the points run. I think having more than 33% contribution to capture is one of the best indices that a DD is useful. Bad and indifferent player. This player will never become average. Actually they are not a player. They are dead weight. An average player is conscious about the game he is playing and tries to evolve. Has a limited understanding due to lack of experience (not lack of intelligence) but as time goes by he develops and eventually he will become a good player. Our game has depth and is complex. You don't become good from one day to another.

I am an average player. Please, don't underestimate me.

Lets agree to disagree on this one. Don't take me wrong here. I am not a proponent of the theory that all human beings are the same. We are not (which implies that I am a human LOL despite the rumors). And yes, some are better than others. But, philosophically you must not accept limits. And don't start with asking me to run faster than Carl Luis. LOL I can't. There are physical limits. I think you got the message. -

There is a statistical limit that is due to the randomness of the game but, you as a player have no limit. It is just a question of dedication, methodical study and reflection. -
Ok let’s solve this once and for ever LOL those that believe that WR is not important will make a team of 46 to 52 % WR And the other side that accepts WR as a valid indicator will make a team 50 to 56 WR 10 T5 games in training room 4 DD 4 Cruisers 4 Battleships each team picks what they want i would bet high WR team gets 7 out of 10 minimum note: you must have noticed the small difference - only 4 points - if this works then it is definite proof

Not opening the PC and going to the beach - Indian Ocean See you this evening -
9k games are a big sample. i think that we can say that this player is below average. Just do the numbers, this player has lost 720 games more than what he won.
-
WR is a safe indicator after many games. Luck evens out after a large number of battles. A large sample size is required for statistics to be significant. Being top player could say a few things about the player but not conclusive. PR is also a good indicator but it is skewed in favor of damage and kills. If you want to assess a player you need to look all the available information. And there is lots of it. However, someone that has 60% WR is better than someone that has 40% WR. That is a safe bet. Now, someone with 50% is not necessarily better than someone with 49%.

I wouldn't agree. If the player base is getting worse (this is not something I subscribe to - I don't have the data to draw conclusions) then a higher degree of randomness is injected into the results. As one player is only 1/12 of the team force then a higher degree of randomness could have negative effect on ones play. Theoretically this should be evened out on the long-term. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

@Pandafaust, your team was better and you played well. Well deserved win. And yes, they got surprised LOL but I guess...it will take time for this to become the customary conversation LOL Yeah, yeah,... I know I am over-optimistic. -

Oh my!! The OP scares me. Only 7 posts and 308 battles since July 3 and...what an excellent usage of the forum colloquial and what a high perception and analytical skills. A unicum in the making I guess.

I don't think so since the Richelieu is 16 Km away and his torpedoes have a 10.5 range if he runs the upgraded ones. I don't know what is worse. To launch at a DD with DW (maybe muscle memory? if we want to find an excuse, like an instinctive reaction) or launch at a ship that is clearly way out of range.

True, but I knew from start that the Chung Mu was weak and I knew he couldn't torp me in my smoke if it came to that. I wows numbered him. But I am used to this. Very few players support their DDs. In those rare cases I spend all my compliments and I spam the chat with thank you's.

I love T5, 1/3rd of my battles are T5. And it is fun. But, lol, I 'm trying out the Benham and I can't do it in T5. One more game before I do my 50th. On a more serious note, that player is on someones team. Its ok if there are 4 DDs on each side. OK you lost one. But, this was 1 DD per team. I was sorry for the red team.

Well,.... I play with 24-30 fps and 107 ping. Is it so important? I would appreciate better frame rate and a better ping but two things must happen. First they must bring fiber where I live...while I am still alive LOL and second I need to buy a new PC.
