Please don't buy the Puerto Rico

As I hear there are some people investigating already and getting all documentation for a proper lawsuit... -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet

One word: PATHETIC. If I had to use two words, you know what they would be. -
Please don't buy the Puerto Rico
Afghanicus replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
You're probably joking but I will really destroy or at least try to destroy any PR I see, no matter if it's on my team or not. I don't care about being pink. -
1 vs 1 with no class restrictions or anything is an utter joke. Not in the right time IMHO.

1h of downtime? Are you sure? I've experienced problems most of the day. Flambass for example lost a couple of hours during his insane grind yesterday of about 12 hours straight I believe. It was definitely not "1h downtime". It was much more than that and some people are still experiencing problems. Apart from the compensation (some doubloons change and premium day/s most probably) they should extend the event as well even though that would go against their calculations...

Won Coop Game in Tier 10 - no result, no snowflake
Afghanicus replied to Starchy_Tuber's topic in Archive
What!?? I don't see any T10 ships and Santa crates are obtained ONLY with T10 ships. What about reading the article or any other source of information before posting in public? -
Everything is doable in co-op. You just have to pay attention to the class needed to complete the mission. And on later directives on the nation and tier as well. They just hide it from the 'simple view' in order to trick you so you have to click on a mission to see details (before it was shown right away). I did the same mistake yesterday setting fires with Smolensk and wondering why my "Pyrotechnic" mission is stuck and the counter not moving. WG did all possible to screw all players and seems like they did a great job at that, I don't see how they could make it any worse.

Probably nothing. They will try to ignore all this utter mess until it's over and then estimate the damage done and if it was worth it or not. I believe there will be irreparable damage done to the reputation and trust but I guess they are used to that already. -
Nobody has a problem with WG wanting money, that's absolutely normal. People have problem with the way they are trying to get those profits. Plenty of people are happy with buying premium time, getting a few premium ships etc. Basically nobody is happy with the loot box system but as long as there are stupid people overpaying for $hit, they will continue doing it. Not a single player will be happy with this event. Yeah, there are whales who will spend 200-250 euros on PR even tho she is not worth anywhere near that. (there are players who own her already). So the question for WG is... is a few thousand euros (peanuts for them) worth having the whole community bashing you for days and losing so much reputation and trust? I'd say definitely NO but I guess the Russian spreadsheets tell a different story.

New Year Gifts and Rewards: Your One-Stop Guide

Well, getting Benham (which I obtained for fee) and Puerto Rico is not comparable at all. Not only because of the amount of grind required (or money if you don't have the time) but because of the way the event has been laid out. As you said, with Benham you could exactly see how much time you need playing, how many daily missions you have to complete and then how much you have to pay at the end to compensate for the days you didn't play. All clear and transparent. With Puerto Rico is a whole other story - let's make it as vague as possible so that the players have no idea how much time they need to invest in this. Let's force them to use a bunch of spreadsheets which will be an approximation of the ones we have. Let's make the whole event a mystery and offer a bunch of 'shortcuts' for doubloons, 24k at the beginning and another 35k at the end. Yeah, that will work. I hope WG is happy with the few people that spent over 200 euros on PR at the expense of screwing the rest of the playerbase. -

You can't be serious. That's the pinnacle of their plan for this event anyways. Get you to spend doubloons on boosters (the first one being the cheapest one as in all addictive scenarios) and then when you're getting close to the deadline and not near finishing building the PR, you're left with 2 options: 1. Accept you wasted all that time and money on something you won't even get 2. Paying up xx,xxx doubloons to obtain her because you don't want to go on with the fact that you wasted so much time and money And their spreadsheets say that people will fall for the 2nd option because of... humans and their gambling nature. -
Look, I'm sure none of us have anything against any of you specifically. Well, except Sub_Octavian who went overboard. Heavily. But you can't say you didn't expect this response from the playerbase. Not you, not anyone at WG. Because you had the numbers before any of us and you could easily see how insane all of this is. I cannot and will not accept that "your intentions were good" and this was not something you saw coming.
-
You must have no clue how much money they make. We're talking MILLIONS of green dollars annually (yeah, green bills are loved in comrade Russia as well) from all the premium time, premium ships, bundles, loot boxes etc. So the profit is not an issue, it's the greed of the ones in charge. They want more and more, no matter what. Once they realize they are losing players, including the ones that are supporting their game it will be too late... and guess what - I won't be sorry for their failure because this is not the way to treat your players. Especially not on Christmas/New Year.

Nice choice of post to reply at... Good job, once again. I'm speechless. (no need for tagging, you see majority of posts, same like on streams... yet you choose the ignore the 99% of it like that makes it any better)

Once their content becomes completely useless. Each time they need more and more time to issue the few prizes you get from the PTS which is becoming yet another grind. For nothing.

Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yeah, we were going different paths in the discussions. It's better now :) Nevertheless, the missions are far from insane and I can't grasp how did they come up with those numbers. Since you've seen them... what do you think about them? -
PSA - 0.8.11 - Disconnect back to login screen fix
Afghanicus replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in News & Announcements
Do the cookies from WG's a$$ taste nice? What a cynical comment from an Alpha tester. Especially having in mind the insane speed required to finish the directives and then wasting a whole day (and more) due to server problems. -
Talking about the combat missions themselves, besides their total insanity, it's worth noting what was pointed on Flamu's video as well and that's the sneaky way that WG chose what nation and class you need to complete certain missions and therefore removing any synergy that was present in all previous events. So they tried to make the grind as impossible as it can possibly get for an average ship that's not worth 10% of the required time and/or money. Shame on you WG, shame on you!

Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Buying is not something F2P does. Besides that, have you seen the insane missions needed to get to half the construction? Have you seen the insane numbers needed to complete each one? Have you noticed how WG intentionally screwed up the synergy of the missions so you cannot complete more than one at a time? It's obvious what they tried to do but it's back-lashing on them. HARD. (very deserved though) -

Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Oh really? Can you explain me how on earth can some F2P can even attempt completing a fraction of this event? Have you seen the numbers needed? More than grinding several lines. It's easier to get Ohio than Puerto Rico Well, there will always be whales overpaying for everything. Those are the guys WG focuses on, while they screw the rest of the playerbase which is like 99.x%. -
Sub_Octavian is having a terrible episode for the last 2 days or so. Besides yelling and spitting in the face of all players, he is also telling utter lies like getting Gorizia will be easier than getting PEF was even tho it's about 5x harder. Total fiasco.
-
Buddy, even CCs will struggle A LOT to complete the directives. Playing A LOT in the middle of the holidays. What a gift from WG, huh? As for you and me... we will struggle A LOT even for Gorizia, PayTo Rico is something I wouldn't be able to obtain even if the missions would be 10x easier. (removing one zero at the end from each one).
-
Oh really? Raise the hand who is that naive to swallow that BS. P.S. The stream video has nearly 10x more dislikes than likes. Wonder if that one will be removed as well because of "bad timing".

A comparison between the grinds for Prinz Eitel Friedrich & Gorizia.
Afghanicus replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
You would think that WG has that table and many more and that will make some basic calculations in order to get players to spend some time o the game over the holidays but instead they want you to stay over 5-6 hours, every day, for the whole month. Somebody went really overboard this time with the insane grind planning and I'm pretty sure they are regretting it already.
