I don't think most of them will even know how to play it. We've seen players with 100 battles buying the Puerto Rico for 200 euros or whatever the cost for 59k doubloons is. You think they will ever notice that Puerto Rico is nothing special? That Alaska is overall a better ship? That they basically wasted that money when they could have bought many more interesting ships? That they are encouraging WG to continue doing this insane things? Nah, those whales don't care about anything and WG loves them.

Seems like you're missing out the fact that you can EASILY get Puerto Rico, as long as you pay 200 euros or whatever the cost for 59k doubloons is. You don't have to do anything at all, not a single battle during the whole event and you still have the Puerto Rico. I call that an easy T10 handout. Bloody expensive one but as easy as it can get - doing nothing, just paying up the WG's insane price.

For someone who buys doubloons anyways, Gorizia is definitely worth buying upfront. Others (like myself) would question if she is worth the money (about 30 euros, is it?) or worth the grind... I'll play casually and if I get her by the end of the event (I guess I should) then fine but she is not my ticket to getting Puerto Rico or anything like that, I already discarded that failed ship.

Normally I'd say nobody as you need to complete at least 6 missions from each of the 7 directives (42 in total) and most of them are a hell of a grind. However, account sharing is a thing and we've already seen that bots are a thing as well so anything is possible. That being said, I don't expect to see a sane person, not using bots or sharing the account on there. Not even close.

Well, unfortunately the PR disaster will negatively influence the donations to the charity. We can stop talking about it but it's a fact difficult to ignore. Again - unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure they will be issuing refunds as long as they are requested before the construction commences. We might even see some PSA regarding that. I believe, after the $hitstorm that is still going on, they cannot afford to make players even more angry and start leaving the game for good. Because then the ones who are filling their pockets would be leaving and that's more important than anything else for them.

Of course the chances on getting a SC and getting anything from any container is controlled by an algorithm set by WG staff. I'm pretty sure they are not denying that, it would be foolish. They just don't want to discuss anything about the algorithm and drop chances. It's quite noticeable that the chances have decreased over time and now from SCs for example you get much more useless rewards than it used to be in the past.

She eats citadels like crazy though. Just scored 5 citadels on her with Zara.

It's cheaper because the rate of obtaining anything useful dropped significantly. No, I cannot prove it as WG does not release any information regarding that but from personal experience and experience of others (including the ones on the forum) all boxes are simply giving worse rewards lately. Irrelevant here but I got 4 SCs last week (just now doing the US campaign) and all I got were mediocre camos and mediocre flags. I remember last year I was getting much better rewards from SCs, every time. So this is basically a worse deal presented in a way that looks like it's better than last years. Don't be fooled, we've seen how much we should trust WG.

Here it is... If it's there, they probably plan to introduce it soon as a perma camo, for doubloons.

It's officially called "SUNK COST FALLACY" and WG knows the topic very well. They've been (ab)using it for quite some time already and they are pushing it harder and harder each time.

Remove the "mercy rule" on co-op battles, please. Asking for the 1000th time and being ignored just as many times. Or at least give as a reason why you're refusing to implement this easy fix that would solve most of the co-op problems people complain all that time. Thank you.

What you're saying is quite irrelevant in this case IMHO. Doesn't really matter if it's something mandatory or optional. Not in this situation. It's like advertising a cleaning product with claims that will remove all rust in less than 10 seconds. You don't have to buy the product. But it's still "false advertising" and still against the law in most countries. WG advertised falsely the whole event, from "Gorizia is an easier grind the PEF" to "Puerto Rico can be obtained for free just by playing regularly" and many other things in between. Again, I'm no lawyer but I'm sure they crossed the line many times regarding "false advertising" and "gambling practices" as well, especially having the PEGI 7 rating which is insane if you ask me.

This gotta be the worst apology I've seen in a long time and the worst PR handling this year. "We're sorry for being assholes, here's what you should buy to feel better. We won't do this bull$hit again (this year). Enjoy the holidays!"

It definitely makes sense to get her asap. However, I'm planning to boycott WG and probably won't spend anything to promote their insane directives and the grind for Gorizia and Puerto Rico.

Not sure where you're looking at but there are 2 sets of missions for Gorizia. The most important ones are from the directive and there are about 3 missions exclusively for Gorizia in each of the 7 directives. Then there are 4 chain missions in the "Combat Missions", again - exclusively for Gorizia. Once finished they each bring a researchable T6 ship with 3 points captain.

It's called false advertising and it's against the law in many countries. I'll leave it at that as I'm no lawyer myself and I'm not affiliated to any of that. It's sad to see how far someone needs to go until WG realizes how they are shooting themselves in the knee and destroying their own game.
