I don't think so.... You need some grey cells to see the bigger picture and not everyone has those.
-
Such spreadsheets and tools should be provided by WG, beforehand. But they want everything to be as vague as possible, a mystery that every player needs to waste additional time on. Bunch of ******
-
I got the emblem, didn't see a container yet.

You're using mods. Remove them and try again. P.S. This is a forum section for the PTS which ended 2-3 weeks ago.
-
As I said on the previous page.... there were better ways to do it.
-
@aboomination Buddy, nobody cares. Not sure what you're trying to achieve by telling us how much time you're wasting on the grind and by using insults when nobody insulted you. I don't think you have much time for the forums so maybe stick to your grind, nobody cares about your imaginary PR.

[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
Afghanicus replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
I believe what you see in "real time" is just a representation, not the exact amount of points you get per 1-2 seconds or whatever the 'refresh interval' is. If you spend just 10 seconds looking at it, you will see that the numbers are all over the place. Even when it says "+5" the number still rises by 6 for example and you will often see that the number goes to let's say 144 and then immediately goes back one to 143 which makes no sense. So take all those numbers with a grain of salt as they don't represent the exact number of points being gained every second. Should they have made it better and more precise? Definitely. Is this intentionally done to be easier for WG rigging? I don't know, maybe... at this point I'd expect the worst from them. Can I prove it? No, it would be very difficult to time the stopwatch by the second or even a minute. I'd have to monitor the progress for a longer period of time and honestly I won't bother with that for sure as I don't give a flying F for this BS event. Here, I made a 5-second representation of what I'm talking about... 1. It starts with 1,409,451 2. +5 brings it to 1,409,457 (which is +6, not +5) 3. +5 brings it to 1,409,462 (which is +5) but then goes back to 1,409,461 (which is actually +4) 4. Then again bringing it to 1,409,467 (which is +6 compared to the last number) As I said... the numbers are all over the place and I believe the less you look at them the better for you. -
0.8.11 PSA: EU server issues compensation - 12/12/2019
Afghanicus replied to Crysantos's topic in News & Announcements
Well, I've never seen so many people complaining about disconnections and problems even accessing the game like in the previous days, since the latest update 0.8.11. Not at the same time, not about the exact same issues. I have opened a ticket and in the ticket I uploaded the replays as well. I believe the ping can be seen in those replays. I even gave your the ID number of the ticket. Since I have a feeling I'm repeating the same thing over and over again without much effect, I'll stop now. Have a nice day. -
Hey, it's better than giving you half of the flag and you have to purchase the the other half with some in-game BS resource.

0.8.11 PSA: EU server issues compensation - 12/12/2019
Afghanicus replied to Crysantos's topic in News & Announcements
Well, have you seen all the players having issues with disconnections after the hotfix was released? So that's just a bunch of people, all having problems with their ISPs? M'kay. I guess I'm just making stuff up as well as all the players who posted in that thread. We're also manipulating the images in Photoshop to make it like there are issues with the server, right? M'kay. "Quickly and respectfully" are 2 adjectives I cannot associate with WG anymore, sorry. Not after all this mess it was created with the worst grind event ever and then PR disasters, one after another. -
Gotta love how fast the 2nd directions is going... Can't image the next ones I'm just playing casually... basically playing with different shells. For SAP, I'm on Amalfi, looking forward to Brindisi. For AP, I'm in Neptune, looking forward to Minotaur. For HE, I'm in Smolensk, trying to get my first captain to 19 points. As for the PR grind... don't give a flying fuk and I don't think I'll finish far by playing casually, mostly on co-op. Cheers to the ones grinding 24/7, who have no time for anything else. My condolences.

Just check the 'Combat Missions'. It's all there. (too lazy to post screenshots when you can easily check it yourself)

Some of us know the prices are from PTS because we were either part of the PTS or saw the videos on YouTube or screenshots on reddit/forum. However, most people have no idea where that price is coming from. One could easily assume that the 1000 doubloons per booster was the intended price and then they made it much more expensive before release. At least that's what I'd think if I didn't know about the PTS. They could have easily changed the values for the purpose of the video. They could have easily changed the value in post-production. They could have put a visible note "prices are from our PTS, will change once it goes live" on the video itself. Or at least they could have blurred it properly. This way, they are just making fools of themselves, once again. And treating us as such as well.

WG, seems like you cannot do ONE thing right in this patch... It's like watching a sinking ship trying to stay afloat. (click on the image for a full-size image with better details)

They did try. Failed once again IMHO.

The love is growing...

0.8.11 PSA: EU server issues compensation - 12/12/2019
Afghanicus replied to Crysantos's topic in News & Announcements
@Crysantos Last Thursday? Are you sure it was not other days as well? I've had problems every day since the release of the patch and obviously I'm not alone. Just check the thread that should be monitored by WG staff as an important one... Basically 3 pages of people complaining about disconnections and problems with the server. And that's only on that thread, I can link many more threads and posts about the same issue with disconnections and server instability. I even opened a ticket (ID 121119512) but seems like the guys from the customer support also think I'm an idiot and try to convince me the problem is on my end wasting my time with actions like connection checks etc. I'm quite sick of being treated this way by WG staff (including the customer support guys)! -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
Afghanicus replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
Don't feel bad, happened to many. They intentionally made it almost impossible to calculate because it depends on so many factors (how many boosters you use, when do you use them etc.) I'm not arguing the value of the ship. For some players it seems to be valued properly at 59k doubloons because we've seen players pay that much for it. The rest would probably pay half of that but not more. But the way it's designed is a typical "sunk cost fallacy". You buy 1/2/3 premium boosters in hopes you will grind the normal boosters (bought with shipbuilding tokens) and then when you realize the grind is insane and you cannot do it because you have... well... A LIFE.. then you don't want to throw those doubloons you spend on premium boosters and all the time wasted so you pay whatever WG asks from you and that will for sure be (significantly) more than you'd pay for PR in the first place. Those scammy tactics are never welcome and the only way to let them know it's not okay is to hold our wallets and minimize the financial support to WG. -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
Afghanicus replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
If you ask me... if they are willing to really "do their best" it should be possible to make a refund, as long as it's requested before the construction commences. As for the price... I'm willing to invest roughly 0 doubloons in PR so I don't really care how they rigged it TBH. The whole event has been designed to insult and make mad all player base at the cost of overselling some Puerto Ricos. I doubt it will be worth for them because their reputation hit bottom with this event and not a single player appreciates what they did and what they are still doing. I believe that paying anything for this event will just encourage them to repeat this whole BS again in the future. Until players realize that, there won't be any significant changes around here. -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
Afghanicus replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
@MrConway did mention that a ticket should be made and then will "do their best" to help. Even though I bet they are "doing their best" to calm the $hitstorm but seems like they are just digging a bigger hole for them. Here's the post in question... -
So much love... You're consistently making it worse and worse. Not a single attention to any complain. Not a single constructive explanation. Not a single proper apology. Just ignoring completely all feedback from your entire community and treating us like disabled hamsters.
-
Like this? Please report it here: https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/127942-0811-general-feedback/?page=3 EDIT: I see you already did. Not like they give a $hit though.
-
As I said... I'm not 100% sure they are active now. I believe I met a few the other day... Today I played just a couple of battles and didn't notice anything unusual (didn't really pay much attention TBH). But they were used A LOT in the past and as someone said - WG has some kind of mechanisms specifically against them so I believe that's more than enough proof that bots existed. And if they existed in the past it's very likely they exist in the present and will exist in the future, especially when players find a good use for them like the current insane Gorizia/PR grind.
-
The fix was only for the disconnections in battle but even for that didn't work for many players, myself included. As for the other bugs... when it comes "on the to-do list"
-
Read it til the end...
