Claim Your Compensation Now! [EU Server Issue]
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Customer support also "talks", via useless templates completely irrelevant to the issue, while ignoring everything that a customer has written. Yeah, I prefer the walls, at least they don't insult your intelligence. -
Claim Your Compensation Now! [EU Server Issue]
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Many of us actually. But WG refuses to acknowledge the problem no matter what. I've tried putting some sense into them, I really did but unfortunately it didn't work. It's basically like talking to a wall. I'm saying there is a problem of me getting disconnected and they say it's my connection, not them. I tell them that I'm not the only one and that many players are getting disconnected AT THE VERY SAME TIME making it obvious where the problem is and then they ignore that fact and reply with a new (or old) useless template. Yeah, what a waste of time that customer support is. -
I was just going to ask you why don't we have replays for the PTS as it would be much easier to report those things. Then before asking, I checked the PTS folder and actually found the "replays" folder with all replies. However, I was unable to open any of them, giving the following error: Obviously, before posting this I tried to find information on WG website and forums and Google overall but found nothing. Is there a way to open those files and if so how? Because if I'd be able to open them, I could show you the unrealistic lighting I've encountered straight away. P.S. When I try to open a replay I get a critical error... This is when trying to open via 'Game Client' (which is a default app) but I did try with the live server app and the public test app as well but same result. Is there a way to watch a replay from the PTS or not? @YabbaCoe

Server unavailable, disconnected midgame
Afghanicus replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
Now some of you know how it has been for me for the last month or so. -
@YabbaCoe needs feedback? Seems like there has been again changes in the lighting and again I'm not sure it's for the better. It's what I've been telling to @Sehales and he acted surprised. When everyone else confirmed that, he went quiet and didn't comment anything further. I'll provide you with screenshots next time I see it but I can tell you that from one game that I've played the lighting was too harsh and again - unrealistic. To be more precise... the reflection of the sun onto the ship was way too bright overexposing the whole parts of the ship as I move my camera around. The unrealistic part? There was no sun at all. It was overcast and there was nowhere even bright spots on the sky let alone the sun itself. But somehow a harsh sunlight was hitting the ship in a very weird and ugly way. I forgot to take screenshots but I'll make sure I do next time I encounter this and will post here.

Have you read any of the posts before yours? You might want to.

British Cruisers Part 1 Random bundles
Afghanicus replied to Munchboii's topic in General Discussion
"Too random" doesn't exist. It's random or it's not. What makes the difference is the chances of a drop with a ship. Those are set by WG and currently they are quite low. Based on my experience I'd say extremely low. -
Well, in Aegis I played around 20-30 battles last week and I lost only one (no stars at all). Most battle ended with 5/5, some 4/5 and just a few 3/5 (with one 0/5 as mentioned). Newport.. I haven't played that many battles overall and just a few today. Score from today: 0/0 stars from all battles played and overall - best result: 3/5 stars :) So I guess I'm the last player to give any advice on Newport but it definitely seems more difficult than any other op I've played. As I mentioned.. in Aegis even when I have total morons in the team I find it quite easy to get at least 3/5 stars. In Newport it seems that even with half-decent players we're not even close to completing the mission at all and always fail miserably.
-
Yes, significantly more difficult than any other. I believe the Aegis is the easiest one but the rest aren't much more difficult. Except "Naval Station..." which is by far the most difficult one.

Wonderful. -
WG doesn't have money for a proper DDoS protection.

1st day of PTS wasted, thanks to WG's EU server issues.

Public Test of Update 0.9.1: Round 2

You can't even play on live server due to server issues, let alone on the PTS. -
Claim Your Compensation Now! [EU Server Issue]
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Another day of premium with a couple of useless flags incoming. When they have such major issues with the servers for so long, at least they should give out doubloons to the ones that were unable to play instead of insulting compensations they are giving. -

Seems like you're having more and more issues with the servers and still giving insulting compensations like 1 day of premium and a couple of useless flags. -

Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
They will give us another day of premium, like that solves any issue. It's quite insulting IMHO. -
While your post might be funny for some, it might also be discriminating and insulting for others. Just saying.

Nobody cares about Karma. It exists so that we can repeat the same every week or so in a newly opened thread about... well, Karma.
-
I couldn't have said it better myself, at least not in that nice tone. Still, WG has proven many times they don't care about common sense and our feedback so they will only change things when they are forced to.
-
That's not how RNG works, especially not WG RNG. Also, I don't think you opened 15 containers. If I'm not wrong, 12 is the maximum of containers that were available til now and that's if you finished both directives and completed all daily missions.

Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
You're correct but I believe you missed his point which was ironically pointing out how every loot box in WOWs has become full RNG except these ones (WG compensation crate) which always come with 1d of premium and a couple of flags. -
[PSA] An apology for poor event presentation and a bit of spreadsheet
Afghanicus replied to Sehales's topic in News & Announcements
Exactly. If I was any better, I'd dig into the code and remove the Dockyard completely. It's quite distracting and I don't give a F about it. WG's desperate moves to milk doubloons from players won't work on me. -
Request for hands-down pants down honesty: PR entirely for free - how many?
Afghanicus replied to HentaiSquirrel's topic in Archive
Yeah, you're right. Well, I guess we'll never know then. WG will never release that information. -
Request for hands-down pants down honesty: PR entirely for free - how many?
Afghanicus replied to HentaiSquirrel's topic in Archive
Hmmmmm, alright... you are correct about that - 154 is the number of players who finished the 7th directive, with golden boosters or not. However, I'm thinking from a different perspective (which might be wrong) that whoever finished the 7th directive would have enough tokens to complete the PR for free, wouldn't he? If some of them wasted doubloons on premium boosters is not so relevant as they would have finished her even without them. -
And you actually think that was a good idea!? So you have some naive players dropping doubloons for premium bundles (not me, definitely) and then getting the same ship(s) for regular British tokens... How do you think they feel? Respected and loved by WG or scammed and disappointed? Well, the answer lies in many posts on this thread (and other ones) but just bringing it up so it might get to you because apparently you still think that was a genius idea which I can assure you... it was definitely NOT.
