Yeah, I know the title sucks but I don't have any better at the moment. I'd like to believe I'm tripping right now but I don't do drugs and I don't even drink alcohol so there must be something else. I have a bad feeling something is terribly wrong with WG code. I just accidentally noticed that the special flags from the SC was never added to my assets. In fact, I suspect that the number I obtained was reduced from the number of flags I had before opening the SC. Alright, these are my flags at this very moment... I don't use them often, especially not the 'Special' flags. And since I usually obtain a couple of each, at the same time.. I usually had a pretty close number of each special flag. I might not even noticed anything if I didn't opened 2 SCs yesterday and 1 SC today. Yesterday I got 50x "Basilisk" special signals (besides 50 camos which are irrelevant for this story) and today I got 50x "Dragon" special signals from the SC. Then when I checked (not even sure why), I've noticed that I have less than 100 special flags of each (Basilisk and Dragon) even though I was expecting over 150, closer to 200. I'm 100% sure that I didn't have only 36 "Dragon" special flags and only 47 "Basilisk" flags before opening the SCs but significantly more. I seriously suspect that the game instead of adding 50 flags, took 50 flags away from my assets. So I believe I had 136 "Dragon" flags and then I should have gotten another 50 from the SC, making it 186 (136+50=186) but instead I'm left with 86 "Dragon" flags (136-50=86). I will open a support ticket but the purpose of this thread is to see of anyone else noticed anything similar because this can't be happening to one client only and I find it odd that nobody else noticed anything (even though I noticed by accident and god knows how many times it happened before this). I don't need anyone to agree or disagree, flame WG or me but just write IF you have noticed something odd related to this or in case you notice something the next time you open a SC. P.S. I have just checked each and every ship I have in case I left "auto-resupply" enabled but there isn't a single ship that has any special signal on "auto-resupply" so that's out of the question as well. I'd know that anyways but just checked to be 100% sure. Additionally, I'm pretty confident that I haven't used almost any special flags at all. I say "almost" because I did use just a few "Ouroboros" special flags to get more freeXP from some operation few weeks back. Other than that I probably didn't use more than few flags since I started playing and collecting them.

And what happens once they tweak all LMs and maybe the Moskva's one suck? As it's in WG nature to "improve" things constantly. Nah, definitely not worth for me. Not with the uncertainty of the LMs future. Seems like even WG has no idea what to do with it, they just want to lock it behind a giant wall for now and put "we will see later comrade" method in action.

As I've played at least a dozen of Narai games in the last few days... I've encountered certain players more than once. I obviously cannot name/shame them here but it's quite astonishing to see the same morons doing the same mistakes every single time. I sincerely hope they are kids who are tired of Fortnite or whatever kids play nowadays but if they are grown-ups who enter the ops over and over again without having clue what they are supposed to do or where they failed last time... well, then the whole quality play-base hope are down the drain. If there was any hope left that is.
-
They could have extended it for at least one update more... But I guess that's WG that looks after players and their "positive" experiences. Every player wanted to see the LM disappear from unlocking T10 ships and being locked behind a RB wall that everyone loves so much. Go go WG, you know the best, your spreadsheets are telling you so.

Narai Op. come in 2020 bugged
Afghanicus replied to SEN_SEN_Channel_Portugue's topic in General Discussion
What works fine? The Narai operation? Have you played it? Have you seen the replays posted just recently, definitely after the PR fiasco? The operation is bugged. The same way the other ops are bugged. WG knows very well this. They still chose to ignore it and put it at the end of the list as fantasy ships and lootboxes are way more important than anything else. -
I see more Shchors' and Chapayevs I'll get the Moskva eventually but not the LM. It's not worth 500k freeXP.
-
Well, just had another one... in the middle of Narai op. WG will never fix it. They simply don't give a F about it. Still blaming a single ISP despite so many players from different countries, using different ISPs have problems. Even a 3-year old child wouldn't believe that pile of BS from WG.

How many Early Access British heavy cruisers have you got via "Random Bundles" available through "British Tokens"?
Afghanicus replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
How come? Anyways, all I'm seeing are players that opened all possible bundles and got no ship at all (myself included). If WG launches a patch with the event that's all about an early-access and makes a design in which you get ALL possible tokens and open ALL possible random bundles but still don't get a single ship... (unlike before) then I can easily say that the whole event is terrible, the design flawed and WG sucks. -

Afghanicus replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
@Yedwy Buddy, you can calculate whatever you want but it won't change the fact that until this event there was a finite amount of boxes and therefore a guaranteed reward if you open all of them. During this event there is no such thing (we have UNLIMITED amount of boxes) and therefore there is no guarantee of getting a ship, even if you open all bundles possible (which was close to 30 in total). That's the main point that no math can disproof. -

Well, ARP ships was a completely different event even though they run simultaneously. The ARP ships event is a model and an example of how every event should be - you know exactly what you have to do and what you get for doing that. It's like IFTTT. If you do *this*, you get *that*. Very straight forward and transparent, no hidden RNG, no bloody lootboxes, no random bundles, no any crap of the sort. -

Afghanicus replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Don't be so naive. RNG is one thing, tweaking it the way you want is another. It's not the same giving 22 random bundles and hiding X ships behind them (thus guaranteeing you will get a ship if you open all 22 random bundles) or giving UNLIMITED amount of random bundles (and this having no guarantee of a ship drop, like many players experienced, including me). I hope I don't need to explain any further the obvious BS that WG is doing. -

That's true. But still... if you're making a whole update 0.9.0 around the early-access of a certain line... it would be expected that people who finish the directives and daily missions would get at least a ship or two to test them before the rest of the guys can access them in the next update 0.9.1. You know... before the guys who didn't play at all or got any tokens to open any bundle. That's what grinds my gears. That WG seems to plan these things without using the brain at all. Everyone will have access to these ships in the next update... sure. But the way these events and promoted and advertising is major horseshit and I can never endorse such BS. P.S. Since the chances are so low, why not offering the players the option to get something else for tokens instead of random bundles? Why is WG forcing players to gamble? You see... in the previous events such as this one, the players were able to choose other rewards for tokens such as permanent camos for the Italian cruisers, some flags/camos, premium days etc. In this event you have NO CHOICE but to gamble with the tokens and get their unlimited random bundles crappyness. That's what WG calls "improvements". These events were bad already but they made the so much worse. Compared to last early-access (Italian cruisers), we can notice some changes... 1. The bundles are not numbers and limited, they are unlimited and you're not guaranteed a ship no matter what 2. You cannot track how many bundles you opened or what rewards you obtained. WG hides this intentionally 3. The chances of obtaining a ship are significantly lower. Can never be proven but WG can't deny it either because we all know it's true 4. You have no options to choose for your British tokens. Random unlimited bundles are the only thing you can get. This way WG limits you to exactly get what they want and forces you to gamble, luring you into the premium bundles which are too expensive anyways 5. Besides rewards to choose from, you had a collection to complete.. granting you a legendary captain for the early-access line. No such thing with the RN CA event -
Yeah but my objective is to complete the missions with 5/5 which isn't that difficult at all. But I do notice that many are going only for the dmg and kills, even if that means leaving the convoy exposed and costing them at least a star or two... GM doesn't have hydro IIRC so it's a bit tricky and requires a half-decent player (not coming too close, to have enough time to dodge them once spotted) but yeah... generally a DD can finish the transports by himself without any issues, especially if it has hydro. Hey look, another 5/5... unbelievable... This time with the bloody Yorck (I don't like the ship at all but have to grind it) I made twice the potential of the previous one in a BB (nearly 1 million) and a very easy 5/5 victory.
-
And sometimes... just sometimes... (just finished now) you get a half-decent team that actually knows what to do and follows the chat... Then Narai seems like a piece of cake, too easy actually. If we had twice as many enemies I don't think it would cause us any problems... I did only 164k DMG and only 500k potential but that's because the rest of the players were as good and there was no need for me to carry the battle myself, like most of the times.
-
Well, DDs can be useful, IF they do their job. Which is more difficult than the rest. But since even BBs fail miserably and cruisers fail doing heir objectives pretty much every time... it's not like I expect DDs to do their job properly.
-
Every 2nd game I either lose or get only 2/5. Mostly thanks to cruisers that don't do their job but sometimes even BBs who are total noobs. I find most DDs quite useless. Instead of staying undetected and torping BBs (especially Missouri first and then others later) they engage in a gun fight which they lose or they simply go full ahead and ram in the first BB hat pops up behind the first rock. I'm sure there are some players who are playing for the first time or don't have enough experience but still... so many noobs that have no idea what their job is... it tells you enough about the player-base as a whole.
-
I find Narai one of the easiest operations (unless our convoy goes bananas, thanks to WG's "improved" autopilot) and yet I see players having no idea what they are doing or YOLO-ing and hoping the team will win without them, while they start a battle and YOLO in the next ship. I'm not the master of Narai by any means. In fact, I started playing last time (last month?) but I find it very simple and easy. There is nothing random about it so you know exactly which ship will appear where. The only time certain ships change the course slightly is if there are torps incoming. For transports even an average DD is enough, especially if he has hydro against the one protecting the transport ships. And yet, I see BBs going for the transports and dying like bots. For the CV I usually ask 2 CL to go because most of the time one fails miserably. Again, I see more people dying to the torps of the DD next to the CV than proper clearing of the CV. BBs have a job to kill Missouri asap and then go in front of the convoy and tank dmg while the cruisers shoot HE and drop torps. And yet, by that time many BBs die to DDs' torps or are far behind because they did something that they were not supposed to do (like killing the transports for example or chasing the CV in the corner of the map). Again, I'm no expert but if I do around 250k of dmg and tank around 1.5mil in most games (in a BB) while doing my objectives... I believe I'm doing well, definitely better than most. I could be giving thousands of examples how bad an average Joe plays Narai but there is no point. Whoever is playing it can see it for himself.

How many "Tier X" lines have you reset for the "Research Bureau" purpose thus far?
Afghanicus replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
A total of 0 lines. Having finished only one til recently (IJN cruisers) and now one more (RN cruisers), I don't feel like I'll be even thinking about RB any time soon. -
British Heavy Cruisers - Hall Of Fame - No1 Player has played 1500 co-op battles in 2 weeks (16k+ in 4 months) - Wow!
Afghanicus replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
The best one in fact. That means that even if he is using some bots WG will do absolutely nothing. Why would they? -

Just checked... He has a bit over 30,000 points. The second one has almost 28,000 points. So it's not like he doesn't have competition. GO GO INSANITY!!! -

Afghanicus replied to koliber_1984's topic in General Discussion
Then I don't understand on what bases you formed you question... Floating/sailing is physics and it has been always the same - before WW2 or after WW2. I wrote "floating" because that's the verb used. I could have used "sailing", it wouldn't change a thing. So try harder at being a smartass, that attempt was quite poor. -

Afghanicus replied to koliber_1984's topic in General Discussion
Why? Maybe instead of wondering you should read something about how objects stay afloat and how much heavier objects are floating with no issues nowadays. -
I'm pretty sure they have more than enough but they chose to ignore it and pretend everything is alright or "not so many ppl play ops anyways".. They can check so many threads and posts but if they are too lazy for that, here's the most recent one with some really messed up AI.

Actually... to be precise... The first 2 directives provided 80 tokens each and the last 2 provided 100 tokens each. (80x2 + 100x2 = 160+200 = 360) The daily missions provided 200 in total (if completed both chains every day) = 200 tokens. 360 tokens (from directives) + 200 tokens (from daily missions) = 560 tokens 560 tokens / 20 tokens per random bundle = 28 random bundles. Not sure if there were some additional tokens from the PTS or other sources but that's the count I have. Anyways... based on my own experience and experience from majority of players... this event had the lowest drop chances ever. Most players didn't get any ship from token bundles and that wasn't happening so often in the past (never happened to me as I always got a ship or two from early-access events). But we all know WG will never say "yes, we reducing the chances of ship drops" so there's that.
