Why is Teamkill penalty applied for leaving a game with ONLY bots?
Afghanicus replied to Purnylla's topic in General Discussion
Are you sure it works that way? I leave co-op games all the time (mostly due to disconnections, thanks to WG servers and their inability to find/fix the issue) but I never got a penalty for that. I only get a penalty if I get disconnected at the very beginning and cannot reconnect/re-join until the end of the battle. Or of I do team damage obviously. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London

So out of those 9 you have to complete 4? It's been worse as in at least few missions require you to have a specific ship which you have to buy for cash/doubloons in the Premium shop. That was one of the nice profits WG was pulling during every event. I find it odd that they would change that. And this is just one part of the directives... a lot more is missing apparently. But I won't be searching for the info on the RU side of the world... I'll see it tomorrow, when it hits EU servers. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London

It's doable but some of the missions do seem difficult... This is just my personal opinion on the above. - Get 45 "incapacitations" ribbon (ranked, random, coop), must be done on carriers T6 or above --- Not that hard but it will be a pain for many players that don't play carriers at all and will require like a dozen games for those who don't play CVs regularly - Get 60 "set on fire" or "hits to citadel" ribbons (ranked, random, coop), must be done on battleships T5 or above --- Quite easy, especially since high tiers BBs (Germans come to mind) can YOLO in co-op, go for citadels and set fires with secondaries - Get 60 "set on fire" ribbons (ranked, random, coop), must be done on cruisers T5 or above --- Quite easy. Not as easy as the above but still totally fine. If you have some HE spammer (Smolensk comes to mind first) then it's as easy as the above - Hit enemy ships 50 times with ship torpedos (ranked, random, coop), must be done on destroyers T5 or above --- This is fine as well. It will require more battles than the above ones (in my opinion) but it's not that bad. I play DDs pretty bad but I believe I could get 50 fishes into the hulls of bots in less than a dozen games which is ok. - Receive 30 million HP of potential damage (ranked, random, coop), must be done on ships T5 or above --- Standard grind... T10 BBs at work, YOLO and tank. Not hard at all bu a bit grindy as it will require at least a dozen of great games or twice as many average ones - Earn 30k base xp (ranked, random, coop, clan, scenario), must be done on ships T5 or above --- Another standard grind. Nothing special, take the ship you do best in and grind. Good that it can be done in all game modes. +1 for that - In 1 battle, earn 1.1 million credits (ranked, random), must be done on ships T8 or above --- Well, this requires a lot of flags, a good camo and a great game. This one is definitely hard. Doable but hard. - Win a battle and earn "confederate" achievement (ranked, random), must be done on ships T8 or above --- Reminder that "Confederate" means "Damage at least 6 enemy ships. Damage caused to each ship must exceed 20% of her normal HP." I'd say hard as well. You definitely need a very good game, economic/specials flags are irrelevant here, just pure skill needed. - In 1 battle, cause 180k damage to ships (random only), must be done on ships T8 or above --- Doable for good players. I honestly don't get many games where I do 180k. On a good game (good to my understanding even though that is relative), I mostly do 100-150k DMG. I don't remember if I did 180k ever TBH. This can be probably checked on some of the stats websites but I can't bother with that as I honestly don't care. The thing is that this one is hard as well, probably the hardest one of all listed. At least to me. Just my 2c. -
If I put your analogy into perspective... they are fire-fighters who don't extinguish the fire. Their job is to convince the people on fire that there is no fire and that they are over-reacting. Once they get burned, they bury a body and hope a new fire won't start so soon. I don't do memes, I'm not on Reddit, 9gag or any other platform but here's a quick sketch... (a lot more things could have been added to the fire but that was just on top of my head with PR being the biggest fiasco since the beginning of the game and these 2 being 0.9.1 related)

And WG went silent... as expected... as always. Waiting for the new patch to hit tomorrow and hope this will blow over. Well, news flash... not every player visits the forum so expect a lot of complains via support tickets and other means (there is already a crap storm on Facebook, Reddit etc.) once they find out their favorite operation has been removed. And when they hear the BS reasoning... they will be pissed even more. Sadly, WG is constantly making the players' experience worse for the sake of profit. There is a line though and I wouldn't like WG to cross it because it will affect everyone.

Just bought Donskoi and while upgrading the hull(s) I got confused regarding the 'C hull'. The 'C hull' should obviously be better than the 'B hull', the "AA Defense" is supposed to be better (+15) but apparently I'd have less than half of the AA mounts (-12). Maybe there are less of them but significantly more effective but I guess I cannot see that until I mount them? Or is it a UI bug?

British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yes, for a very short limited time period. You see... I'm currently doing more than one campaign, after many years of their launch. And I'm taking it slow and enjoying them. I can choose which ones I want to focus on and do them the pace I like. There is nothing like that with the new system with the legendary captains. It's just grind grind fast fast and IF you devote every single day of your life to WG during the certain time period, you'll get the captain. If not, you'll have to pay some insane price of 180,000 coal for it. Nobody can tell me that the new system is better, not in any way. And trying to justify it by speaking gibberish doesn't change the fact that the campaign system was better and that all players enjoyed it more. Once again, players are required to read between the lines... which in this case would be: "Campaign system just didn't work well for us. It was a nice idea at the beginning of the game but not profitable in any way. Having time-limited event where players can buy certain things with doubloons, buy premium ships for real money in order to progress faster etc. proves to be a much more profitable system. We don't care about the experience of the player-base. All we care are pure profits and nothing else. That's why you won't be seeing any new campaigns in the future and the existing ones may go away as well in the future. Hugs and kisses, WG." -
I already sad so and even quoted all the threads pointing out Raptor's bugs. It's not the same though. Bugged Narai can get you at least 3 stars, possibly 4 or even 5. Bugged 'Rescue Raptor' gives you ZERO stars. Plain and simple. So again... removing the best working operation with the 'reasoning' that it's bugged and needs fixing is the worst excuse I've heard from WG yet. Anyone with grey cells will have troubles accepting that. Unless WG's spreadsheets say that most players are lacking grey cells in which case I might be in a wrong game. For the ones that don't play much ops or haven't lately, here is a shot remind/explanation regarding the above mentioned 3-5 stars in 'Narai' and 0 stars in 'Rescue Raptor'.

Of course it's not his fault. Nobody ever said it's his fault of fault of any guys that are facing the pissed players due to WG's BS. I've actually clearly said so in another thread. Having said that, CMs are the only guys we can complain to and the only channel between us and those who are making all this BS. We have no access to people making such decisions and therefore cannot tell them anything. People like him are the ones to relay the message back to them as well, so they are aware of how "well" players are "accepting" their decisions. What you're basically saying is that WG's devs are full of S and CMs have to wrap that in a nice package and continue lying and manipulating us because it's their job? Well, I simply don't want to accept that and I'd obviously rather leave than having someone treating me like an idiot. And that's exactly how WG has been treating their players lately. Again - not anyone specifically but the guys sitting at the 'decision-making table'.

Seriously!? It's a lot more user friendly? How so? Do the spreadsheets say so? You guys are hilarious (I mean the ones you're working for and passing their decisions wrapped in gibberish language). Everybody enjoyed (and still enjoy) campaigns and nobody ever said it required "too much clicking and navigating". At least I never heard that nonsense before. As opposed to the time-limited event for getting the new captains which a lot of players hate. Are we talking facts here or everything coming from WG must be Soviet advertising material? -
And once again.... you're repeating the same story that makes no sense at all. While ignoring most of the posts, mine included (even though you were quoted and tagged). Seems like you're ignoring me but I'll 'draw' it once again... You're repeating that you won't do more PvE content, that WG doesn't have the time/resources for PvE and that we should not expect anything new in the PvE department. All that repeated many times. Why is WG then removing the one operation players enjoy the most!? Does that make sense to ANYONE? I don't think so. Just think about it... it's opposite of what would be expected. If WG doesn't have the time to deal with operations then removing the most popular one is the last thing they should do because obviously they won't have the time/resources to fix the operation any time soon. Besides that, I'll repeat that removing Narai (which works the best out of the current operations WG left us with) while keeping other bugged ones such as "Rescue Raptor" (where you can easily fail the operation thanks to WG's auto pilot rework) doesn't make sense at all and seems like you and the others are unable to give an explanation for such nonsense.

A ships has been sunk with a single shell? While being full HP? I'd like to see that.

Update 0.9.1: British Heavy Cruisers Part 2
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Around 300,000 freeXP, huh? -
You're right, you managed to use those 3 minutes better than me. Look, another one - exact same time.... This time I even sank a DD... WOO HOO!

Did anyone receive the t2 premium cruiser Albany recently?
Afghanicus replied to Captain_Newman's topic in General Discussion
I'm also confused about the whole steam / non-steam WOWs. I believe it's the same player-base and the same servers, only accessing the game is different and some other minor things like purchases and apparently rewards. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Harder than ARP event? I can assure you it will be significantly harder than that. For starters.. there will be a lot more missions and based on WG's sneaky language in that event description... the missions won't be easy and will require plenty of ships in port. -
Over 100 forum members voted. How many WG needs to realize that their decisions are opposite of what players want and enjoy playing their game!?

Hang on, I thought the point was to get us to play _more_ mid tiers?
Afghanicus replied to Uglesett's topic in General Discussion
Well, I'll leave you with your optimism then I'm pretty sure the updated UUs will be available for research points only. The only hope is that WG will offer other options of obtaining RB points them instead of resetting the whole lines. But I doubt that. So I will be ignoring completely the whole RB BS as many others. And my opinion about it is on the first page... -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Well, I'll be off for vacation for 4 days so I think my chances are slim to none. WG simply expects everyone to stick to their game every single day. That's why so many players are getting burnout. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
It's similar to the "Gorizia system" (not the same though) If you buy a ship you have the possibility to obtain more tokens. That being said, you can finish all directives and obtain the 1000 tokens even without buying London. You'll just need to finish all directives, most daily missions during the whole event and collect all daily shipments. -

Afghanicus replied to Uglesett's topic in General Discussion
Not sure if there is an article about it. But it's been said by WG staff in the dev blogs and in the dev blog part of the forum as well. -
WG's spreadsheets say that once Narai is removed from operations... the players will be less likely to play operations altogether. The prediction spreadsheets also say that more operations will be removed due to players not playing them. Who would have guessed, huh?
-
3:07? I beat you to it comrade... by 2 seconds but still a more fun game, according the WG spreadsheets.

Update 0.9.1: British Heavy Cruisers Part 2
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Well, I was wondering why the chances of a ship from during the current update were so low (lowest than ever before). Now that we see those ships are needed in order to get more tokens... I kinda understand their system. Most of the players will have to buy a specific ship from the premium store in order to obtain those extra tokens and be able to play more relaxed. Gorizia style. I just wished they were at least a bit more honest and straight forward instead of doing it sneaky like that. Oh well.
