British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Well, I said I'll wait and see the missions before giving a more serious opinion... Now that I've seen them I can say that they are not bad. My favorite past is obviously that there are no mandatory loot boxes like on the early-access disaster we just had, where A LOT of players finished all directives and didn't get any ship at all (myself included). I will say though that the events/missions/directives are getting more difficult each time and it is noticeable. It's still doable and most active players will finish them (or be close to so they buy premium bundles to get the 1000 tokens) but they are more grindy and more difficult each time. Just be aware that we see that and I'm sure WG will not make an attempt to try to convince us otherwise like they tried with Gorizia/P.E.F. because we all know how that ended. -
Last chance to obtain London and Cheshire
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Can I approve this? I guess it would sound strange, especially to my dear @MrConway but offering 'London' for 19 euros in order to get additional tokens and then being able to get 5,500 doubloons once the directives are completed sound quite a good deal. I'm not taking it but that's irrelevant. The 5,500 doubloons cost pretty much the same in the premium shop and they would come in handy sooner or later. Especially with the fact that you don't need 'London' to complete the directives and get the main prize but it does make it easier and you can skip some of the daily missions and play more relaxed. +1 (believe it or not) -
My containers are sneaking up... Shall I be worried? On a more serious note... I'd like to see the ability to choose which containers we want to open. I'm aware this won't be on the 'top priority' list or anything but I'd like it to be taken at least into consideration. Sometimes you want to open certain containers while leaving others there, unopened. Either because you want to use those premium days of WG containers later, because you're doing some video for YouTube or what not or for any other reason. I'm talking about scrolling or in some other way seeing all containers you have and then choosing which ones you want to open, not just be forced to open the last obtained one. Again... I don't expect this to be looked into any time soon but as long as it's added to the 'low priority' list, I'm fine with it. @Crysantos @YabbaCoe @Sehales

450 short? WUT? It's not only directives that I'll be doing, pls read what I wrote. Okay... according to my calculations.. since I'll be away for 4 days without playing WOWs at all... - Finishing all directives ---> 550 tokens - Taking all daily shipments (being away up to 4 days is irrelevant IIRC) ---> 50 tokens - Daily missions ---> 25 days - 4 days (not playing) x 20 tokens = 500 tokens = 420 tokens TOTAL: 1,020 tokens So that should be exactly enough for RN captain, right? Can someone double-check pls. Tnx. Yes, exactly. Because the daily shipments will be available for 14 days and there will be 10 rewards altogether. Meaning you can miss 4 days (no matter which ones) and still be able to collect all of them.
-
Can someone make calculations for lazy me? I'll be away for vacations for 4 days... If I miss 4 days, would I still be able to get the 1000 tokens for the RN captain? Assume the rest of the days I'll do the daily missions, collect those daily shipments and obviously finish all directives. I'd say that's exactly the limit you can miss in regards to daily shipments and daily missions but I might be wrong.

Already gave you a reply in the other thread you asked the same question...

Last chance to obtain London and Cheshire

Well, I'd expect it to be in the article about the 'London' being for sale in the Premium shop. P.S. Still not stated the amount of doubloons being compensated. -

Thanks for that. I still don't see that in the article and my 'find/search' options can't find it either. P.S. And it still doesn't state the amount of doubloons being compensated, does it? -

I don't see anywhere the compensation in doubloons for 'London'. As you probably know the players that will buy 'London' for 20 euros is so they can have a bit more relaxed grind into obtaining the RN Legendary Captain but they still want a compensation once all directives are finished. I've read the article and used the 'Find...' options but didn't find anything relevant to this. -
Oh well, stars did not align. I had a chance to win the game by myself. Georgia was very very low HP and I radar-ed the DD to kill him but I was too low with my HP and just couldn't do it. So close. 160k DMG might not be high for most standards but it is for me, especially with Donsoki which I unlocked this morning. High (free)XP is obviously due to flags (grinding for Moskva) but I believe that 2.7mil potential DMG in Donskoi isn't too bad either.

PSA: Operations Temporarily Unavailable in 0.9.1
Afghanicus replied to MrConway's topic in News & Announcements
Spreadsheets say once operations are removed, players will no longer play them. -
I don't understand why was so difficult to write what rewards will get the players that passed the whole 'service', which is like 99% of active players...

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
Afghanicus replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Last few days I've been playing a bit of Random ones to get Moskva without wasting too much freeXP. Well, in a Chapayev T8 I was getting T10 in almost every match while at T9 I was getting more games with T7 and T8 than T10s. Quite consistently. And I remember there was some discussion about MM taking into consideration the skill (stats) of the players. Almost every game I've played was an easy win - either for our team or for the enemies. There were just a couple of interesting games where it was interesting til the very end. The rest of the games were sad frankly, no matter if my team was the one dominating or being blapped like this... No wonder why I don't play Random anymore... I might play some for the event starting tomorrow but not for enjoyment, that's for sure. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Actually it was the first time I grind for something and at the end I get no ship at all. The least rewarding and probably one of the worst events so far (the competition is getting tough). Well, first and last time for sure. Unless I see some guaranteed rewards and know exactly what I'm grinding for... I'll just completely ignore it. -

British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
The idea is a good. The points made above remain though - events/directives/missions are getting more difficult each time. This can be proven easily. It's like when WG tried to manipulate the player-base saying that grinding 'Gorizia' was easier than grinding 'P.E.F.' and then proven completely wrong minutes later with actual facts. -
Not bad but you'd still have a winning team at loss because they couldn't farm all that damage. So your idea should be extended a bit... If all players choose to surrender, all HP from the remaining players is split equally between the alive players of the winning team. Obviously HP of the loosing team would be converted to DMG for the winning team.

Bring Narai back. Oh wait... bring ALL operations back.

PSA: Operations Temporarily Unavailable in 0.9.1
Afghanicus replied to MrConway's topic in News & Announcements
And remind us again why do we have Public Test Servers and other forms of testing for CCs, SuperTesters etc. ? Seems like someone 'on top' didn't like how we busted them in an attempt to remove Narai for good and got pissed so decided to remove all operations at once. Now officially, WG will be working on them to fix them. Also officially WG doesn't have the time and resources for PvE. Also officially WG doesn't care about PvE at all because "it doesn't work well for them". So officially we won't be seeing them any time soon. -
And the rest of us. We should have kept silent and swallowed the pile of BS that WG served us. Because we said that removing Narai is wrong and doesn't make any sense at all.... we'd go to GULAG but the removal of all ops will be instead.
-
They already did. ALL operations removed (sorry, temporarily unavailable for unknown period of time)

Afghanicus replied to MrConway's topic in News & Announcements
So at the end you did decide to remove all operations at once. For an undefined period of time, of course. I mean... "a critical error" caused the "outage" and WG is sorry for it... sure.. silly me to think otherwise. -
British Cruisers: Obtain Cruiser London
Afghanicus replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
They do seem to be making every successive event more difficult than the previous one. (not counting the PR fiasco) Maybe they are checking how hard they can push until the numbers of players actually grinding those events give up. What's even worse for me are the daily missions and daily collections of daily shipments. Because it requires you to play every single day. Yeah, you probably can miss a day or two but you better play almost every day or you won't be seeing the main reward which is the legendary captain, not the London.
