Well fwiw you need not to sit glued to the monitor, just have it running in a tab (or auxiliary browser) in the background and just check it maybe once a day or so to collect phat-loot. So far it has earned me 3x4000 doubs (the now relegated t5 premium containers) and a boat from the middel recruitment container. For not watching it.....

This. Go to "account management" on WoWs and unlink and then re-link Twitch. Then refresh Twitch-stream, job done.

Score timer - any news?
-
This has been an on and off feature* for the past few months. I for one am not holding my breath any longer hoping for solution, I suggest you do the same, see perhaps this thread, the newest handful of pages: Regardless however, like @MementoMori_6030 suggest mayhaps don't expect the mods within hours of the patch release..... *) Its a feature, not a bug

Soooo, amongst all the bullsh**e whine I thought; why not try a constructive topic since all the cry-babies still haven't gotten into their thick skulled heads that WG doesn't give a flying f*** whether the forumites like the subs or not. They are here to stay, deal with it. Aaaanyways, ASW - can we get a wee bit more info about them? - Are the depth charges different damage-wise from nation to nation (like shells and torps)? - Do they in conjunction with the above paragraph have different depths where they explode? - Are the flight time on the Airstrike Depth Charge (ADC) determined solely by the nation or also range from an arbitrary "base"? And again does these differ from nation to nation? - Does these ADC in conjunction with the above paragraph have different depths where they explode, and again; are the national-branches differences? Looking forward to all the flame, downvoting etc. but lets face the music and dance. If not, log off an do something else with your spare time

Well, this also seems like a plausible mechanic. But to a large extend this removes the RNG-element that WG oh-so loooove so is it fair to assume that actually the RNG as suggested above is more feasible? Albeit is easily could be like suggested like here.

This would make sense two fold; - WG can still treat us like muppets in that we dont have to worry about the depth of the sub etc "jUsT pReSs G" and, - Subs is less exposed IF someone were to crack the code in to the perfect alignment/drop of the depth charge for maximum effect. Still, if this in facet are the case it's a bit disappointing but not surprising - unfortunatly.

TBH the damage points were mostly for context as I have seen those somewhere on a dev-blog but not the depth where they explode and as far as I'm aware it's not published anywhere(?) And for some reason this struck me as odd since the depth of the sub you're trying to target may/should differ quite much and since its area damage from the depth charges the result of the engagement from the surface ship could differ wildly if its a guessing game when your depth charges explode.

"(...)superships, and the newcomers themselves were warmly received by our players" C'mon! Have you seen the battles that were played where players with less than ideal BB-experience took a Supership (aka. t11) our to sea facing of against the likes of Kremlin, Monty, Yama etc.? (not to mention Slava, Ohio, Shiki etc.!) That was a nice can of whoop-a**. The players wielding the so called t11 boats that were newcomers to the game were in well above their heads and for the rest of us....that's a hard pass. Sure, you can lend those über boats, but make a threshold of say 250+ t8 BB battels of something along those lines as a bare minimum. Otherwise it's just gonna be another cluster-f***. For this signature it's a good opportunity to have a go in the torps-spamming DD's, so there' that.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If nothing else this new modus operandi regarding relegating ships from the techtree to armoury/coal-ship status leaves a question that might already have been answered albeit I cannot find it, so here goes; I'll address the issue from my own perspective. I own both GK and Khabar (I seldom play them, but that's sort of besides the point at this time) but have loooong time ago sold of both FDG and Tashkent. If I were to re-purchase those boats again/now and run up say 150k+ xp on these over the reminder of 2021, would I then be able to "insta-unlock" the new boats come early 2022 when they are made available with the already earned xp? Or do we need to wait until the changes take affect in the techtree thus only xp earned after these changes are usable for unlocking those ships?

Soooo, in development blog 217 there is a worrying/interesting paragraph that I wanna address: Other News & Changes The availability, price, and characteristics of some signals and camouflages were changed: (...) We work on the separation of exterior elements (e.g. camouflages, signals) from the economic bonuses. The aforementioned changes of availability and the characteristics of camouflages and signals are just a part of that big change. We shall share more detailed information later." The part that's underlined is what worries me. For me this is typical WG-newsspeak to prime us for when they remove* the post-battle service discount from perma skins for t8-t9-tX ships. Perma skins that for the most part was purchased with doubloons/real money. I have a handful of LMU/UU that got nerfed into the ground when these was reworked** but on the other hand I do not own say either Atlanta or Smolensk that commander rework effectively made useless. So the question; how often, if ever, has WG nerfed skins/ships/modules that we the player base has purchased for doubloons/real money? **) Admittedly this is just a guess at this time.... **) Nerfed.

Update 0.10.9, submarines, next steps (DB 225)

Again --- minority opinion here; yay! Cue Das Boot theme -
Purchases getting nerfed. Is that a thing?
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to ZeuSueZ1337's topic in General Discussion
Fair point. This was a grose excaturation but we can agree that the commander rework did infact nerf the Smolensk (and Atlanta) somewhat or even more? -

This sentence makes a total of zero sense(?) Like most you write in here. Oh, and for fwiw you're the one forumite that's on Ignore. Permanent. 32k messages in 6 odd years is equal to 14-15 post/day. E V E R Y day. And yet, or perhaps because of this, you're by a wide margin the most grumpy and un-constructive person seen here. Perhaps find something useful to spend your time on instead of ranting off in here? Have a good one.

Given it's not a simulator (omegalylz!) I'd say that I really don't care -- per say. What really gets me though is fantasy ships (looking particularly, but not only, at the CCCP-fleet of magic-drawing-designs found in Comrade Stalin's desk drawer) that wrecks what little game balance is left in the game (Petro, Kremlin etc. Not to mention Slava & Smolensk) and sends f2p players and the rest of us to the brink of mental breakdowns when you for the 10th time gets "Rick Rolled" by a quadruple zita from Slava or perma BBQ from Smolen$k. So no. I don't like paper ships - but my saltiness might just be well beyond the scale.....

A little late to the party but none the less. TL;DR DD-main here: always TRB on IJN if possible. Even for the price of smoke Explainer: USN: Black, Altanta/Atlanta B, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Cleveland, Wichita, Congress, AL Montpelier, Buffalo, Seattle, Alaska/Alaska B, Des Moines, Worcester, Puerto Rico, Salem & Missouri CCCP: Chapayev, Tallinn, Ochakov, Dmitri Donskoi, Riga, Kronshtadt, Moskva, Alexander Nevsky, Petropavlovsk, Stalingrad & Borodino RN: Belfast, Edinburgh, Neptune, Minotaur & Plymouth Pan Asia: Hsienyang, Chung Mu & Yueyang Pan Europe Orkan, Småland & Ragnar That's the list* that includes just shy of 40+(!!!) ships --- with radar. So asking us in the current meta (autumn of 2021) if you wanna play some of the most stealthy DD's with a (imho) useless smoke or a TRB that theoretical doubles your torp DPM --- I'd say TRB aaaany day of the week. Now, I know that someone would point out that smoke can save you from a CV-trashing but turning off your AA and go dark is usually just as good. And even IF the CV decides to keep engaging you, you should just see as your task to keep the CV busy with that, thus freeing you entire team from CV-harassment. Also your own point of outfitting the ships according too match your division mates is an important and often overlooked aspect. My two cents. *) I might have forgotten some.....

With the new update ~one week away are there any news regarding the score timer yet? If it can be salvage or not? Fair game if there isn't, this is just a kind *bump*

Distant Voyages Container - Camo Drop Rate.
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I hadn't cancelled my Amazon-prime subscription and got three DV containers there. 14 flags and two perma camos.... Soooo a 2/3 droprate? Nope. I don't think so either. -
[Poll] How do you like new "Convoy" game mode?
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
A+ for the idea C- for the Execution Great idea for a (temporary) battle mode however with the current setup it favours the attackers, even by "WG-balans" standards, waaay to much. The end (or is it start?) point should not be known to the raiders and the defenders should have access to some sort of heal-buff. Either for us the players or the bot-convoy ships. CV's are gonna do CV-stuff. That we just have to learn to live with.... -
Fwiw I wanna say nooo.....usually I pick a resource container, but now and again I go on a "try your luck" spree and usually I get a SC well before hitting 33 rolls (wiki stats the chance is ~3%) so no. For me the odds are the same (+/-) as ever, but tbh it's not something I have solid evidence to support.

Just looked at the wiki and here are some rough calculations: ~700k fxp will take you from t5* all the way to tX (w.o. researching auxiliary modules, GFCS/engine/etc) on a random branch line. Given that the RB-2x factor is available 4 times/year and the rewards are 20.400(?) RB-points then 3x re-research's will bring you well within the current price of RB-ships, and If you also just play your daily missions to some extend you're able to bag upwards of 1.200 RB-points/month. So a thought experiment. - From August-November you pay fxp to reset a line (2x) - From November-February you pay fxp to reset a line (2x) and you play/grind one ship for the 1x RB-points on your own (also you'll get rewards/dockyard bonuses/_w_) - Over the cause of these 6 months you complete 1x400 RB-points every other month and 2x400 RB-points on every other month. Having now spent ~1.4m fxp and having played/grinded one(!) ship back to tX, this should add up just shy of ~55k RB-points and place you well within the option of getting a RB-point ship with an effort similar to grinding fxp on its own. Over the cause of ½ year of playtime. Factor in inflation of the various currencies in the game imho this seems so/so fair. Think that Musi was available at the barging of just 750k fxp Still a pity tho if they were to cancel fxp ships all along. Welp, only time will tell..... *) Getting up to t5 is for me so "cheap" fxp-wise that I don't count them any longer, and almost all missions require t5+ ships to complete them, hence I calculate from t5.

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to ThePurpleSmurf's topic in General Discussion
33 SC's (I'll add the three from the Twitch-mission later) - Couple of hundred (good!) camos (yay actually) - 700 or 800 normal flags and 100+ special flags (meh) - 2x7 days of premium (sure why not) - 4.500 dub's (not bad) - 30k coal (alright I guess) I was hoping to get mayhaps just one steel container. RNG said no. However: Welp
