Last Chance to Obtain California
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
....apparently I've (once again ) lost the ability to read. Jaysuz christ, my bad. So WG are sticking to their line of providing boats exclusively for RB points, nice. Then it's Siegfried thats on the block, once a few test and reviews are published. thx Riggerby. -
PSA: Fix for problems with opening Dockyard
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to YabbaCoe's topic in News & Announcements
It dosn't seems so. Just ran a "Verify integrity of game files" on Steam --- two files failed and got re-downloaded. Then launched the game, dockyard still not loading, and I have to kill the app thus I'm unable to return to the port while the dockyard are loading. I'm really not in the mood to fiddle with random do-it-yourself patches so I'll just wait until an official fix are rolledout. -
Last Chance to Obtain California
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Cue circus music...... Had grinded through 3x RB thought to save up for a premium ship - and why not a t9 German cruiser? Ägir looked pretty neat. ..... .. . . .....thankfully I didn't exchanged those tokens for it as your offering it to the whales for rubles. Are you freakin' kiddin' us?! #notimpressed -
Hamburg Dockyard: Directives Deadline Approaching!
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Sooo....there is that. I purchased Graff a while back and have enjoyed it tremendously. Yet for all(?) other events/campaigns/etc. WG has compensated in dubloons if you had the particular ship in port already, rather in useless* credits. This is both disappointing and at the same time not surprising at all. I expect that the spreadsheet is "balansed" and I''m off to Gulag...... *) Yeah its useless: play what 20-30 winning games in a boat you master w. cammo and signals and you're getting the same amount of credits. -
Is server down - resolved :)
ZeuSueZ1337 replied to Admiral_Oily_Discharge's topic in General Discussion
For maintenance. But rest assured we'll be transferred to a new server..... *crickets* -
From the News post I'd make diz c/p " Please note: we plan to change the unique upgrades in Update 0.9.5. " OY! - could you maybe elaborate a bit? I guess ppl are worried(?) for one of two things, perhaps both: 1.) Players whom already got one or several LM. Do they have to reacquire those? I've been through several post on the forum (devblog mostly) but cannot find anything where this is discussed. I find it concerning cauz having 7x LM in my fleet I'm able to (re?)purchase them for research points in the armory already, which leads me to fear I need to regrind a whole lot (tho that's NOT gonna happen if its actually the case(!)) 2.) Are you gonna alter the stats for the LM significantly*? No need to tell us to what in details, albeit that would be nice, but simply so ppl can slow it right down an figure if that the LM (i.e. tX boat) they want. Look, like I written in several other posts regarding changes of mechanics etc. i fully appreciate that you have a business to run but for a lot (the majority?) of us, it seems that you don't really care much about the existing player base but mainly to land new players/whales** to cough up some dolleri. *) Yes I own a Henri w. LM. The engine-boost debacle has made me regret that..... **) 80.000 doubloons for a tX premium IJN DD. ......and not even gonna dwell on the "fantasy balans" non existing CCCP navy

+1 For starters thought it was my client, but nooooo :\
-
Great. Also I lost my ability to read and/or interpret a post - my bad :\ Even worse since my credit currently stands at a solid 300m+ so a 45m additional credits does zero for me, gah.

After checking my inventory and realizing the numbers of premium consumables is 2k+ strong could you shed some light on the types of flag those are gonna be converted into? Also: this is a clear telltale sign of a player pool in decline. Look, I fully understand that WOWS/WG has a business to run but removing, what imho essentially is obtainable goal, to ensure all has the same starting point regardless of skills/time played(/and yes, depth of pockets) seems like a unwise decision. Resources spent in the game client should have an upside albeit a small one instead of just railroading us all to play CCCP OP paper-boats. Personally I've had a lot of fun but removing this feature leads me to sign in and command my virtual boats less often, pity. But ok, spreadsheet says balans comrade #facepalm

+1 The game is stuttering and getting ~50% frames as normal. Usually I hit 80-90 fps no prob but after the patch im struggling to get above 30-35. Intel i5, dedicated gfx, ssd (i.e. the lot) build here. And no. Im not gonna issue a support ticket. I fully second Mr_Wolfclaw. [edit: typo]

Well, well. Only double the time originally planned *slowclap* I really dont care for comp. Sure 24h p. I'll take it. But this isn't the problem. Instead act like you know how to handle situations with a bit of basic customer carecare. Regardless of how long time operations and/or opsdev said the update/patch/maintenance/_W_ are supposed to last you communicate double that time. Why? Because you would rather have the playerpool, and of that probably the most vocal of those, to experience that you were done prior to planned than need to extend the downtime 30 minutes at a time ending up looking like a bunch of vodka drunk sailors. My two cents.

+1 For me this happens ~once/per session where i have to kill the client an start it again. It seems for me to occur after maybe a handful (5-10) of games regardless of other circumstances. Bar_Brightblade's description matches fairly what I experience. It's been a returning "feature" for at least a couple of months

I have stopped caring. Not even about the British line i have waited since Beta for.

During 2017-2018 some friends of mine was like "come play warships with us" its fun and engaging. I'd pass. Thinkin' I'd already played my part of video games (was an avid gamer years ago but now used my (spare)time elsewhere) but finally after trying out one night in lave 2018 I tagged along and made my account. And to various degrees I can concur to all the statements in this thread. For starters its a fun and entertaining game. You earn ships with new abilities, gain insights to tactits, discover the oddities of the various branches/countries and all in all its on the face value a fun game, but then: - Its become somewhat of a stale game. The same game mode over and over. Sure there are ranked and ranked sprints game modes. And clan wars/brawls - but really. The same just more grindin'. - The CV (yup just made it in prior to the CV disaster) mode to accommodate what can only be described like the "fortnite playerbase" took a major tactical element and threw it right out the window instead focusing on "aim or suck"-skill. - Realizing that the WoWs DevOps apparently has gone down the road leading to CCCP domination bias (Kremlin, Stalingrad, etc.) paperships this time flushing what realism that seemed to exist with actual ships down the drain on the grounds of funneling OP fantasy CCCP** (and others) ships into the game. - And finally the wholesale* of so called "admiral packs" (or whatever they are called) containing new premium boats, t10 commanders, flags, skins etc. so players who had put time into getting the mechanics right, whilst playing their commander to an useful level, with t7-t8-t9-tX boats eventually will run into newcomers to the game with little or zero game game sense ruining the game experience. So to sum it up - do I care? Nope. I mainly sail with a handful of IRL friends but grinding is slowly coming to and end for me (when my christmas/winter premium runs out) For me at least i differ with quite a few in this thread as in; for me it not so much the ~100 bucks i spent over the last 18 months im annoyed over. Its more that the time put into understanding game mechanics, tactics, identifying what branches to play etc. is proving either worthless or of very little value due to the fact that WoWs are offering whales the opportunity to buyin to the game with massive OP paperships and playing like they are on a PUBG server. And thus screwing the game experience for a lot of (formerly?) dedicated players. *) Look, I know WG has a business to run but it would seem fair that to purchase thees packs you should at least reach a certain account level (level15=200 battles if memory suits me well for instance) to make sure that players have a basic comprehension of the game. On the other hand imposing such a barrier may severely hamper the cash flow of the company. Sooo.....not really sure what to do here and since the community dont for obvious reasons have access to the hard data as to when players purchases boats/premium/signals/cammos it nothing more than an educated guessing game. **) Either to accommodate the CIS player base and/or compensating for something else..... My two cents. -
50 minutes from report to fix. On a saturday. That's the stuff. I mean rly we'd like to avoid these mishaps but the speed of this fix you'd do well to replicate in the future. o7

+ daily missions & personal assignments also gone. And hall of fame is open....at least postbattle (yet winning, sinkin' ships etc. doesn't score you any points) Its probably a server brain fart. I just restarted the client to confirm the problem is not a wonky bug on my end. Its not. The problem persists :-\ I'll abandon ship for now until its hopefully fixed. Lovely

During a brief offline conversation with a few fellow captains of WoWs a few days ago we talked about mines, albeit in another context, but quickly it transferred into: why aren’t there a mine option implemented in WoWs? During both WWI and WWII naval mines were and integral part of maritime warfare. They were deployed in harbours and straits to avoid enemy forces to enter. It could in our opinion provide a possible interesting aspect in gameplay. We’ve did discuss this a length and identified some hot topics that need to be answered – and the big one at first: has this been considered and/or suggested before (a quick forum search suggest no) but if it had – and presumably been rejected – why? If not, here’s our take on what it could add to the game: - On a lot of maps – even on Ocean – it would allow the landscape to “change” due to the barrier effect. Temporally, but still - DD’s could choose to have fewer torps and have mines instead. Either fixed numbers for balance of a full flexible range of torps/mines depending on tier, country etc. - It would implement an aspect of mine clearing on DD’s as well as spotting, capping etc. - It could work as a temporary barrier on a cap-zone, i.e. adding a layer to the game mechanics - Planes – fighters? – would gain additional purposes in spotting the mines - May even introduce cruisers (or even Battleships) to deploy them - Could add a mine-clearing upgrade on ships go further diversify ships characteristics These are mostly a range of random thoughts but also intend for feedback from WG – but also fellow captains? GEFECHTSTATION! [Edit: not sure if its in the correct section - if not, feel free to place in the appropriate section]

The same. But wanted to examine my own rig/connection prior to posting anything. It's been going on for a few days as I recall so 30th of December seems fair. Usually i get a ping 20-40ms and this is a quiet playable ping, no problem, but currently when I enter a battle my ping spikes after a few minutes to 100-200-500+ms rendering the game near impossible to play. During the battle it may drop periodically to the former mentioned 20-40ms but there doesn't seems to be a pattern at first eyes glance. I dont have anything running in the background consuming bandwidth and/or resources so any input is greatly appreciated. Problem is the same on WiFi/Lan and the router have been both reset and turned on/off. Same result.

Same'ish Have seen various errors (handle/password incorrect, not internet connection etc.) so it seems that the servers are tanking big time. Also nothing on the WoWs or WGsupport twitter accounts - but hey, thats mostly down to the standard latency in the communications *sighs* .....goes to the habour to look at a real life destroyer.
-
Odd. I have never changed that from the default settings, but all was off(?) Thx.

As the title indicate some of my cammos are apparently MIA? Both the “Hunt for Bismarck” cammo are listed in my inventory overview – but cannot be selected when trying to spec the boat itself. Also, the Bionic for Pensacola don’t seem to be an option when trying to fly (e.g. sail) in a “spacesuit” But otherwise the various ‘special’/premium cammos are all there – what is wrong? Thanks in advance.
-
Well... sorry If Im unclear in buy; you do see that is my cammo - not the actual ships - thats missing? I'm aware of the ship-filters, thank you (:D) Its the cammo for Bismarck ("Hunt for Bismarck") thats missing from my inventory. And the Bionic for Pensecola thats missing. But shown in my inventory overview.
-
"most likely your filter settings" Uhm - filters where? Just looked over the sections and I cannot see anywhere that sould be able to filter in my cammo-selection? (but I might be missing something?)

+1. Could not even post on these forums last night. Spikes was 50-500ms at my end and occurred once/minute. Don't even care about the compensation any longer I just wish - and I know thats not gonna' happen - that WG would be upfront about issues of this sort so one could spent time elsewhere. Instead of acting like the "Three wise monkeys"
