*disclaimer* not sure I posted this the correct place. This is as much a post to the community to the whole of WG. Threats – not just banter – how is that to be handled? And is what I experienced something I/we should considered a threat? Or just waaaay over the line an extremely rude behaviour? In an era of online gaming harassing, bullying and such is part of the game for better or worse in the in-game chat functionality. But to my knowledge there is quite the difference between: - firstly “banter” - secondly bullying/harassing and - thirdly – and finally – threats. I don’t feel I’m an unfair player I’ve cleaned up my act of trashing other players in chat when they play poorly simply by reporting them (plays poorly etc.) but instead focusing on the teammates who have good manners, play well etc. Keeping it positive. Entering this dude in a DD. On the new beginning of a ranked, got silver in first stint but really only been grinding for the steel. Still, I try my hardest when playing because for the majority of the player pool it’s the most competitive environment you’ll find when not clanwars etc. For context my current ranked wr rate is ~54% random sits just below 50%. So, your average but enthusiastic casual player. Then a ranked battle occurs. Our aforementioned Halland DD goes wide in the battles opening and gets disposed by either a DD or cruiser in a straight up fight. We could have supported him more but weren’t able to. On the other hand, nothing which we haven’t all experienced in ranked. But we win, so that should have been the end of that as far as I'm concerned – and this is when this for me becomes interesting. He then completely goes of the rails once I get back to port there is a in game chat message saying – and I quote: “THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT U SPINELESS [edited]” At this time, I’m just replying casually that I find that rude – and then it escalates (see screen dumps) I can provide replay if-need-be but then he’s not that anonyms any longer. So, my question: is this something WG wants reported (by official channels) as a threat? What does the community have of inputs? It’s a clan that’s fairly high rated according to wows-numbers.com To be clear; I’m not out to sanction the player – that’s something WG should handle at their discretion. But over 2½ years of sailing this by far the most offended and in doubt I’ve been regarding how to handle these interactions. Oh and after this he continued the profanity. Thanks in advance for your input. To the person in question: if you read this I’ve logged and screen dumped all communication and will continue to do so.

Again banter/bullying/thrash talking/harassing's/etc. is to some extend "one thing" Threats however is - imho - something completely different and my sole purpose for this topic was simply guidance for how, and if, to escalate it. But I wanna thank you just now, for that very thoughtful reply.

Alright. Ill create a ticket and then let it runs its course. Just to clarify; I'm not worried the guy making the threat is actually gonna carry them out (potential famous last words) but for my part a threshold was thoroughly crossed when it turned into threats rather than just bullying/harassments.

Logged in no prob (on Steam) and went directly into the que for battle. Normal load time and no probs the first 30 sec of the battle. So it appears ok.

Several things to consider WG: - It's not the yet 1st of April yet (....did the "spreadsheet of balans" tell you otherwise?) - Also we have become so used to/numb/_W_ towards your CV-shenanigans that for many of us, this signature as well, this wasn't even a joke but rather another nail in the "we pretend to listen to the community"-coffin. Until we realized we'd been punked. - You even took the time to produce a 5 min yt video with this funny, funny (not) Aprils fool, cuz there is nothing else to do*? *) Deadeye, sky-aiming/sniping, etc. Not impressed. Sorry....

Title says it all rly. Located and used both BB and DD guide, but the cruiser guide seems to be either MIA or just not completed yet. Playing on the EU servers Im unable to post on the NA servers; so does any one know when/or if its already published and I've just been unable to locate it? Thanks in advance.

There is alot, A L O T, wrong with WoWs atm. WG for once. But also this! Looking at your stats sheet it looks like you halted your BB progression at Orion (WR 3/13 ~ 23%) a tier 4 (a tier 4 ffs!!) RN BB. And then......*drummroll*..... Then you went on a nutter of a shopping spree and purchased the following premium: t6 Warspite (WR 19/49 ~ 38%) t8 Massachuetts (WR 27/56 ~ 48%) t8 Vanguard (WR 47/157 ~ 32%) t9 Pommeren (WR 7/17 ~ 41%) t9 Georgia (WR 7/10 ~ 70% (woho!)) tX Thunderer (WR 18/50 ~ 36%) Cruisers tell a similar tale tX Mino, WR 10/47 ~ 21% And I could go on and on. But this, THIS, is also what is wrong with this game and more specifically playerpool. You - yes @sadhighway, you - are gonna be the posterboy in this post for all the posers who seem to think that "Ill just purchase a premium high tier ship and show them what's what, cuz I play video games" and you end up with this clusterf***. - Do you pay attention to the mini-map and avoid being detected too often? - Do you use the correct shells playing BBs? - Do you interact with the players for direction, priority targets etc? - Do you know what the specific features of both the friendly and enemy ships in a given engagement provides of pros and cons? - etc. etc. Based upon your stats everything suggest that you are nowhere near past newbie-sailing and the answer to the above aforementioned is a solid NO. My best advice: park all of your premium boats for now. Go on a grind haul for 3+ months. Play the game a minimum of 2 times every week for 1-2 hours each session (only randoms) and until you unlock a similar techtree ship leave your premiums be. Specific suggestions: For BB's: Practice lead time in your BB's when firing. Get better at using the mini-map. Get used to kiting. Don't overextend in your BB's. For cruisers: Support your DD's. Provide them with cover both with guns and AA. Hunt the DD's if possible. Stare at the mini-map even more than in BB's. DO in fact overextend if it means supporting the DD's And for the love of god; stay the hell away from ranked for the time being. You are a deadweight for you team and at the moment and I'm sorry -- no, I'm not - to inform you that you skills are so abysmal that entering into ranked in the premium boats you possess with the *performance* (lol) you put on I'd suggest that you could do with a "rough talking to" But toxicity is high at the moment on the virtual seas. That is uncalled for --- like being taken seriously in ranked with this track record......

And is this wishful thinking or based upon some reliable sources?

Perhaps for a month or two when "all" (i.e. youtubers, LWM etc.) have gotten wiser and are able to provide us with insights as to what skills to choose for what roles etc. Honestly I find it okay'ish that WG are charging doubloons for re spec the skill points when the meta are set and is obvious what to do. But given the rework I'd prefer a say 2-3 weeks time of free res spec time in a few months time to sort most of the calamities out many of us undoubtedly are gonna end up with now its a guessing game - at best. If not - pity.

Removal of random-chance drops — with the new update, it is no longer possible to facilitate rewards that have random chances of dropping for viewers. Since this mechanic was the basis for our Twitch Epic Drops, these types of rewards will no longer be available in their past form for the time being. Now I fully understand if you're being murky on purpose; for once you're not operating Twitch. But I'd be neat to know if is a decision taken at WGs discretion or its a global change at Twitch (yes, did a interwebs search but didn't get any wiser) to outlaw such random loot drops? If so it's unlikely to be reintroduced, imho. On the other hand if its a WG decision then there should be a greater, or less slim if you will, chance to see them resurface. In essence; no reason to watch twitch-streams at random any more, the missions I could care less about.

Friday 15th of January ~16:00 CET I had a few games with ping-spikes and general a wobbly client. Exited the game and completed the obligatory restart of the rig. Got back online, looked for abnormalities in Windows etc., didn't notice anything, restarted the game and first attempt didn't succeed. The loader stuck at "synchronizing" Second try went better but the ping-spikes remains. Other experiencing this atm.?

Ez mate. If you want them on a different ship, yes that's gonna cost you 50 doubloons a pop (quite a write-off with 300+ commanders) If, as I presume, you wanna keep the commanders on the ship you already have them assigned to, then perhaps wait like written in the bottom of the article until the January 21st then you're able to reset all commanders with one click and then you'll have four weeks to your disposal to fiddle around with the skill points and reset them for free. Again; if you want the commander on a different tech-tree there is a price to pay, this is no news. Pants! With the introduction of ship slots as rewards for daily/monthly missions it was a cheap way to store unused commanders on t1+t2 boats instead of having to purchase slots for reserve commanders. Disclaimer; I still think this skill point reset is a rather unnecessary exercise in what appears to be yet another moneygrab and a clusterfuck in one, but the ~4 weeks of cost free reset and the addition of "one reset to rule them all"-button serves WG well. [edit: typos etc.]

Oh noes. Well, I was already on a spending-halt with respect to steel and RB-points ships, after the announcements of 2nd-build cruisers rendered my Siegfred next to useless. Back to casual-grindin' I guess.

CCCP-fantasy ships (and others perhaps?) are being relegated to the 'Harbour of rust' with respect to Clan battles and 2.) The steel and/or RB points you so thoroughly have collected over time just became devaluated like the roubles in the 90's Is it Monday?!!

Siegfried is gonna a burn slowly when the new captain point regime goes live. I have her already and shes close to not being worth it in the current meta and is gonna be a burden for any team in the new meta imho. Thats a handfull of line reset I'm not gettin back :\ If you have either Monty or Kremlin I'd prob resist both Slava & Ohio and prob look at Paolo. But you have to be a DD main as I read the forum and streamer review. Otherwise save em. The new point regime is sort of right around the corner and probably there will be feedback from the community fairly quickly. Then decide what boat to get for your port.
