Hallo Floribe2000, ich hätte durchaus Interesse falls noch Bedarf besteht. Ich bin Englischlehrer, habe viel Erfahrung im Verfassen, Übersetzen und Redigieren von Texten und würde mich gerne einbringen. LG -
I sank two enemy ships in a random battle in my T8 Öland. It was a North Carolina and another Öland. It is impossible that another ship was responsible for sinking one of these two. I only got one kill ribbon, though. Here is the thing: While my team sank three enemy ships, game summary says we only sank two (but clearly shows three enemy ships were sunk via their silhoutte). The same goes for the enemy team: They sank all six of my team including me. But their kill count only shows 5 sunken ships.

Thanks for your response, mate. Your argument could be valid for every critique on any game though. Could you please elaborate? I really want to get a good grip on these things. Thanks in advance

Not sure but I sometimes feel like I hear the flooding sound when there are no floods - not even a first contact with the enemy? Maybe the sound is supposed to be something else and I don't get it?

I think submarine gameplay can be quite fun BUT there are some issues that need to be considered imo. 1) Right now I don't really feel like there are enough counterplay options against subs. Example: I was able to yolo into the advancing enemies (incl. DDs) fire torpedos, ping targets, keep the DDs that were hunting me permaspotted for my team and get out of the situation alive - and repeat. This might have completely different outcome on the live servers, but I wouldn't be so sure about it. BBs, CVs, and some cruisers don't have any means for counterplay on the PTS. This puts a lot of further pressure on the DDs. What about randoms with only one DD and one or more submarines? Get rid of that one DD and the submarines will dominate? Cruiser ASW doesn't seem to be effective enough (at least for the Dallas). 2) I strongly believe the 6 meter depth threshold is not a good way to deal with the binary "surfaced/dived" status. I can go full speed with my submarine at 5.9 meters and submerge a further 0.1 meters whenever I'm being shot at from surface ships or airplanes are approaching my position, without taking any damage. Couldn't we have a gradually decreasing max speed from 0.0 to 6.0 meters or something? 3) Being able to permaspot nearby enemy ships while underwater does lead to a vast advantage. I.e. if a submarine would div up with a British light cruiser, a Smolensk, a Friesland etc. they could easily get rid of any nearby DDs it seems. The submarine could dive to max depth if needed and still "transmit" the exact location of the enemy above it to its team mates. WoWs is not a simulation but come on. Is there no better solution? For example: If you dive below x meters, you can still see enemies but this information will not be shared with the team or whatever. 4) How about ASW plane consumables and sound decoys launchable by ships and planes to irritate submarine captains and increasing the difficulty of gameplay, especially spotting and torpedo strikes? 5) Dogfights between submarines are incredibly lame. First I was afraid, I was petrified... then I realised that we will never hit each other in a close range battle... Either you ram or you try to create distance. This area seems to need some love by wargaming. 6) Water bombs by DDs seem to be good - but too few? I believe that if a sub was tracked down successfully, its chances of surviving those bombs should be extremely narrow. 7) I don't even want to pick a non-ASW capable ship in the submarine games. I played the Nürnberg thinking it could do ASW... sat above two subs for a while before I was taken out by torpedos of a third submarine. Not fun. Then I tried CVs two or three times. You can't do anything against submarines, but you can try and take out the enemies ASW capabilities asap so that your team has an easier time. --> tl;dr submarine gameplay is fun but too easy atm, DD gameplay becomes even more complicated; plus some ideas
