No offense, might sound harsh but truth to be told sometimes helps and you tend to comment in such a condescending way for no reason you need to be brought back to earth. I doubt that you are having „no problems killing DDs on your own whatsoever“ or that an encounter of us „will make you laugh“. Your average killrate on CVs of 1,01 is on the lower end on the scale for this class as are the other statistical aspects. The stats of your DDs imply that you don‘t really know how to play them. You overall got more than 11k matches and your stats might be green and blue sometimes, but given the experience to be expected on such a scale of games and that stats are relative to the whole player base which consists bots, one/short time players, little kids, fun players not intending to perform in any kind of matter players, your stats aren’t impressive at all. A competent DD player really knowing what he is doing could top all your DD outputs on stock boats with a 3pt captain and no modules attached. As said it‘s no offense though it might sound harsh, but it is again an average DD player complaining about CV situation, pretending what (even) he can produce in a CV - which obviously isn‘t the case. You are neither really good in CVs nor you are in DDs and you spread myths about the broken meta though the reason for your experience is clearly you and nothing else. I won’t write the whole post of the „fellow DD players“ thread again, but it comes down to what‘s written there... Again, no offense.. truth hurts sometimes, but is a chance either. in this sense..

No offense m8, but your profile tells the reason: your solo dd stats in this period are 7 games on 43% and 1,4k rating, 24 games teaming up on 2 with 83 % and a 2k rating and 14 games teaming up on 3 with 79 % and a 1,3k rating Fujin and T61 carried your winrate with each 9 out of 10 games won on a pretty decent rating of 2,3 and 2,8k Those facts together with your whole profile might lead to the conlcusion that you got carried and protected by teaming and the decisive fast of the results where that your teammates enabled you to do so. Plus your result mostly came out of those 2 ships in whose tier the CVs are no problem to handle - even for average players. Adding the fact that your division enabled and supported you, it's pretty plausible to get the results plus your complains about CVs into one scenario, because it is the same scenario and reason why we got so many complains at the moment. Average DD players with lack of adaption playing alone get in trouble when meeting average or above CV players on tier 6 upwards with even more trouble the higher the tier is. Average DD players teaming up, getting supported will shift the problems with enemy CVs to a higher skill of enemy CV and/or higher tiers. Don't get me wrong, teaming up is smart, it's the right way to have fun with friends, deal with the challenging situation and stuff, but argumenting the way you did isn't sound given the facts. Most frustrations and discussions come from seldom encounters of average to decent DD players with unicum/superunicum CVs in higher tiers. Add some very selective screenshots of superunicum cvs and the emotions get heaten up a bit more. Again no offense: But as @El2aZeR is in discussion as an example how broken the gameplay is supposed to be and that superunicum CVs are prohecys for auto win and instant kill, looking into his stats last 21 days you can see that it's not that frequent to crack DDs 2 minutes into the game or taking out 8 enemies. Average frags of 2,0-3,0 are nothing new for CV mains and purple CVs have been in the game all the time. Now add the fact that he did 50 % of games teamed up either and you end up in the conclusion that he is pretty good doing CVs, but there had been equally skilled, effective and decisive CV-players before the meta. Might be the new meta suits him in person better compared to before, thats speculation and not relevant for the comparison. There are way too many emotions put into this topic and the discussion has left objective arguments behind long ago... Keeping in mind that (due to the flood of CV newbies) you will meet really good CV players not often (10% of the games) and that the threatening aspect of meeting them is only really relevant in tier 10 and may be tier 8 you will suffer more losses from dumb decisions by teammates, dumb decisions by oneself or (as a DD) Radar, than being in the opposing team of an extraordinary CV. People also tend to forget, that extraordinary CVs dominated games since the beginning.. there had been times before monster Def AAs like Desmo and Mino. Man I remember the times before Midway was nerfed, then Haku was OP, after that we got the multiple Radars, then Stealth Shooting was removed by making ships visible in shooting range, afterwards smoke changed.. There always had been people complaining about and people accepting the challenge. And just like those days when neither of the major changes were taken back, the community will sooner or later accept and deal with it. And guess what.. there will be people doing better and people doing worse and we will have the whole scale of emotions, skills, stats and whatever from good to bad. Finally and besides.. it's just a game and mindset + attitude fully influences performance - as in life. As long, as it's possible to produce extraordinare constantly, the reason is not the game, the reason is oneself... Just some thoughts..

Simply not true. Besides - CVs are only available every 2nd tier. If you pick a CV of your choice in Tier 4 or 6 and I pick a DD in +-1 Matchmaking (due to you only got every 2nd Tier to choose) you would not only for sure lose planes 1 on 1, you would probably lose 8 to 10 out of 10 encounters 1 on 1. As to random gameplay: Tier 4 CVs are absolutely no problem to deal with. You could almost ignore them, just dodge a bit, nothing special. Tier 6 is a bit more difficult for average DD captains might be a challenge, but no serious threat if u know what u do in a DD. Tier 8 unicums/superunicums can be tough without adapting your play. Adapt and they are not more challenging than before rework. Tier 10 is the same with the difference that you gotta adapt and have to be extraordinary skilled not only handling your ship but reading games, development and odds/results of your actions. So it‘s pretty much the same like befor. What most people do argumenting on the board in this matter is to project superunicum CV vs average DD encounters in high tier gameplay on all games, which is totally nonsense.

Impossible play with DD after this CV rework
little_rowboat replied to Mydgard's topic in General Discussion
Indeed. That claim, that attacking DDs isn’t rewarded is one example of all the nonsense in this thread. If the aspect of people, tending to whine about everything, instead of accepting the challenge, wouldn’t be so depressing, the act of people philosophizing about things, they obviously can’t grasp in total, would be entertaining. -

slingshot drop or cv gameplay at his worst...

Do you really want him to break 6k base exp? Take 3 caps solo with a CV and you're pretty close to it (though those game situations where capping 2 bases alone in CV happen not often, might had been a only enemy DD or CV alive situation) I'm curious for the replay of that game development 2b honest. A signifcant share of those impressive 5,2k base Exp came from taking 2 caps solo, as Exp-reward for capping grows exponentially over the classes DD<<Cruiser<<BB<<CV. Even dealing 100k more damage wouldn't had result in 6k base. -

Impossible play with DD after this CV rework

Might be, but then this happens period obviously, which ends up in the same result that the rare circumstance of meeting competent CVs being a real threat is an event happening with a regularity like solar eclipses. Both events have parallels either when the sky gets dark -
Nächstes Free XP Schiff?

Danke. -
3 down after 3 minutes due to heading out to confront the attacking team.. last 6 minutes we were 2 and I tried, but unfortunately they got the last generator with 20 sec left and then could long range hit the station With that magic heal I could hold the northern flank alone against 2 Alster, 1 Galaxy and a Paris. This was hell of a ride and fun

Impossible play with DD after this CV rework

Just stumbled into this matchmaking.. yep I know the time, but game was created after 10 seconds in the queue, somehow not necessary imho. Challenge accepted. Seems like the top situation to prove the DD - CV constellation, aye? Bottom tier and permanently in focus due to not many other targets.. The result was short of Kraken (Farra survived with 500 hp when we reached 1k pts). Welcome to the church of adaption - we pray ADAPTION -
Gearing, Shimakaze and Z-52 need some love.
little_rowboat replied to M0bius_One's topic in General Discussion
Yep, short minded by me. Over different players it distorts statistics. On a single player it was obvious until the game specific premium time came. Would be nice to get a filter to base Exp, but I doubt WG will introduce it, because that would remove an argument of selling the premium times. The expenditure for implementation probably is ridiculous small and WG probably uses the data for balancing anyway. -

Would be interesting to know some internals of WG, especially if that CV-rework-issue is handled as a business case or under the context of CSI. Knowing that one can predict what to happen in the future. If it has been handled as business case it’s more or less the scenario @xxNihilanxx drew if it‘s more in the context of CSI it‘s more like what @El2aZeR expects and WG should think about getting a new CSI manager as service quality is always defined by the customer and reading the board, customers tend to be not that satisfied, lol. -

Ship-based Average EXP is also a good indicator to contribution, because it includes capping and decapping. besides and not according to you: When it comes to comparing ships based on average exp you got to keep sich gifted like Sims in mind but overall it’s a good indicator either. Neither winrate, nor damage and K/D ratio, nor average EXP alone tell the whole story. Mostly reading a complete player profile with all the given numbers either on Wows-numbers or the WG (ingame) profile pretty much tells you how a player tends to play and which ships suits him or which not and why given the fact that you know the ships a bit by own experience. Not that I do that checking before or in games, sometimes it‘s interesting to put some posts in this board into perspective. -

It's repeatable.. my 2nd Double Strike on 2 full hp CVs - didn't thought this would ever happen again -
The low tier 6 without def AA really tried to carry, but got finally sunk by the tier 8 CV. Still, it was possible to contribute significantly to the game. As MM took me into tier 8 games with 2 CVS in all 7 games this Saturday I switch to work a bit which probably is more reasonable, lol

That idea is short minded, because winrate is (given all the other factors still longterm) a measure for skill and this will result in: (1) average players with slightly over 50% in the beginning will drop below 50% because they longterm are the factor for losses in that player pool where they are the bad players now. Due to that they will fall into the <50% pool sooner or later. (2) the slightly below 50% will get over 50% soon because they are the factor for wins over the worse ones in the <50% pool. The only thing that happens in that scenario is, that you exclude the best from playing against the worst longterm which results in slightly alignment for both extremes to the average. The majority of players will meet each other again shifting between those two player pools over time being more frustrated than now and matchmaker will have less players to match against. Players tend to forget they are over 50% winrate and over 2k wows rating because there is somebody on the other hand that is below. The own results are always relative to the wide mass of sailors. It‘s fine as it is and it‘s not as bad as it seems sometimes when you keep in mind that (1) it is only a game and (2) there is always somebody that is better than oneself and that might think about oneself the same as you think about worse players. I don’t want to play a game where constantly the below 1k ratings are bashed by the 2k ratings that are bashed by the 3k ratings which are laughed at by the 4K ratings (same with winrate 80>70>60>50>40). Being better or worse is always relative and the tendency to find a lower (social) class to bash on exists already in RL, so why bring that habit to a game that is supposed to be fun.. no sense in that from my view.

Indeed. Some also take this game as mental compensation from work. That game is sort of coping for aggression in a 50-60 hour business week. Sometimes I imagine some of my employees, management-colleagues or customers sitting in the ship I just sunk and stress is gone for a while Psychiatrists cost much more than 50 bucks

If you can convince WG, you can have some of mine. Everything exceeding the 600 isn’t needed anymore.

Right, wrong..or ?? question to experienced players
little_rowboat replied to Joergensen's topic in General Discussion
Indeed. Would be curious to see that either. On the one hand for player base but also as a statistic in the profile with mapping on ships and/or tiers. -
That‘s some big words for somebody getting carried by TTT-teammates. As your solo results aren’t that far from the people you write about in a condescending way, I would suggest some humility. just my 2 cents.. besides: kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows...
