In game I think I work best with French BB,s ( God help Me I am a Brit X Pat ) Although I like American BB,s, and I enjoy Worcester a lot.

Dont get into a BB one on one gun fight at close quarters with a Richelieu, the chances are even if you out tier it, it will hurt you! Why ? <r> The ship moves and turns well, Large heavy slow shells, with guns that get on and stay on target, and if you do out turn it, the secondary,s are in the back and will " bite you in the A$$ " while you are reloading. I think its a Very good Brawling Ship 1 on 1 I like it.

Richelieu is a very strong ship at T8. You have to know how to play her, I understand frustration at bow tanking / camping, I dont like sitting still myself, and you may find that your turrets get damaged a lot, You might wish to build for that. She is not my go to ship in Random, but neither is Jean Bart ( very similar play style ) In Ranked She is a Goddess where she is not up tiered, She is best played bow tanking at around 12km +/- 2, The secondaries are good but a full secondary is not recommended because of the lay out of the secondary guns. Personally I like to get into gun fights with other BB close and personal, so as a tactic, you dont really want to be fighting cruisers ( snipe them ) and multiply targets hence take your time and pick your fights. ( Why I like Rank Fights, not for the rank, but I like 6v6, 7v7, 1v1 ) I find this useful :- When in Random, because the chances are you will face more cruisers. In he main all the french Q turrets, play the same, there better when not up tiered. Good Luck Man ~~~

OK, I understand what you are saying, but lets look at this more " Military " I have played a decent amount of High Tier DD, in teams and solo, I love DD play when I can get my " personal sh1t " together to concentrate on the game play, because there is a " perceived pressure " on players to have some sort of good stats, a significant number of the player base, is going to factor that in there game play ( not sure I explained that well but hey ho 2nd cup of coffee ) If a dd player gets " Deleted in the fist 5 mins of a game, superfluous, to if he played good, bad, that player is going to be angry, demoralised, upset, hopefully he/she is, going to try some thing different. He / She, now has to contend with CV, Radar, hydro, other DD,s ! Man that,s a " Busy Office Environment" to be a dd player. you can not blame a DD player who wants to try new tactics, and stay alive longer, now can you? Staying alive longer for your team is actually not a bad idea! This thread was to try and stimulate a tactical conversation on dd play, I wanted to do it in here, because this forum has a bad reputation for toxic and negative comment, the bad reputation is an idea I think is " not with out merit. " DD tactical conversation should include interaction with other units, so if you think the interaction is " crap " with BB,s you should give us wisdom ( as you see it ) on how BB can react better with DD,s Regards o7

M8 I have most of the legendary modules on TX DD, I use to play DD in clan and divisions, Blar Blar BTW all done in random ! not co-op ! Now I play BB,s Trust me DD,s right now are toxic and time consuming for little pleasure or reward, The current meta demands a " re think " on DD tactics

So we agree a Shimakaze, is not a capping dd, it is more an offensive hunting dd, best played on a flank as a solo warrior ?

You may be right in regard to " other threads ", I think having it in one place, one thread is more efficient. I didn't want to open this in reddit ( yes I do have an account under a different name than this forum ) I do not over estimate any thing, I just wanted a thread to discuss ideas and if DD are now unplayable in the current meta, if there not unplayable, lets chat about tactics etc Regards
