Thats because you have not faced combat in real life, trust me in real combat you can wet your paints as much as you want, but you open your mouth while doing it, and some bad a$$ sniper is going to put a 7.62 in your sweed.

Correct me if I am wrong here but I think Cossack has better Daka Daka than Lightning, thus may be the gun boat, with the appropriate build, of choice for the discerning Pro Ship Killer.

@El2aZeR I would like to discuss some salient points on your game. A) The tactical discussion about T4 has started, and is the mind of the forum, If my tactic, does not work some one will come up with something better. We have some good brains in this forum and there game knowledge is out standing, look how quick the code was broken in the new port, I bet WG never thought that would be so quickly broken. Players are already doing it, trying it like Jethro as stated. B) The ships in your game, where not the most AA dynamic possible in T4 excluding the 6 Carriers. ( 6 carriers yiyiyi Man ) C) You game very aptly highlights the Issue and unfairness of T4 for the player who is " young " in game and is trying to build there skills. D) There is a solution, we do not have to go to war in real life, however in the history of human conflict Men and Women have over come great hardship together to fight foes. I have faith in this forums abilities to solve this issue. This game is a Conflict for Humans Now, subs are coming this may change the dynamic, the Blob tactic is team dependant and the green CV should move with its fleet and actively scout the red CV, so long range suppression fire can start to be put down ( I dont know in the new rework if the carriers deck is on fire can it still launch aircraft? ) The green CV is no use if it hides in a corner and that play will soon be chastised by the team. Players should study the T4 ships and the AA on the ships and the appropriate Captain skills and builds, along with the sweet spots for the CV they face ( hit them under the smoke stacks where the citadels are ) I find it a fascinating tactical conundrum, and others will be like me, They will refuse to lay down and not fight. I would also like to add to what @affie said, you should seriously do your " home work " before you buy it for each ship the pros and cons, The CC,s test them in YouTube and post, some fit the ships, but you might have " Better options " for that ship. 17.5k coal is a big chunk of coal, that isn't that easy to replace. There are a lot of very knowledgeable CC,s out there, take all of them into account before you commit. o7

@natswright I think more people are playing it for the coal, I do feel your frustrations after being rammed, torpedoed ( more than 10 games ) shot blar blar by my own team, if I didnt have enough to do, anyway. I do not know what the solution is and you make some good points. I think the " short format " is a far more " thinking game " thus more enjoyable for Myself. I believe all the team should lose a star taking the " save a star " mentality out of it, although a significant number of Established players say it would not work. o7

I honestly do not think WG sells wins, or I would of done it! ( I do not like losing at any thing ) I do not want to lose CV and I embrace Submarines, they both add some thing. What " Irritates " Me is, I am trying to bring players in the game, and when My " dudes " are telling me they can not build how I wish them to ( ie play a lot of games in lower tires 1st, establish what they like and dislike and why they do or dont, then buy a premium ship they know some thing about ) because the CV,s kill's them quickly, I find it ( whats the word urmm ) 4king Annoying ! People can not have it both ways, ie moaning the player base is Sh1t and farm them in lower tiers, how do they get good, to coin a phase I dislike. Regards.

I honestly would buy into a long play tactical Submarine meta, where your on RTS long range patrol. It would not fit into the game meta, but could easily be a separate game mode, with in WOWS

However @El2aZeR I will be putting long hours in testing Submarines in a training room

How do they do that? In T2 -T3 you have Torpedo Ally and at T4 you have the CV XP Farmers.
