Well, coal is a resource that is obtained for free. Thus any ships acquired by exchanging your coal for them means that the ship you acquired was for free also. If WG allowed you to sell the ship you got for free for credits, then that is a potential financial loss to WG since you can buy credits in the premium shop or exchange doubloons for credits. To minimise losses it makes sense that WG would plug any potential loop holes that could circumvent this. They are a company after all. You could get signal flags for coal and then sell them for cash, but they can also be bought for cash in the arsenal. When you resell anything like signals, the resale price is <50% of that paid to get them so again. you loose money doing that not WG.

Well wolf, I have put the question to WG: Because if gun performance on both ships is similar, then I would rather get the T9 version as it would be deemed OP. Just like Yamusashigate. Really not feeling an up-tiered TX ship at all. I want more from the B65, I want a heavy hitter. For as it stands now, Alaska seems a much better ship at T9. Shell Weight, ballistics, damage and HP are all on point.

@Sehales Can you clarify for us what the physical difference will be between the Azuma and the Yoshino, apart from torps? Will the reload be the same for both, will their main batteries do the same damage, will the Yoshino have heavier shells? I feel like these two ships are too similar to differentiate between them, there has to be something else the TX ship will bring to the table performance wise?

Gascogne is a great trainer for the Republique since they have the same gun positions and they both have great secondaries. I think that the Gascogne can be an OP ship in the right hands, I have over 60% WR in it my highest for any T8+ BB. There is not much to say about that ship other than it is a beauty. You're right about the Vanguard though and in fact most Brit BBs in general are a poor tech line, I feel like the ballistics are pure fantasy and let the whole line down. The only Brit BB I have kept is the KGV and Dreadnought for historical reasons, the rest is just meh. I have heard that warspite is good, but WW1 ships are not really my thing.

No I mean in game you can stop someone messaging you, even those not on your blacklist. Black lists do not extend to in game.
