Simple suggestion. CTRL+Clicking on an icon will ping your team of it's avaliability and/or its reload time. World of Tanks has this feature, not sure why we don't. Messages would be displayed in chat like: "Main Guns, ready to fire!" "Main Guns, reloading! __ Seconds remaining!" "Torpedoes, ready to fire!" "Torpedoes, reloading! __ Seconds remaining!" "Surveillance Radar, ready to use!" "Surveillance Radar unavaliable! __ Seconds remaining!"

If the enemy team has a Nakhimov and your team doesn't, you're more than likely losing the game unless you're good or the Nakhimov player is a pure mouthbreather. This ship is comically broken. AA has been a fantasy ever since the Carrier Rework but Nakhimov can strike you basically outside of your AA range and because it only strikes once, its squads are pretty much literally immune to AA fire. Because of how Fighters work, Nakhimov never has to worry about fighters, as the single squad attack will auto detag the fighter. Because Nakhimov only has one strike wave, if it somehow ends up in AA range for a torpedo drop, the squad takes massively reduced damage anyway, due to the mechanic of last squad damage reduction. Nakhimov gets pretty much the best Skip Bombers in the game which are incredibly effective against Destroyers, blows the sides out of Battleships and can chunk Cruisers from ridiculously long ranges. And it gets decent rockets too, because this ship doesn't have enough ways to kill DDs and Cruisers already. It gets to drop 7 5200 damage Torpedoes at once in a narrow pattern, again totally from safe range. Pushing against a Nakhimov is simply impossible and its mere presence in a game makes the entire game utterly miserable to play for the entire enemy team. Nakhimov averages the highest damage of all Tier 10 Flat Tops, beating the closest tech tree CV, Hakuryu, by a whole 15000 damage. The highest rated Nakhimov player on Warship Stats averages 188,619 damage per game, winning 76% of their games in it. Another player has 75% win rate in Nakhimov over 249 battles, another 70% over 300 battles. While these are the outliers, literally any moron can bash their head off the keyboard and come away with 100k+ damage a game without thinking.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedgehog_(weapon) The Hedgehog and all similar ASW Launchers, such as the American Mousetrap, should be implemented on all ships that carried it. These devices fired a large spread of Depth Charges that explode on contact with an enemy submarine. Because World of Warships does not model Sonar Blackout, caused by the disturbance of an underwater explosion, I believe it would be adequate to treat these Depth Charges as if they were proximity fused, like every other Depth Charge in the game. I don't have a full list of all Destroyers that carried the Hedgehog and similar weapons, but pretty much every Allied Destroyer after 1942 begun to carry them due to the ease of retrofit, corrosponding to the Fletcher and Gearing-class for the US Navy, Lightning was launched in 1941 but again due to ease of Retrofit could be an upgrade for about 15000 XP. The Hedgehog would replace the regular Depth Charge drop mechanic and launch the charges forward, in front of the ship to a set distance, which would be aimed with a reticle similar to that of the air drop reticle. One advantage of the Hedgehog is that all of the Depth Charges landed at roughly the same time, creating a large zone where a submarine could be hit. This would probably be a little too powerful for World of Warships, so I'd likely say that on a regular Hedgehog Launcher, which launches 24 Charges, the Charges would be staged to land 6 at a time, perhaps a second apart from each other, giving a submarine player at least a fighting chance of dodging. If a submarine is caught within the range of a Hedgehog, a kill should be highly likely. In reality the Hedgehog was a short range weapon, around 300m, in game this could be buffed to perhaps 600m or even 1-2km, to compensate. Upgraded versions of the Hedgehog, like the Squid and other ASW weapons should also be added to Destroyers that carried them.

It hurts sometimes how true this feels.

IJN torpedoes have huge detection range for some reason, despite having historically the most stealthy torpedoes. -
Had a Cruiser come around an island, didn't see me at 5km, still managed to turn to avoid my torps. :(

Imperial German Ensign on Kaiserliche Marine Ships

A lot of things have been co-opted. If you ban that flag, they'll just use something else. These ships appeared historically flying that flag. -

Why is this still not an option for the Kaiserliche Marine ships such as Konig, Bayern, etc? If I'm correct, the particular flag isn't even banned in Germany, which begs the question why it can't be included.

Short and simple topic. It seems very weird to model new Carriers instead of bringing back historical and interesting Carriers like Zuiho, Hiryu, Taihou, Independence and Essex. It especially seems weird because the descriptions of the Shoukaku and Hakuryu mention both the Hiryu and Taihou, which are no longer in the game. PS: Shinano when?

Is there a reason to play anything other than Soviet ships?
M0bius_One replied to M0bius_One's topic in General Discussion
If you're playing solely to win games, I don't see why you wouldn't play the best ships available, which in most tiers happen to be Soviet. -
