Dude. A bit of decency goes a long way. I’m new to Warships too and I get frustrated as well as you get. Just read the reactions, realize that people that you are abusing left and right are actually trying to help you and maybe consider anger management training. As far as your complaints about the premium ship are concerned, it seems to me you didn’t do your homework. You’v played other WG titles before, you should know they choose to not make their premium content too much pay to win. Turns out you don’t have the required skills to make the ship you bought shine just yet. Might be wise to not blame everyone but you for that. Makes it hard to take you seriously. Can’t believe you guys still respond in the helpful fashion you guys do. Not complaining though. Seems like I stumbled on a community consisting of human Labrador retrievers. Hard to antagonize...

I think you might be hitting the nail right on the head here. I’m not sure I can do it all over again, getting through the stages of very much stinking my way to some acceptable level of gameplay. Maybe more so since now I’m aware I am failing a lot. Starting tanks I could feel good getting one kill a game. Never even saw any stats until one year into the game. Guess we’ll see in the coming months. At least the part of the community I’ve met so far has been really awesome.

Alright, so back again. About this Winrate thing. People make it sound like it’s a good way to measure skill. Thing is, so far I assume I’m the potato in most games. Still I end up around the middle a lot. And I cannot seem to get me a win. At one point I was 38% Winrate. Now I’m not carrying anything for a while yet, but surely the rest of the team should be balanced with the enemies’ or even the enemy team have to suffer about the same amount of unskilledness (it’s a word, trust me ) as mine does m right? Just trying to get a grasp on the dynamics here. In WoT I know I can get my Winrate up by carrying myself but even more with my platoon.

I think I have to get back to that one. I kept it because I really liked playing it. I am kinda torn between progressing to a broad array of tier 3/4 ships to experience different play styles and sticking to the ones I like during my learning curve. I do still very much have a WoT state of mind which makes it hard for me to take low tiers seriously. As we all know low tiers are for potatoes and seal clubbers, right? (shhhht, I went in denial on the whole ‘being a potato’ thing) At this point, all information is appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Thank you , sir/madam! It’s actually worse here. I’m eh... I eh.. I’m coming from WoT Console. I bought myself a brand new laptop recently, for ‘business purposes’ and it happened to have a state of the art graphics card. I swear, purely coincidental. Nothing to do with me wanting to play Warships and Rimworld. So I’m getting used to both ships and mouse/keyboard. So yeah.

Thanks for the replies, all. I didn’t think of the possibility to grind in Co-op. Might try that. I’m not necessarily going for cruiser lines, just getting a feel for different classes and I plan on staying in tier 4 or lower for a while, since I kinda need the training wheel MM right now. I went Japan, USA and Germany to play around at these tiers, as I gathered that these nations are generally best all rounders. Well that, and Germany has awesome Battleships. If I’m mistaken or you guys have any pointers other than already given, I’m very much in learning mode here. Any input is appreciated right now. I pretty much forgot what it felt like being a potato all over again. It might actually make playing WoT a bit less frustrating...

Another noob joining in here. I got myself that Phoenix you mention and am having a hard time getting through the stock grind. Now I know not to judge a ship until it’s fully upgraded (WoT veteran, virtually the same principle applies here regarding grinds, I think?) but until then I’m sailing around in what feels like an undergunned and very flimsy ship. I realize I may not be contributing to the discussion much with this. I think I’m just looking for some motivation to keep at it. This Phoenix thing will be great eventually, right? Right? Am I right? Please tell me I’m right...
