I already regret selling the Texas.. =/ But i now no longer have a Captain for the Fiji, so there isn't much point in keeping the Fiji.

I have no Loyang or high Tier German ships.. thanks tho.. its on the Edinburgh now :)

my 2 other main ships are.. Kagero (up to Shimakazi, eventually), and Mahan(up to Gearing). so none of those can use it.. cheers Pete :)

I usually play Japanese DD's... but i have the occasional good game on my Fiji :) 250+ shells landed.. plenty of kill stealing being done... but i was very happy with that game.. :) I'm a Mediocre player at best.. less than 50% WR .. i started on Japanese DD's as my Aim used to be awful. but I.m slowly improving

I playing Fiji at the moment, And yes I'm a *player* who hides in smoke a lot, in my last match, i fired 1 round of shells at a Lyon, 3 Ricochet and 1 shatter, a whopping 0 damage.... he returned his shells at me, In smoke, behind an Island.... and hit me for my entire HP bar... I just think you might need a little more practice on how to deal with us Smokey's . :D lol *EDIT* i was fully stopped and at a slight angle, was this pure luck? who knows!.. but i lol'd it off and went for my bath..

I'm a few days xp away from the Yugamo at the moment (few months of credits tho lol), Persistence pays off, Looking back, Mutsuki was a good ship, Probably my most successful Japanese DD in terms of games played and kill % ratio, I've learned to just flee from the gunships, I have no answer to the Gearing/Benson/Fletcher/Chung Mu/Z-52 etc in a knife fight. So i just escape the best i can.. When you get up to this level, its hard to land those torps as players have perfected thier torpedo beating skills so like captain said... send 1 volley in, and predict if they will turn in/out/slow.. *sigh* I've had a few 0 battle contributions.... :'( but always up there spotting for the team..

Hey all, Looking for a little slice of advice, I'm at the Kagero and having trouble. I know its a Torp ship, but the the Gun's are very underwhelming. They hit hard enough but its the 26.1 Turret turn time, 7.5 reload. When i come across another DD, i get trashed, i try my best to stay undetected but there's always someone with a hydro/radar to leave me exposed. When I'm trying to flee (at a whopping 35kts).. i rarely get shots off as my guns are always facing the wrong way, getting more shots off while fleeing might help deter them chasing me across the map. I know their job is to hunt me down, but once detected, i have little or no answer to a Gunship. Would the captain skill "Expert Marksman" help? i currently have Adrenaline rush to help lower the reload times. Could switch them. Oh i have a 12 point captain, Preventative Maintenance, Adrenaline rush, Last stand, Superintendent, Concealment expert. And i'm trying out Torpedo reload booster premium,

Hey everyone.. I started playing Yesterday, and i love the game, really enjoyed it at the start, As a British player, i started with the British ships. Working my way through the Cruisers and a Battleship, recently upgraded my latest cruiser to the Emerald i think its called, but my survival rate has dropped heavily to Zero, I haven't survived a match in a very long time now. I choose to go out around the small islands or attack the zones long range and provide cover to the destroyers etc. But I'm now literally getting sunk but the first shots.. people's accuracy is insanely good that my last match i didn't even get a shot/Torpedo off.. and i was done.. from 10.0km+ .. I change course and speed but that makes no difference, Screenshot 2 i see people with AMAZING skills of accuracy .. i must be a bad player as i cant compete with these people/teams I'm doing something wrong as 2 level boats ago (Caledon) i was was getting roughly 1-3 kills per game. The occasional 0 game, But i cant survive 1 minute now. I'm never stationary, always moving and trying to evade, turning hard to set up Torpedo fires, So any handy tips would be good, Have i got a bad ship? Bad Tactics? I must be doing something wrong.. plz help as is no fun at the moment.. :(

Yeah. I've bought an Isokaze, to play with, I'm really not getting on with the Kagero, its been reduced to playing it until 1 win per day, to use the +50% Bonus XP. But i will eventually park it for good, in my opinion its worse than the Akatsuki (which i sold to pay for the upgrades on the Kagero), The Torp's are detected at 1.7 so they are easily beaten, The guns hit hard once the the turrets have caught up with the ship weaving, so when you are running from a Gearing, Loyang, Z-23 you are seriously outgunned. Although the Concealment is great at 5.4 in my last battle, a DD had Hydro and absolutely crushed me.. I had no answer to him, as when i fired and then tried to evade his shells.. my guns were facing totally the wrong direction.. I have been Trying to get my US DD line up, currently up at the Farragut. I just play that like a Fiji, get in a good spot, smoke up, let it rain :) really nice guns on the US DD's. :) I did start the Pan-Asia DD's but didnt like the fact they have Deep water torps. Seriously Disappointed with the Kagero for a T8... never mind :) I have a Fiji to keep me smiling now :)

its not worth it then .. as my highest ship is a Tier 8 .. maybe if i get a Teir 10 1 day.. much appreciated :)

Emerald is a ship that when i see 1 i instantly switch to AP.. and let those Citadels ring, So how I played an Emerald is stay out of Open water, Stay covered behind islands, or if no islands, smoke up!. But have an exit plan, looks for those DD's to kill, use torps when someone is charging at you in smoke.. never sit still in smoke, gently rock back and forward, 1/4 speed/reverse. You Premium smoke if u can afford it, and try and get extra xp from capping and defending caps.. etc.. its a rough time, but trust me, the Leander is a much better ship. but has the similar/same tactics.. Emerald is a Horrible grind.. but practice firing from cover as you will be doing alot of that in the next few tiers. I got about 50% of the way through and just used free xp for the rest.. =/

This!!.. I'm currently at the Kagero on my japanese DD line now... and i've rushed up the tiers and now I'm faced with formidable opponents and i simply die too easy if i play too aggressive, or score nothing if I'm too passive and trying to pick the right targets etc... I'm tempted to buy an Isokaze/Mutsuki and just do it all over again and just have fun this time!.. its no fun in a Kagero meeting a Z-46 or a Gearing that i can assure you :) Tier X ships are punishing.. People's ability to dodge torps and aim are alot better, even tho my Kagero is fully upgraded, and 5.4 concealment, its hard going.. I have learned my lesson 1-4 are fun, 5-7 good games 8+ punishing for noobs like me .. :(

that was my issue with it, it was hard to compete when a Minekazi spotted me first, especially if i had escaped a destroyer earlier.. I've struggled on by, up to the Ataksuki now.. that's just another big headache too.. :) All the help given has been really great so far. Cheers.

Well!. You're spot on with that assessment, to me Torp boats are all about Detectability Range by Sea, this has the worst by far of all my boats i've played in the DD lines, 7.2 with 3% camo at the moment. Torp boats should be quick, nimble, and sneaky. But the Ataksuki is the most frustrating thing ever until all the other DD's are out of the game, I'm a fairly new player (400 Battles now). I didn't know about moving Ship Captains from boat to boat until i was at the Mutsuki so i don't have the level 4 Concealment skill, I'm 2 points from it, which is a loooong way right now. I have all my flags on for bonus captain Xp, and even a Camo but its a long what when you don't get much score due to being spotted and the then all the ships in 10k range unleash hell on me. My Det at sea with Camo is 7.2km's.. every game i get matched with more DD's than in my team so i have to try and play it like a Leander/Emerald... move in .. smoke up.. try pick off a DD with random torps into smoke, I enjoy the extra turret for sure, and i do make good use of it but its not supposed to be a Gun boat. If i wanted a Gun boat i would've stuck with the Pan-Asia or USN line... My frustration levels at the matchmaking right now is making me not want to play any more. I am loosing interest faster than I'm loosing games, my only hope is to get matched up with a few teams where they nuke the other teams DD's early on.. but i'll have wasted all my flags by then +333% commander XP flags by then /sigh =/

I'm new(ish) .. Very new in battleships, i think i have played less than 10 games in total in a Battleship... Find it hard to land shots, where others strike everytime .. I'm more used to destroyers and cruisers without a doubt but BB's seem slow.. not much fun but I'm trying to get better.. My performance wasn't the best.. but getting abused on a Bellerophon makes me not way to play it again.. then this guy proceeds to abuse me in chat.. he seems to have issue with me firing from cover and not charging in and getting sunk like him.. any help would be greatly received as i don't particularly want to ruin anyone else's game so much that they feel to need to rant at me. =(

just got the 10k Torps on the Fubuki... this changes everything... :D i love again..

its okay.. i just lack the xp to buy the 10k torps.. so i get spotted and wiped out before i get much damage racked up.. where on the Mutsuki, if i didnt encounter any destroyers... i could rack up some nice damage ..

Thank you, that's all i wanted to know. :) I don't have the Camouflage Expert talent yet so i'll just have to make do.. That explains not being able to see Minekazi's until 5.5km's... Cheers :) I'll edit it.... every destroyer i faced today... my most sincere apologies

ColonelPete.. unless im mistaken.. I posted 2 screenshots.. of the 2 ships... mine has the lowest... but i get spotted first.. .. Im asking what can i do, i have the lowest "detecability by sea" range ... but other spot me first =( and no.. im not firing.. im trying to get in close to let off my torps..

I'm in a battle, my ship becomes detached from my camera, and its sails away ... happens quite a lot now, 2-3 times a day, its quite frustrating as I'm trying to get good on my Isokaze and the game keeps crashing :( Cheers

Some solid advice..thanks! And I have removed the images to not name people. I think I'll stick to the destroyers and cruisers. At least I have some idea what to do, not much but some, I have watched videos on battleships. They were firing from cover hence that's what I thought I had to do.. I also thought the Bellerophon was a training ship to learn with, but I'll mothball my BB's for now. As I'm not good with them. Cheers
