Småland fire rate testing - DD skills don't work as advertised?
Miscommunication_dept replied to Gebe_'s topic in General Discussion
Tested this theory with Druid A build with just main battery reload mod with a theoretical 1.67s reload A build with fearless brawler, BFT and main battery reload mod and a theoretical 1.43s reload Both fired against a bot Montana for two minutes. for 1.67s reload we would expect 287 shots, we actually only managed 282. For 1.43s reload we would expect 336 shots, we again managed 282. This is in line with the theory above that server ticks would make both builds fire every 1.71s So I will keep my AFT and RPF on my druid as in smoke a full dpm build with AR wold only have improved reload at about 40% health when the reload drops below 1.43s. In open water though, a full dpm build would have a reload of 1.42 at 97% health. -
Disperion of BBs (Japan-Special)

In total dispersion area the Montana beats the Yamato everywhere. The difference is biggest at long range. Yamato has boosted sigma so feels accurate, or so with the other Japanese ships. -
Full price Marceau or Lutjens?
Miscommunication_dept replied to Godlyuniverse_1's topic in General Discussion
No I understand that. Just saying that getting captain even from 19-21 points costs so much. -

At the commander reowrk I had nearly 29,000,000 Elite commander XP. Even now I only have just over 20,000,000. I've spent 9 million more than I earnt to get 21 pointers and to change their builds. -

I thought they were going to fix it but here we are half a year later, I suppose it’s working as intended. 4 points to nerf your carrier! -
I just wanted to get opinion on which shell fuse time is superior for supercruisers. WG have just announced the change of the WIP Carnot fuse time from 0.01s to 0.033s. They also removed the short fuse from, Agir and Odin before they were released. I Consider this a nerf as even with 0.01s fuse the shell pens straight through armour and into the citadel. I understand that the longer fuse time is better for spaced armour, but I think fewer overpens would make up for this. Even my Druid with it's 0.005s fuse proves long enough to citadel most cruisers. However, I did find a Saint Louis and 27 torp protection hits later, I was dead. However, a well known streamer seems to consider the change from 0.01s to 0.033s a buff. Thoughts?

Just had a look at https://jcw780.github.io/wows_ballistics/ This graph is Agir AP impacting Smolensk citadel armour and its 18m beam. Purple line is normal Agir AP with it's 0.033s fuse time Green colour is Agir AP with a 0.01s fuse time as it was when initially tested. Clearly up to 14km, the short fuse is far superior. However, on something more substantial like a Worchester, even long fuse Agir shells will explode inside the citadel from 7.5km. Stalingrad magic shells shouldn't overpen a Smolensk citadel at less than 5.6km. So why not use a short fuse? Agir shells with a 0.01s fuse timer at 16km still have to penetrate 5 metres before detonation, that should be will within the citadel of any battleship, if of course Agir could pen battleship citadels at that range. I think I can safely conclude here that short fuses are beneficial but not the extent I previously thought. (I realise I have answered my own question here but it may be helpful to someone else) -
And ....we have have note from Flambass ....

This is it. Last time he had a wows break he seemed to get getting just a few hundred viewers of his stream, far less than half the 1000+ that watch his wows stream. I’m not sure how it effected his income but I’d expect a large drop in income if he dropped WOWS. -

Are we concerned that Marceau might get removed? Its more popular than the Smalland that was removed for being too popular… -

How many german premiums do you have? For me I use Lutjens on Mainz, Immelmann, Pommern, Tirpitz, Tirpitz B, Scharnhorst, Odin and Zf-6. He is trained on the Elbing. If you haven't got many german premiums then I would say you should ignore him. Marceau is a great ship and if I were you I would wait for the coupon and buy it in December. However, If you think you will have enough steel for another steel ship before next June, you should save the coupon for that and pay full price for the Marceau! -
You bought 100?

Just yesterday I had two big examples of this. One, in the druid about to et smoke ready to kill a zao with another DD spotting. Enemy CV flew by and spotted me by accident, zao killed me. Two, troublesome Shima bothering my battleships, found him and kept him let with my torp bombers while everyone shot him. Spotting is huge, sometimes you wonder if WG staff actually play the game. -
What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

FDR is more challenging than I expected but very fun. My team died so it was 1v3 at the end. -
I did wonder what they meant by flat topped ballistics as they then said short to medium range.

Lines that were better than expected?

The new German destroyers. They looked poor on paper but the Elbing is ridiculously strong. -
From what I’ve seen it looks a lot lower than 50%.
-
Keep thinking about Gilbralter. I really like AP cruisers and destroyers But it has only slightly more AP dpm than Goliath and no HE to fall back on Gilbralter AP DPM: 265,000 Minotaur AP DPM: 600,000 Des Moines AP DPM: 490,000 It does just beat Petropavolosk though but has not much more than half the pen at range.... I'm a little underwhelmed.

Turret traverse, Gun feeder Priority target Adrenaline Rush, Super intendent and the AP skill Top grade gunner and concealment AP skill is probably the last one to get if you do not yet have 21 points
-
They use the exact same formula, I checked today. They do have different ranges which is why the dispersion looks different, it scales with range.
-
There's too many people checking. LWM even found by testing that some ships turned differently than their stats suggested, WG fixed this soon after she highlighted it.

WG are usually very good at telling us about nerfs. A nerf to Missouri accuracy would be seen by dataminers very quickly indeed. That said, they did seem to make undocumented CV nerfs here:

I agree with the above, rename the new 'designers table' as 'gamer's table' and keep the old one game. The new one is nice but there is something very special about the current designers table. -

It’s for whales. I was once a whale but it was only hundreds per year, not event!!! I would love to know how many people complete this event but I’m sure WG will never tell us this.
