I keep thinking about vampire but I bought Druid instead as it looked far more interesting. I’ve really enjoyed it but it has weaknesses. Vampire does look strong but the lack of heal and long smoke downtime concern be compared to the Daring.

She’s no where near as brittle as you make out. She has a turtle back that sometimes helps but sometimes doesn’t. You will certainly want to spend most of your time using it’s good range while wriggling your bottom at the enemy. Its 38mm pen means American, french and British battleships are your best target for HE spam. It has probably the best armament of any tier 8 cruiser but is not tanky or agile.

I really would like them to make a tier ten version with Hindi armour, a heal and a bit more dakka.

I don’t think Ragnar is inferior. It’s a Smalland with Kleber shell arcs and pinpoint accuracy. As a long range spammer it’s far superior to the Smalland. In DD warfare it trades Concealment and dpm for good anti DD plating and shells that are far easier to place on target.

I might agree with Bourgogne. If these super ships are released it might start to suffer. Right now though it’s an extremely fun blend of cruiser and battleship gameplay. HE to burn angled ships and reload booster to punish those who give broadsides. Very strong. FDR is strong but boring and lacking game impact against destroyers. Personally, I’m going for Ragnar next. Its not just a long range HE spammer. It’s radar and armour make it one of the worst DDs to go one to one against.

Top grade gunner brings it down to 5.5s. Combined with Lutjens’ skill brings it down to about 5 seconds. Add max AR to this and you get close to four seconds of reload.

Mainz HE dpm is good and HE pen is excellent. Mainz AP dpm is huge and punishes anything with softish sides very well indeed.

Epic kill stealing? 2000 dmg, 3 kills!

Most money spent on game? The best players have Yoshino black and ARP Yamato

Go ranked and just play it as though it's randoms. Don't stress and get your steel for wins.

Hits destroyers very hard, 7-10k is very common. Murders Minos and Smolensks from all angles. I'm using smoke a lot more now and standing back at times to ensure a destroyer does not come into smoke detect range. Like Napoli, WG have made a ship here that is fun and unique but not OP. I think the point is that the historical argument is wheeled out to explain certain issues with the game then disregarded with others as it suits WG. We do notice this.
