Worth buying back all my tier 8s and 9s for steel? Can I get me a Stalingrad?!

I know they raised the citadel but what else have they done? Notser doesn't seem to have a recent video on it.

I've found the premium version to be better than the disappointing Yamamato super containers i've been receiving recently. Camos are OK and the drop rate for ships seems to be quite good.

With my two new black ships I have been playing T8 a lot. i have been bottom tier only 30% of the time. The big thing is that even when bottom tier you are no longer the only bottom tier playing. Big improvement

I have just received a Tirpitz black. I was comparing it's stats to the Massachusetts black. One is at the top of the T8 battleships standings and one is at the bottom. Tirpitz does 20,000 less damage per battle on average. I was aware that the normal Tirpitz performed badly but I assumed it was inexperienced players buying it causing it's stats to go down. However, in this event I'd expect those buying the Tirpitz and Massachusetts black would be the same kind of players. Why then such a difference?

Massachusetts. The newest and probably strongest ship there. T8 is still very harsh to play so don't jump straight into it.

Makes sense. I had one drop from a Lexington(?) that took 48,000hp from me in my Bismarck. The Tirpitz has far worse AA, there is no better target for AP bombs! The rework may change things.

Well, just won the Masschusetts Black via a free container! Great ship, Guns don't seem much worse than an Alabama, Seems to work well without manual secs due to the dispersion decrease. Now I have to buy a Atlanta So I can share the captain with something!

I'd take Hydro and AA over torps but it does look like it must be player style. Maybe some are too desperate to use those torps..

I once tested the Scharnhorst secondaries with and without manual fire control. Against battleships at 7 km or less the Scharnhorst without took significantly less time to kill a New Mexico than the one with manual secondaries. The irony is at close range you want secondaries to spray so fires are set all over the ship.

At 11km and closer I would say a Tirpitz is a fair bit stronger one-on-one mostly due to the superior armour. If they charge each other the Mass will have to turn at some point to avoid torps and she can be citadelled. However, secondary range is very situational, neither can brawl with destroyers so any brawling will be late game. I haven't fired Massa's guns but Alabama's guns are far superior even to GK's guns and more accurate than Scharnhorst's. Massa is more effective for the first 60% of a battle which probably explains it's better stats. (Glad I'm not the only person who thinks the Hood is a great ship!)

I am happy I received this in a crate. I've been fairly successful but I had Bismarck as my main for months. The torps are absolutely useless, the best part about them is that other battleships will turn broadside to not let you use them!

Everything you said is true of every other T8+ battleship. A Yamato in the same position would just as much of a threat, maybe even a North Carolina. HE can pen all over as mentioned above. IMO not a special ship.

My Moskva citadelled a Vanguard at 13km. I can’t citadel a Yamato at 10km it seems a little too easy.

Just played a battle with my Tirpitz black, I have the mission for 250 doubloons per battle but it seems i would need a regular tirpitz to get it. That needs to be a PSA as in the shop it says: "If you already have the standard Tirpitz in your collection, you can also use her to complete a special Combat Mission after purchasing the bundle. Conditions: simply enter battle on Tirpitz to claim 250 doubloons." NOT the tirpitz B

If this had Missouri, Kronstadt, Jean Bart, Stalingrad, Belfast, Kamikaze, Nikolai, Alaska and all the other ships. I might be tempted. My wife is glad it doesn’t!

Ok I think the matchmaking has improved. I haven’t seen a match with less than 3 T8 per side is a tier 10 match. I’ve also been top tier a little more often. Not conclusive but feels better. Did they change anything with other tiers? I bought an Okhotnik and matchmaking only occasionally has tier 7s in it.

That’s correct, no mention of that or the 10 point commanders that come with them. I did get a mission though.
