Worth noting that Smolensk AP has very good penetration, it can penetrate the casemate or even German battleships. The Mino can’t. I tested it against a Bismarck and once bow stern and superstructure were saturated I couldn’t hurt it anymore. I would never recommend HE is the GK but at least it can’t overpen!

It’s a shame what has happened to this thread. The hood old is a nice ship and Wargaming’s first gift to me. It’s play style is not very interesting but is usually quite effective.....

I do think Smolensk should perhaps only have 25mm armour rather than 30mm. Its still an easily punished ship though due to a tiny health pool. Works well with my Grozovoi captain and survivability expert.

I agree with everything you said but you missed the point. Wargaming informed us about all those changes and in some cases changed their plans to accommodate players sentiment. Here we are accusing Wargaming of changing the game secretly WITHOUT informing us. That is completely different.

They are very weak, Tirpitz is the same. They usually get blown up just as you are aiming!

Do we really think Wargaming will nerf the non-competitive stats of a ship risking being found out by data miners and undermining any trust their players have? For a slightly lower credit haul? It doesn’t make sense to me.

Ohio has battleship dispersion not battlecruiser dispersion. I can’t explain your penetration issues. The numbers say it has good pen.

Not if those two guns miss! A 28% increase in AP DPM is quite normal from tier 9 to tier 10 as is the increase in HP. What isn't normal is the dispersion elipse increasing my 27% (albeit at a slightly longer range). These two facts close to balance each other out. If the dispersion and rate of fire didn't decrease going from Georgia to Ohio the difference between the two ships would be similar to the difference between Iowa and Montana. As it is Ohio looks like a fine tier 10 while Georgia is a very strong tier 9.

Good AA with defensive fire consumable. Highest hp at tier. Great armour profile when angled with armoured cheek. Great gun angles American AP angles (no auto bounce until 60 degrees) this is a big one. Good rudder shift albeit it with a large turning circle. And now good accuracy for a tier 7 battleship. The guns still lack pen so citadelling battleship is not that easy. it was my first ship from a super container.

Citadeled an angled Des Moines at 11km the other day. Fluke shot of course but very nice. Long range AP penetration of the Kleber is higher than the Russian 152mm AP!

How is the a lot Ohio better? 2 more guns but much worse dispersion? Georgia like the Jean Bart is a flanker rather than a brawler due to armour issues. It's accurate guns provide long range citadel shots on all cruisers and over matches almost all of them. Both can brawl little due to good secondaries . Jean Bart better here due to well hidden citadel better turret rotation and reload booster It would be hard to choose between Georgia and Jean bart but the fact a Des moines can bow tank a Jean Bart can be very frustrating

A lot of people didn’t see it as a buff as the short fuse limited overpens on all those low tier cruisers. The accuracy improvement and the retaining of improved pen angles are very helpful.

If you really want secondaries: Currently the Sieigfried has 14 128mm guns with 31mm of HE pen and a base range of 7.6 km. That's 11.4km(roughly) with AFT and the module. Siegfried also has the armour to brawl (for a cruiser). Any idea how they will sell this ship? Hoping for freeXP.

Not much has changed with the Graf spee though it no longer full pens DDs. It is an excellent cruiser killer on those low tier paper armoured cruisers you see everywhere below tier 7. I would advice AP even against battleships as you can hurt them and you will overmatch the bow of T5 battleships. heal is a massive advantage at this tier and those torps are very good against chasing battleships.

Yes! Long range cruiser citadel sniper. Use AP only. Unfortunately, since the DD AP full pen change it is not great against them anymore.

I’ve only reset one but I agree it’s more fun than expected though I did skip straight to tier 6.

Moskva has I believe the longest ranged secondaries. still not worth building for.

It’s a good ship. Though the Budyonny is better.

Ashitaka was recently buffed and given Amagi shells. It’s a strong ship now if fragile. perhaps he hasn’t tried the new version.

If I hadn’t got all ships but one I would want the Perth. It’s such a strong unique ship.
